My name is Bruce Lyons President of Lyons HVAC I have been In Business since 1988, We have an A+ Record with B.B.B. Just clarifying a Review from Glenis Henriquez stating she was unhappy with service which was not performed by my company. For those reading these reviews, My Company never did any work for this person, she has me mistaken for another company, with the same name as my company, that services the Five Boroughs. My Company does not service PTAC units. Thank you
If you have a tolerance for empty promises and missed appointments, this company is for you. Never finished my install. Can't get a hold of the owner. Stay away!
This company charged $250 to visit my rental and give me a "diagnostic" of the 2 ptac units. They charged the money and went to the unit. I never heard from them again! One week later, my tenant asked if I heard back from the company. Since I had not heard back I simply presumed they had repaired the unit. I immediately called the company and an answering service too my detailed message. 4 days later I received a call with the "diagnosis" They recommended that I purchase a new unit for $2500. I explained that I recently lost my husband and could not afford $2500 at this time. The guy tells me he could repair the compressor for $1100. He assured me he would go the next day to pick up the unit and repair the compressor. Five days later I called the company to ask why they did not show up to pick up the unit. According to the person from lyon, they had no notes on the system. They did not know that the company had spoken to me about the repair. After that conversation I never heard from Lyon again. Just as well. I found HiTech. They charged $125 to come and see the problem. And I ordered a new ac because they were 600 dollars cheaper that Lyon! Stay away from this company. They only want to sell new air conditioners. They also charge twice the amount of every company for their "service visit". By the way, I also reported them to the person that recommended them to me.
Bruce Lyons installed a split air conditioning system for me at my home. From start to finish the process was a very professional experience with his company. His techs were on time cleaned up after themselves and returned to make an adjustment that I requested for no additional charge. I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for there services. David Yarm
LYONS replaced my HVAC system and ducts. The owner Bruce patiently listened to what I needed to help me decide on the right unit and gave me a very fair price. Kevin and Jose were extremely knowledgeable, neat and courteous. They are detail oriented perfectionists and even added an extra vent in my living room for my comfort. Thank you Lyons heating & air conditioning ! Just a quick tks for your great work u did separating my old heating unit into two new units for my two family house ! Felt the price was fair and the quality of work was very professional ! Also still enjoying my central air unit that you put in 19 years ago still works perfect always good to know a company stays in business and backs up their work ! I guess the quality of your work is why you guys are still in business thanks again James Ward .
i call lyons heating company to give me a price on a new boiler they gave a fair price they did a great job fast and neat there where no hidded charges it was nice to do business with such a professional company for a change
Bruce Lyons came to our house 3 months ago, he appeared as a guy who knows what he is talking about and is looking to have returning business by doing a good job. We decided to go with a Fujitsu ductless 3 zone split unit and we wanted to be able to control it from our phones if we are traveling or just before we come home from work. He said that is not a problem and that he has been doing this for decades and that he will make sure we are happy with the air conditioning. He gave us a 2 year warranty on the work and said that Fujitsu comes with 10 year warranty. Out of 3 zones one is not working properly, it is always kept on the quietest setting -it sounds normal for a period of time and than it starts making some weird louder sort of huffing and slightly grinding sound that makes it hard to fall asleep as it's in the bedroom. He sent Mario, the same guy who had installed it in the first place to come and check on it, he came and said that it was all normal and that is how it's supposed to be sounding, all while laughing at me as if I am a dumb person who doesn't know what she is taling about. Neither one of the other units makes that sound, and this one isn't even the strongest one, this one is 12000 BTU and the one in the living area is 15000 BTU. The living room one is quieter and has no drastic sound changes. Also installing 12000 BTU was an absolute overkill for the bedroom, he just installed it to get a couple more thousands of dollars out of us. We called and texted him to no avail for 2 months, left meessages on his company website, no one called us back. Crickets. We paid them thousands of dollars for a one day job, and now who cares if something isn't working. After they installed the 3 zones he said that he will be back to install the wi-fi for them , he never came back to do it. Than he told me that he has a lot of elderly clients that need their ac installed and that he is busy with that ( he made it sound as if he is an angel giving them out for free
Well I really thought Pete was on the up and up but he proved me wrong . Pete suggested getting rid of copper pipe for heating and go above ground with PEX which I see is pennies NEXT TO COPPER. Of course they come in strong and promise you the world but I’ never requested anything special just the proper heat distribution. I say this because my bedroom does not get warm at all and if I bring it up the other part of house is smoldering. Of course I mentioned it and he began to upsrll me with saying I needed to get rid of furnace and so on. He left and my observation is when a professional comes to do a job he should know what he would need to get it back to the way he found it.
Right before I met Bruce from Lyons Air Conditioning and Heating, I was ripped off by someone else who took a deposit for a new boiler and left me hanging for 4 weeks. After that experience, I interviewed 3 other companies, and decided to go with Lyons. Bruce gave me a fair price, and had my new boiler installed and running the next day. Bruce is a man of his word and does quality work. I would recommend him to anyone!
The original guys who installed my system closed down and my system did the very same on hottest day in June. I'd seen the Lyons truck in my neighborhood for years so when my system wouldn't fire I called them. Thankfully they were here the same day & with a 94 year old father living here we were grateful for the fast service. Thanks Lyons!
