AHS referred our claim to Muehlbauer and I was worried when I read the reviews but Dan called to schedule service and arrived promptly when he said he would. He was very professional and friendly and resolved the issue within minutes. I would be very confident in recommending this company to a friend!
Company was contacted late in the evening to fix a central AC unit. The tech was out at the house early the next morning, had the part with him, and had the unit fixed immediately. I was not at the property so the technician called me to let me know when he was starting and called again to let me know he was finished and unit was working. AC has worked perfectly since then. Technician was very polite and professional on the phone. I'm sorry I don't remember his name to give hm credit but I would absolutely call this company again.
Like many others, this vendor refused to answer the phone, return multiple voice mails, or in any way respond to me. I was using a home warranty and this was my assigned vendor. After a week no responses I took the cash out option from the warranty and cancelled this vendor.
I read the reviews and was very concerned about using this company thru our home warranty and tried to get another contractor-however, when i called on a Sunday, Dan called me right back and was out within an hour. Unfortunately, he didn't have the part I needed. It was 20 degrees outside and about 50 degrees inside. He picked up the part first thing Monday and came and installed it right away. Any hesitation I had from the reviews was unfounded. Couldn't have been nicer or more attentive to our problem!
Man was very courteous got here on timeTook apart my furnace even cleaned it found the problem and it was working in about 10MinutesWould definitely use him again and recommend him to my friends
BEWARE! I was assigned Muehlbauer HVAC from my American Home Shield policy when we got back from vacation a couple of weeks ago and our AC had gone out. I quickly did a google search and found the awful reviews and thought I'd give him the benefit of the doubt and wait until he came to the house to see what happened. He arrived the day (Monday) after submitting our claim with the home warranty and was at the house for maybe 30 minutes and diagnosed the problem as the blower motor in my air handler. Said he'd call me once the warranty company gave him the go ahead or denied the claim and go from there. The next evening my blower motor came back on and would cycle cool air throughout the house, but it wouldn't stop, even if the thermostat temp had been reached. Tried calling numerous times to tell him that the blower motor was not the only problem but couldn't ever get in touch with him. Friday rolled around and stilled hadn't heard from him so I took it upon myself to get a second opinion. Turns out pretty much the entire system was at the end of it's life and had mismatched parts between the heat pump and air handler, so we decided to go ahead and replace the whole system, with a contractor we trusted at that. Now we're screwed by the home warranty because they are only giving us funds to cover the blower motor based on his incorrect diagnosis, and we're on the hook for the rest of the cost. DO NOT WORK WITH THIS CONTRACTOR! Wish I could give zero stars!
The contractor was kind and professional and resolved the problem quickly. I would recommend him and his HVAC services.
he came out once, got paid for visit from warranty company, ordered parts and never answered his calls. Parts were returned cause he never got them. AHS warranty even called him several times and I called him no fewer than 20 times. Left numerous messages. He never returns calls as without A/C for 2 months. Worst business ever. Do not call this company. I hope his business fails. What a waste. Beware of this company.
Our home warranty had us call the company for service... we couldn’t even get them to call us back... I wouldn’t ever advise anyone to call this place... I’m not sure how they are still in Business
Our air went out on Wednesday,so muehlbauer heating and air was suppose to come out. Everyday this guy has said he'd be out the next. We have waited all day!! Finally got ahold of him and told him we have young children and my father who has just came home from the hospital,and he needed to get out here and fix it like he said he would. That upset him and is now refusing to come fix it! So now who knows when we will have our air fixed!....Long story short,I would think twice before using Muehlbauer Heating and air! I would have gave him 0 stars,if that were possible.
I had this company as part of my Home Shield plan. He was able to fix my heating and air unit when other companies had tried and failed. I highly recommend this company for heating and air conditioning problems.
We have Home Shield Warranty, as well. Muehlbauer was assigned to us. We have had pretty much the exact same issue from other bad reviews; perhaps a bit worse even. When he arrived, he barely greeted me and barely spoke the entire time; seemed very unconcerned about making real progress. He opened up the heater, said two parts were bad and they were either rare or expensive and he would have to go back to Home Shield for next steps. It was working decently at this point; but struggling. Now it has gone out completely. Getting hold of Muehlbauer is also a monumental task as a consumer; but they seem to answer quick when Home Warranty calls. I call Home Shield to discover he closed the work order as completed and never went through any follow-up. Home Shield has transferred my work order to another Company. I advised they review this Company's Review and reconsider their partnership.
I am an American Home Sheild customer and I had to use this company. So of course I looked him up. And these reviews freaked me out so bad I thought I'd have tons of problems! Instead, they were quick, and effective. I was so scared over nothing. I'm glad to have used Muehlbauer and will do as long as I'm am living here in Evansville.
Wonderful experience, considering the present state! Air conditioning unit went out late last night, and believe me in Southern Indiana, it's nothing short of the seventh circle of hell---in the summer without air conditioning. Called my home owner warranty company (AHS) first thing this morning, and by noon today, our air conditioning unit was repaired by Muehlbauer H&C. Pretty sure he worked through his lunch too, leaving to get the motor, and installing it. VERY much appreciated! Highly recommend.
Reading other reviews, my experience isn't out of place from the others. I have a home warranty and I'm also stuck with this company after paying $75 to have him come look at my equipment (A/C fan had broken a mount and was vibrating and excessively loud). He said it was repaired and after it kicked on later that day, it was clear the problem had not been fixed. I tried to call numerous times and left messages to return my call and he never contacted me. The warranty company took 2 days to finally contact him where he came out again and said he would have to call something in and get back with me. I've now called him twice and he will not answer. This sort of customer service absolutely has no place being contracted with a warranty company.
Terrible company all the way around, from service to ownership. The owner is the rudest person I have ever dealt with. CONSUMER BEWARE!!!
Terrible service! I found holes in my ductwork so i submitted a home warranty claim to fix the issue. AHS Home Warranty picked this guy to do a inspection. He went into my crawl space for 5 min came back up and said no problems. There is no way he went through my entire crawl space to do a proper inspection in that amount of time. I said what about the holes in the ductwork , he then stated there was no holes and that air was not coming out of my vents because i had to many vents open at one time. I have pictures of three holes i can stick my hand through, this guy is lazy and obviously did not want to do the work. Now i have to have have another inspection done by a different business. If your home warranty chooses this guy to do your repair immediately call and have them pick a different contractor.
Did not fix issue and said there was no issue. Then said didn't need to have all vents blowing full and that was the problem, $75 for him to adjust the floor vents.
Same story as the others, had to use this company because of home warranty company. Took us calling multiple times to get the guy to come out. He said we were low on coolant and charged it. Within 12 hours back to no a/c. Been calling since yesterday and still haven't answered the phone. Going on our 8th day
I didn't like anything about this place. I did a home warranty claim. First he called bout 9am 1hr after they opened stating we where on the list and would call when he was on the way no eta. Called several times throughout the day both office and cell no answer straight to voice mail. Finally shows up at 4pm works for 30 min checks out the heater says the charge was low and left. Did even wait and see if that was the problem. About 40 min later still no heat tried calling again no answer shocker cause they are closed now. left 3 voice mails got one return call the next day asking how it was... obviously didn't even check his voice mail.. called 7 times today to finally get a answer that I'm on the list again and I had to wait.... worthless efforts stay away from this place
