An absolutely excellent first experience with Mullen today. We had an AC emergency in some brutal heat and a vacation scheduled in 2 days. Spoke with John who was super responsive, kind, and understanding. We were so grateful to be able to get same day service. Techs were PHENOMENAL. So kind and helpful and fixed the problem in no time. We are so appreciative of Mullen for exceptional service!!
I live in a small raised ranch. They told me they couldn't repair my capacitor on my 3 ton AC unit and I would need to get a new one. They quoted me 18 thousand dollars to replace the unit. That's $18k for a cheap ac replacement and install. I talked to my HVAC friends and they said it's the worst quote they've ever seen. Do not even waste your time with these guys Edit: They did give me a 2nd quote that was 3k cheaper, so 15k. I had another HVAC repair guy come out the same day and he came to the same conclusion Mullen did that the compressor was shot. He hasn't given me an official quote but said it would be in the 7k to 9k range, so roughly half the price of Mullen. I hate to bash a business in my hometown but I really felt like they were trying to take advantage of us. Just getting a quote that big was stressful and defeating, because we assumed the cost would be in that range. Make sure you get multiple quotes and you're only paying for what you need/want. I will say the Mullen techs that came to the house were nice.
Service with a smile. Our furnace decided this was its last year providing us with warmth! We made a big decision and called the best person we knew! Mullen Mechanical Heating and Cooling. They were professional and got the job done fast! Like I said, Service with a smile! Because of them we will survive many Connecticut Winters to come! I shop based on a few things and professionalism and trust are #number one. Thank You John

John installed a new 2 zone central air conditioning and forced hot air heating system in my home. I've been very pleased with his work and I definitely recommend him for any HVAC work. He always showed up on time, he always responded to my phone calls or texts and the final product is exactly what I wanted. He's honest with you, he won't promise what he can't deliver and he will keep his promises. He's also affordable, comparing with the others. So I highly recommend Mullen Mechanical. One final thing, he loves dogs. That's a big plus in my book.
