An hour and a half after my call, my A/C was repaired and working. I highly recommend Mechanical Innovation. I will call them when my very old system finally dies and must be replaced.
I asked Bob to show up pretty early on a Saturday, because our AC was out and it was going to be hot! I have an older system and was afraid to hear the cost but it was very fair. Now my house is nice and cold. Bob was very professional and seemed to know exactly what to do and offered great advice about my system. I have rarely written reviews but it can be hard to find good work so I wanted to share. This will be the number I call the next time I have a heat/air issue for sure. Update 7/30/21 Bob just left my house after fixing my AC again. It's been running great but I think it's been a while since I had him do maintenance. My system is pretty old but he said there is plenty of life in it. He came out with very short notice on a Friday and fixed me right up. It was just a fuse so he didn't charge much and now I'm happy and cold again. Great service as always!

When I decided to have an air conditioning system installed in a garage condo I had purchased, I researched local contractors in the usual places (Angie’s List, Google, and BBB) and narrowed it down to three. I had each one come out, explained my needs and asked for a bid. The first two were competent and straight forward with their recommendations. The third was Bob with Mechanical Innovations. Bob took the time to really look at what I was doing and came back with a number of creative options that his competition failed to provide. On top of that, Bob gave me a bid with three options, all very competitively priced. I went with Mechanical Innovations and have no regrets. Bob’s crew was fast and the equipment he represents is world class. These systems can be complex and have many moving parts so Bob offers a one year warranty on his installation. He has been right there when I have had an issue or question. I highly recommend Mechanical Innovations!
Bob did a complete heat pump install for us in the middle of the summer, he brought a team with him they finished in half a day and cleaned up after they were done. It has worked perfectly, and he warranties his work. Bob is always pleasant to converse with, he doesn’t try to up sell you or sell you a complete system when you don’t need one. He is reasonable on his repair fees and his full install. He will repair it and until it just can’t be repaired. He is honest and has integrity and in 2018, that’s hard to come by. Most recently we had a home warranty company do a full install on a downstairs heat pump and they were negligent in doing it correctly and coming back to fix it. I called Bob and he troubleshooted someone else’s mess (and trust me it was a mess) and he absolutely didn’t have to do that. He did it with kindness and a smile. If you want an honorable heat and air guy, he’s it. I WISH HE DID EVERY TRADE!
Fantastic company! One of our AC units went on the fritz. Turns out the coils were frozen over(change your filters!) and a little low on refrigerant. About a hours time and we were cool again. Four days later my second unit stopped blowing. Called MI. They got us up and running again with a capacitor, gave us an opinion on additional work and allowed us to make a no pressure. Will use them again for sure!
AC went out while I was out of town and family had to deal with heat for almost 2 days waiting to hear from another AC repair company. We called Mechanical Innovation and Bob came next day, working late to help us out. Super friendly and quickly fixed the issue and went ahead and cleaned our units when not required. Highly recommend, will definitely use again if needed.
Very satisfied with this company! Our AC unit was not working and they figured out that the last company who worked on it put a wrong part on it. They were very prompt and worked quickly to get our AC unit working the next day.

I count on Bob and his outstanding crew whenever we have issues pertaining to the repair and maintenance of our mechanical equipment. We are a 24 hour business and our guests demand immediate attention when they are effected by heating or air conditioning issues. Mechanical Innovation installed my system at my business and it is working great! It's appropriate that the word "innovation" is in Bob's business name. They provide very cost effective alternatives to the conventional Heating and Air solution. If you are looking for a cost-effective, reliable solution for your HVAC needs don't go without calling Mechanical Innovation.
I hired Mechanical Innovation to install an air conditioning unit and furnace. Bob and his crew showed up on time, worked hard and finished the job ahead of schedule. Besides being very kind, he does good work. I consider him a trusted contractor (not an easy feat for me). I will being calling Mechanical Innovation for all of my HVAC needs.
One of the things that you can count on with doing business with Bob and his team is that he's thorough and honest. They are diligent and provide good quality work and set reasonable expectations upfront when starting on a job. I would go back to Bob every time I need work to be done. It's exceptionally valuable and worthwhile to have someone that you can count on to do a good job.

Pretty happy with Mechanical Innovation! They provided me with the best heating repair service ever. My AC suddenly stopped working one day so I knew I had to call someone to fix it. Mechanical Innovation was there for me and did great. Their heating repair service is really quick and professional. I definitely recommend them.
