Mike is a a professional and a skilled craftsman that operates professionally and ethically. What I mean is that he goes over some common trouble shooting to see if the customer can eliminate the need of racking up an unnecessary expense. I did require a visit but Mike got to the bottom of it quickly and effectively. I can confidently recommend Mike Cross Heating & Cooling to anyone asking. I will be using this company for my regular HVAC serving from here on out.
Mike is efficient, kind, honest and I always enjoy his company. I have worked with him for 3+ years. He has repaired my old systems and installed - maintained a new A/C unit, new furnace, and new hot water heater at my home. Upon a rare factory defect of A/C unit, he went WAY above and beyond to make sure our home stayed cool during the hottest summer months until the issue was resolved with the manufacturer. Had concerns about cooling system and whether it was up to par. Called Mike and he was here the next day. Mike did a diagnostic and asked a lot of questions to get to the root cause. Turns out I may have a sticking valve (single unit, dual zones) but everything else was good. Mike said turning the system off and on resolves the issue until the valve quits. Cooling system is operational and Mike requested that I call him before resetting the system if it happens again to ensure that's the issue. That's what you want from a skilled tech, no upsell, just diagnose the problem and correct it. I'll be using Mike's services going forward.
