Salesman can talk a flea off a dog qouted me 10 grand for 2.5 ton unit my house needs 3.5 ton . Also said i needed new panel box the box he looked at was inside the AC panel is outside.These crooks do your work go elsewhere .Anyway got my new system $3 grand less with no add ons or screw job

I cannot believe the number of positive reviews compared to critical reviews. We've used them for about a year for a new AC unit. The installation process was a complete mess that took over a week, it was promised within a day. Now it comes time for service / maintenance on the unit. They show up...late. Say it's fixed, next day...not working. And can't get anyone back for a couple days. Some will say, well you should change suppliers. Well that's difficult in that it will void our 10 year manufacturers warranty, or so we are told. It would be laughable if it wasn't so maddening. This company has some serious issues, at least for us.

Atrocious customer service. End of 2022 we had to redo plumbing in a house we were renovating let’s list the issues. 1. They were supposed to show up on a Monday. Did not show, did not call. They said it was because a hurricane came through. Which is understandable. But no communication. 2. Took way longer then the time frame we were originally given. 3. It is now March 2023 (less than 6 months after all this) and we are selling the home and surprise they never had the permit signed off by the city for this plumbing. Although when they finished in Nov 2022 they said everything was fine after the city had them correct something. Now we are in a position where we cannot sell the home without the permit being completed. We’ve called several times and the managers are dodging our calls. Our attorney has been calling to try to settle this to no avail.

So, around 8 months ago, I found a door knocker on my door and I happened to needed electrical work done so I called. A friendly voice told me when they could come estimate the job. When my tech got there, he took lots of pictures and sent them back to the office. I ask him if he was an electrician and he said “no”, I’m just taking pictures??. After a long talk with his office contact, he gave the phone to me and some guy tells me that the price would be $2,200 for the work. I told him I would get 2 more estimates and he said: “other companies might leave you without power for 24 hours & we have a warranty & he tried to pressure me”. I thanked him but I knew the price was excessive. The work in question was splicing 2 line wires and running two 3 foot load wires from the panel to the meter……about one hours work. The other 2 estimates from licensed electricians were $400 & $250. The lower priced man came and did the job in 22 minutes. I clocked him then I called Duke who turned my power back on in 1 hour a total of 1:45 without power. If I do the math Performance would have charged exactly $100 per minute. I will leave it up to the reader to make their own conclusions about this company. ———————— I wrote a letter to the owner but heard nothing. Yesterday, after 8 months, I received a call by a sales person to respond to my review. She offered no apology just wanted to sell me more. Her offer was to send a team out twice in the next year to inspect my AC. I inquired if this would be free. She said: “Oh no it would not be free”. These people just never quit. How do these “scammers” stay in business? The culture of integrity & honesty of a company comes from the top down……nothing more needs to be said.

Get a second opinion! My husband called and they came out. We thought it was the motor not working. Technician spent maybe 15 minutes checking things and said it's a bad motor. They wanted 1571 to change the motor. We knew the axact motor cost 200 at grainger and 225 on ebay bc we looked before they came out. The tech said it's a 30 minute job. I paid $89 for an assessment and tech says he cant check the whole system because the motor doesnt work. My husband said no thanks I'll do it myself. The owner/supervisor calls me and says we will do it for 1200. My husband says no. The guy calls back again and says 998. My husband says no. Guy says well if you can't get it done let us know. My husband changes the motor and still nothing working. Husband calls the performance guy and he never calls back after saying he would. I was over them so I called essential air conditioning at 3 pm on Friday and the guy was at our house by 530 pm. He stayed an hour. He said the new motor was installed correctly and he checked some things and determined it was the circuit board. And he's not over charging us .its not worth working with these big companies that want to charge so much. AND nothing was wrong with our old motor.

Y’all saved the day again Both pronto ac and ac therapist told me I need to run wire through my house to install a smart thermostat, misquoted the job and tried to play games once in the house. Santiago came in, found a connection already there, saved me time and money. Educational and a gentlemen. Highly recommend Will use you guys any and every time. Actually looking forward to when my ac kicks the bucket so y’all can put in a new one

Troy was AWESOME and is definitely an asset to your company. He was very knowledgeable , professional , and friendly. Performance Air Conditioning is lucky to have him . Troy spent the time necessary without rushing to go over my options regarding repairing my HVAC or purchasing a new HVAC system. I'm a novice with AC units but he explained everything in layman terms so I could understand what he was talking about . I would personally like to thank Troy and Performance Air for a job well done !! They may not be the cheapest but we all know the saying " you get what you pay for " . Troy is a good man . Thanks again I am adding more to my post because I'm a member of Performance Air and receive plumbing as well as electrical home evaluations. Today April 7th Mike C came over to flush my water heater and evacuate my plumbing . Once again in my opinion Performance Air hit a home run . Mike did a thorough job was professional, knowledgeable and just a nice guy. I want ya'll to know I will post part 3 when I get my electrical evaluation. I personally want to thank Mike C as well as Performance Air for a job well done ! C_O_N_T_I_N_U_E_D . I stopped my membership at performance Air. I realized that the company is out of control on their prices !! I had good service just outrageous prices . I definitely suggest shopping around when it comes time to purchase a new AC unit .

I'm retracting my previous review, since just recently I had them come out on a plumbing call, not only did they send technicians that did not have any of the required equipment, but they used my tools and wet vac. 4hrs later they were unavailable to get the job done because they didn't have the proper equipment. The manager was supposed to calle back, after I've left several messages and here we are almost 2 weeks later and not one call back. I'm very disappointed in this company. I thought they were different from the rest... apparently not!

WARNING: do not use this company for emergency services, they do not honor what their website says. They say same day and 24/7 emergency service and I just got told to pound sand. I even spend 20 dollars a month for there yearly program for when these things happen. I bought into the program after buying a new AC from them in 2020 and 2 years later the AC doesn't work anymore and I haven't even been near the thing except to change filters. Now it's May 11th and its 85 degrees outside and 80 inside but the company couldn't care. As soon as they fix it or swap it out I'm done with them. 400 dollars for the program and 7k for a new A/C down the drain.

The salesman Troy told us a few different things that were actually done. We paid a premium price but I did not feel we received premium value. Troy told us some ducting would be changed that did not happen and that we could put a new controller on our other unit which was not the case. Another new controller was put on our 3rd hvac which did not work correctly from the beginning. Jeremy and his assistant installed our new hvac and was very friendly and professional.

The Latest update! 1/3/2022 I contacted Performance Air Conditioning, Electrical & Plumbing Saturday morning using the preferred customer number- I pay for their service contract. I spoke with Laurie, who after hearing my softener was not working for the 3rd time in 3 weeks told me that someone would be at my house first thing Monday morning. I did not hear from anyone until 10 am when I was informed that no one was available to service my machine. They said they would see what they could do, and told me they would call me back in 10 minutes. It is 5:44 pm and no one has bothered to contact me. Customer service with this company is a joke. My water softener doesn’t work. I have spent thousands of dollars and could not be more unhappy with the whole experience. Update- they called me just now telling me that I didn’t answer my phone when they called to tell me they were coming out today so they took me off the schedule. I have no missed calls from anyone. Don’t use this company, they are terrible, but I’m stuck with them until they resolve the water softener issue. Update to my previous review: I have had nothing but problems with the soft water system they installed 2 weeks ago. It is Christmas Day, I have company, I had signed up for the premium service plan and no one is responding to my pleas for help. My softener is not working for the second time in 2 weeks since it was installed. It’s not working yet again: The water is so salty, it’s disgusting. I have no water to cook with and I shudder thinking how nasty it will be to shower in salt. I spent thousands of dollars to try and get the job done right and I could not be more dissatisfied and disappointed in the product and service. Do. It use this company. As soon as I can get out of my contract with them, which has done me NO GOOD, I will. Austin and his team did an amazing job installing my water heater and softener. Professional from the start, great communication. I couldn’t be happier. Thank you!
