Our AC stopped working and it was over 85 degrees in our house. I called Swan as they installed our AC 4 years ago. I was told they couldn’t come out for a week and that my warranty was void due to not having it serviced yearly. I called Mountain Air and Mary was exceptionally kind and professional. She scheduled me for a next day appointment. Steve arrived on time and replaced the capacitor, and explained every issue as he worked. He was extremely knowledgeable, kind and professional. He went the extra step to confirm that I indeed do have a warranty for the AC and parts, which was a huge relief after what I was told by the Swan team. We will be using only Steve and his team at Mountain Air for all of our future HVAC needs!! Thank you so much Steve and Mary, you truly are the best in town!
Steve Young, owner of Mountain Air Mechanical Contractors, consistently provides an outstanding level of customer service, technical expertise, and design knowledge, along with delivering a “master craftsman’s” quality of work. Our furnace and ac units are under Steve’s preventive maintenance program, providing peace of mind and efficiency year round. We feel fortunate to have found Steve, and including him in our home maintenance program has been invaluable!

My family was in dire need of an AC unit to replace our evaporator cooler which we have been putting off for some time as we live in an old house in downtown. Our project was not one for a person who is used to cookie cutter houses that are easy rip and replace. Our project required a true professional craftsman. A craftsman, who is reliable, respectful, listens to concerns, is reasonably priced, and knows his trade inside and out. We found that true craftsman, allow me to introduce Mr. Steve Young. This review is long overdue!! Steve at Mountain Air Mechanical was responsive and knowledgeable when he came by to service our HVAC this winter. He came highly recommended by a dear friend of ours and did not disappoint. Steve took the time to diagnose, service, and teach us how to maintain our HVAC as new homeowners. He also provides an affordable maintenance program where he'll come by each season to service your AC/HVAC so your home operates optimally. Mountain Air Mechanical is a great local company that I really trust. The owner/operator Steve is very knowledgeable and willing to walk you through what he’s doing and explain everything. He worked hard at keeping my costs down and was very quick to respond when our A/C went down. Highly recommended!

Steve replaced my entire A/C unit when it finally quit working, and also our furnace. He did a great job, and is very easy to work with. He saved us several thousand dollars, as his price to replace these major mechanical items was just a fraction of the previous estimate I had received from one of the larger companies. I would very much recommend giving MAM a try, you'll get a great job done, at a very fair price. He's now my go-to guy for all my HVAC needs.

On the high recommendation of one of our friends, I called Monday to schedule an appointment for repair work for our A/C. Amazingly during this busy heat wave time I was scheduled for Wednesday! Steve called to let me know he was about 10 minutes out, arrived on time, and got right down to making the repair. He was very knowledgeable on how to fix the problem on this older A/C unit. Once the repair was complete, he checked to make sure the vacuum held, charged the system with the refrigerant, and while waiting, he noticed a potential problem with the wiring and fixed that as well! The invoice that Mountain Air Mechanical Contractors sends is very detailed which I appreciate. For the time and work involved and cost of the older refrigerant, the cost was an exceptional value. *Side note: during Steve and my side conversation about hobbies, if you are interested, ask Steve to show you some pictures of his amazing TIG Art!
