No heat on a Sunday I called 10 people who didn’t call back before I called them. they answered called me back and was here within the hour. very nice guys explained what was happening and now we have heat

Avoid New Bedford Gas Service Co. like the plague. New house, couldn't get the heater to switch on. $258 for their tech to flip a switch! Our cameras show he was in-and-out in 10min 32sec... MOST of which time was spent talking to my 9-month pregnant wife about his birthday tomorrow. Even asked on the phone prior to scheduling the visit if there was a switch I needed to flip or a valve I needed to open, as we hadn't had gas heat before. Will never use them again.
The service is top notch!!! It's the start of a "blizzard" and the owner himself just came and fixed our heat at 12am at night. I can't say enough good things about this company.
SHAMEFUL; Wish I could rate a 0 rating. Quit the job at my house after they ruined my heating system and would not fix the problem when the temp was plummeting! Had to have 4 Service Calls and then wouldn't continue fixing the problem. BEWARE; they seem very professional but absolutely are not. TOTALLY left me in the lurch!
I have a old gas powered Empire space heater that needed to be serviced and cleaned. The first heating company came over and took one look at it and didn’t want to service it stating it was too old. I contacted New Bedford Gas Service and they promptly came over, replaced broken part and cleaned, checked and adjusted it. Thank you Steve and technician DJ! Highly recommend them.
Words can not express the gratitude I have for New Bedford Gas and Electric. Great service and extremely professional. They have serviced my families home for years and without issues. I spoke with Steve whom was on call and instead of coming out to my home, Steve was generous enough to share his wealth of knowledge of my problem and fixed my issue over the phone. No charge, no extreme work. I greatly appreciate it and will recommend them to everyone that needs assistance.

I would HIGHLY recommend this company. Very Friendly, Honest, and Professional !! I had a no heat issue on my second floor . A Friendly Professional Technician came out found the problem and replaced a faulty zone valve. I have the maintenance plan so it was covered under the plan agreement. I cant say enough about the peace of mind knowing I can count on them to get the job done fast and done right. Thank You for your GREAT service !!!
I have had the service plan with New Bedford Gas for about 3 years now and for the peace of mind and level of reliability, it has paid for itself. Had a recent gas leak and spoke with Steve, the owner, who was quick to respond and fix the issue. Highly recommend getting the service plan!! Thanks Steve!!
I would highly recommend this company. I had a problem with my storage tank and they called the manufacturer and fixed the problem Their employees go above and beyond I have used them in the past and recommend them to all my friends and family
These guys are hands down the best! I called them and they had Dennis come out to disconnect my gas stove asap. I will be easily signing a service contract with them once my new gas furnaces are installed. Easy 5/5.
This is a team of experienced, knowledgeable, detail oriented, on time and professionals. I have used their services a couple times and was extremely pleased of the service rendered.
I would like to say how indebted I am to the caring and excellent service of the New Bedford Gas Service Co. When we called the other night for service it was about 10:30 at night. Someone answered the phone (a real person!) and took our information and said a service person would be calling me back within 15 min., which they did. It was an emergency call that we placed concerning an elderly couple with no heat who recently had suffered a devastating experience in their lives several days earlier. The gentleman has COPD and emphysema and needs oxygen every night. The owner of New Bedford Gas serviced the furnace himself and it was up and running in a matter of 2 hours. He couldn't have been nicer to the couple and they and I am extremely grateful to him and his company. I couldn't recommend them higher.
I can’t say enough good things about this company. I have been with Steve and this company for many years. Anytime I have a problem with my gas heater they are right there to help. The techs are friendly, Courteous and very professional. If you don’t have a contract with New Bedford Gas service company do yourself a favor and get one. It’s the best gift you can give yourself. Steve and the guys working for him are outstanding.
Lost heat at my house and called this company for the first time. What awesome service. Spoke with a lady, gave may information and within 5 minutes, Steve got back to me. Told me the price ( reasonable) and that he would get someone soon to my house. Within 15 minutes, the repairman ( Dennis) was at my house and soon my heat was fixed. Service was quick (sometimes it is and sometimes the wait may be longer), even though I was prepared to wait. Have my heat on. Thank you and definitely will call when I have a problem again.
My heat went out and they were my 1st call. As a new homeowner, I was nervous I would be taken for a ride. They called back within 10 minutes at 6:30 am. Arranged a time and they were to call me when they were on their way. But I lost my phone🤦🏽♀️. When I found it there were 3 voicemails from this company. They came a hour later, fixed my heat (replaced circuit board) and explained everything. Very reasonable and transparent. I highly recommend them
