This is my Second time using Merritt and he does not disappoint. I accidentally cut my Thermostat wires with my lawn mower and Gary came and fixed it next day for cheap!!! But even moreover, Gary walked me through how to temporarily patch the wires together so that we could have A/C over night. You wont go wrong, Call Merritt!
The best AC company in the area. They serviced and ended up replacing our upstairs unit and he did such an awesome job we called him back when our downstairs needed replaced as well. Fast work and fair prices. Job well done! I highly recommend!

I would highly recommend Merritt Heating and Air. Gary came out and tried for several hours to get our air to work before giving us a very fair estimate on a new unit. When he installed the new unit he was prompt and professional and personable. I highly recommend Merritt Heating and Air to anyone.
After my AC quit working the other day, a friend from work recommended that I give Gary a call. I am so glad I did. Within less than 2 hours from that initial call I had cold air blowing from my vents again . Gary is very professional, and personable. I would definitely encourage using Merritt Heating and Air.
Called this place to get an estimate on fixing our AC. It had been down for the better part of a week and I have two kids and an elderly person living with us. We knew what needed to be fixed and bought the parts because my father in law used to be in the HVAC business but is now in too bad of health to do it. When I called they said they could come take a look next week. Then I explained that we had the parts we just needed someone to do the work. The guy on the phone said very matter of factly that he wouldn't waste his time because he makes his money on the parts. Wow! What a horrible attitude. Especially since you know a house full of people (including two children and a senior in bad health) are suffering in the heat. I would not waste my time on this place.
Very professional, got the job done quickly and efficiently. Will use again in the future.
Several yrs ago a local HVAC company told me that my system was dead and needed to be replaced. This was after they charged me for several service calls and replacement parts. They recommended replacing the unit and sent out a salesman. The estimate was very high so I thought a 2nd opinion was wise. I contacted Gary Merritt and he came out that night. He fixed the problem for $75 and explained to me why my system was not working. Also, he suggested that I go to the company that I had previously used and request a refund due to incorrect part installation and poor workmanship. I did get a refund. Today Merritt installed a new system for me because I need the HVAC in a new location. Most reasonable price, very dependable, great work ethic. I recommend to all my neighbors and friend.
Great service!!! Our hvac unit at our rental property had an issue I called first thing in the morning and they had it fixed within hours of me calling. Great service and prices. I have used their service in the past as well when our hvac motor went out in our unit. He fixed it and even looked hard to find the replacement part that was less expensive than it could have been for the “name brand” . I cant recommend enough.

I needed a new Heating and Air system. After having 2 estimates done, I was going to hold off for awhile because of the costs, but my neighbor recommended I call Merritt Heating & Air. Im so thankful I did!! Gary, from Merritt Heating & Air, came out the same day I called for my third free estimate, within 2 hours, actually. After looking at what I needed to do to replace it, Gary gave me a detailed price sheet (invoice) for the new unit and all the parts that would go with the installation, including his labor costs. He printed it all straight out of his work van in nice detailed form, with nothing hidden. He was a very kind, straight up guy, who did great honest work. He was very efficient, and gracious to my kids while they watched him work. I was able to get what I needed at a VERY fair price to us and him. We will be using Merritt for all my HVAC needs. We made an appointment with Gary, but when he was in our area the day before the appointment, he called, then came that day. He looked for the problem, found it, fixed it, and explained everything. He knows his work, he is straightforward, and very reasonable in price. He is businesslike and personable, friendly. We'll work with him in the future, and highly recommend him.
Gary came out and got our heat working on a nasty rainy day. Price was very fair and he got it sorted out in good time. Would recommend.
Gary was a true life saver! We were about to freeze to death during the unseasonable November snow this month. He came out to my house during after hours (one evening, pretty late, for an initial inspection and another follow-up/repair visit while I was out of town on a Sunday). His pricing was more than fair, and he was so professional. I will absolutely use him again, if needed, and highly recommend him to friends, families, complete strangers.
Gary was professional, courteous, and overall just fantastic. Can't say enough nice things about him. He took care of our problem was VERY reasonable and came out quick. I had a new Goodman heat and air unit installed and am very pleased with the unit. I changed from heat pump to gas heat and was impressed with the professional craftsmanship of the installation. If you are looking for someone to repair the unit you have or have a new heat and air unit installed I recommend "Merritt Heating and Air" of Maryville TN.
I'm in day one post new system installation. If the ongoing operation of the system is as smooth as the purchase and install I will be very satisfied for years to come. Gary was a pleasure to work with and I believe him to be the kind of person who really delivers on what "good service" used to mean before folks started taking shortcuts to make an extra buck. He shoots straight and does really solid work in my opinion.
