The technician was an hour late, spent less than 5 minutes "diagnosing" the problem and gave me 2 options: temporary fix or permanent fix. Since both of the estimates seemed high, I refused the service in order to get a second opinion. The cost of 5 minutes diagnostics: $99. I am partially to blame for not confirming the price of "service" call. Therefore 3 stars. There are other providers who have a more reasonable service charge. The business I ended up using fixed my AC for half the cost of what I was quoted by Local Air. So, shop around. YMMV
Josh literally saved us ! In Austin before the upcoming freeze and our (very old) heating unit stopped working. It's from the 1990s with no guarantee to find relevant parts, but Josh came through within 3 days, found the parts, replaced and tested everything, and now heating is back and we're ready for those freezing nights. Highly recommended !
Highly recommend Local. We had a heating issue and felt like we were in good hands with our technician, Brian. Next day appointment, issue was diagnosed, part ordered and installed quickly! Josh is awesome. Sometimes it is hard to find good, honest companies with professionalism and integrity. We think we found that with Local!

HUGE shout out to Local A/C and technician Brian who stopped by today. Murphy’s law in play, hottest day of the year, heat advisory, company coming over, A/C stopped working. Contacted Local A/C, they had Brian at our door in 2 hours, simple fix, reasonable part and labor charge, A/C back up and running, house cooling within 3 hours of initial call to Local A/C. Brian was awesome, courteous! Well Done! Local A/C definitely on my virtual rolodex. 5 Star Performer!!!
Honest and fair pricing for my furnace that wasn't working due to a loose wire. I called early in the morning and was seen before 5, on the first day of the weeklong freeze. When my house was under warranty I did not get this level of service from another company, so I am very happy.
Josh was honest when going over our Old HVac system. He said it's an R22 system and it is hard to find replacement parts. Recommended a new Bryant system with R410 as it's better for the Ozone. It will also save us money on our utilities as it won't work as hard to cool our home. His installation crew was great also. They took time to explain differences in the new unit, we also received a new thermistat, which is easy to operated. Overall we were pleased with everything Josh and his team did for us. Local Air is a 5 star company that deserves the highest rating. If you have any problem with your heating and air needs call Local Air Conditioning and Heating in the Leander area.

Josh was super helpful and informative when diagnosing our HVAC issue and in recommending all options from lower budget repair to full replacement. Hes a 3ed generation HVACer so that helps for sure. Scheduling was also very quick! I star ding because installation wasn't as behind the scenes as many vendors I've used. With all going on and forced work from home the music playing on the phone speaker and yelling to each other over our 2.5 floors made my mtgs a little challenging due to the excess of random volume shifts. Aside from that not so normal concern I would definitely use him again because Josh's patients and knowledge was oitstanding!
Josh came out to my house quickly and got my heater running in no time. He was very knowledgeable and took the time to explain the problem that I was experiencing to me. I highly recommend this company!
Back in July I had an air conditioning unit leaking water into the flood pan in the attic. He not only fixed the issue by clearing out the pipes in the bathroom downstairs, he also cleared the flood pan, cleaned the filters, and for good measure checked the condenser units outside- all while I was away. He's on the top of my list for future summer air-con maintenance. Thanks, Josh!
Josh has worked on our ac for a couple of years. The thing we like about him is that he is honest, efficient and responsive. We would recommend him to anyone!

Awesome experience with this young company. I had a leak in coil, and Josh dropped by on the same day I gave him a call (Sunday). He didn't try to upsell, and gave me honest and detailed estimates based on different options and my needs. He was not pushy at all, but still very responsive to any questions and concerns. The quote was also competitive. The job was done in the very next day and crews were friendly, courteous and professional. I highly recommend their services.
