On several occasions, their repair team has been professional and courteous. Their dispatch secretary, John's wife, has not. She is impatient and curt on her calls, and I told her so. On the last visit, John, the repairman did his job quickly and professionally, and then asked me to apologize to HER for her lack of professionalism. When I tried to explain the reason for my frustration John interrupted me and told me it did not matter, and then threatened to remove the work he did unless I apologized. I don't know any business in which this is a successful model of operation or treatment of the customer. ***Update*** I called Patricia (John's wife and owner of the business) to explain that my frustration was not personal, and offer my insight as to how I as the customer felt disappointed with her service. This was done in a calm speaking volume, explaining how *I* felt. She began yelling at me, said in 40 years of business she has never had a customer talk to her this way, and that she understood I was a "tenant" (we rent) and that tenants are usually over entitled. (I hadn't realized courtesy and kindness were exclusive to the homeowner package). She continually inrrupted and elevated her volume, and was confrontational and insulting. I'm very disappointed with what had otherwise been a pleasant experience. As to your response John, if you feel confident that insulting customers is the best policy, or if you feel as though I personally insulted you, or personally "attacked your bride" rather than simply noting her lack of decorum, I gladly invite you to review the call and post it. Especially the part about us tenants being so entitled (demanding things like courtesy and professionalism, who do these peasants think they are?!?). John, I lauded your work and professionalism up to that point. I appreciate your speedy service and sacrifice. I still don't need to be insulted, talked down to, and threatened by my AC repairman or his ill-tempered wife. I think thats a

I have used Lane's on several occasions for maintenance, replacement and repair. I was so impressed that when two of my neighbors asked who I used, I gladly sent them Lane's contact info. Most recently, my neighbor sent me this note: "He did a great job replacing the heater and air conditioning system when he said he would and at the price he quoted. And even gave us heat Friday morning so we were not without it at any time. Can't thank you enough"

A couple of weeks ago, John and his technician did a great job repairing out furnace and drain line. He quoted repairs that were more in line of what needed to be done rather than piling on extra repairs that were not needed that other companies tried to get us to do. I highly recommend Lane’s Air Conditioning for your AC needs. When the time came to finally install AC in our house we spent several months checking out AC companies and never finding a good fit – that all changed when we contacted Lane’s. John went above and beyond during the initial visits – everything from diagnosing the AC needs, helping us address some permitting issues he recommended we resolve first (he even waited while we worked on those) and the myriad of questions I had. The install was smooth and quick and very well done – system works beautifully and I feel very comfortable in the quality of the job and the unit. We appreciated his help with the permitting and helping us get our HERS inspection. John was constantly in touch to answer questions and did a great job following up to ensure there were no issues to address after the city inspection. I highly recommend John and his team

Great experience from start to finish. Called in the morning hoping to get an appointment later in the week, and was able to get one the same afternoon. Patricia, the scheduler, called me back ahead of the appointment to let me know John and Giovanny were running a little late but assuredly there'd be no cancellation on their part. When they got here, which was only slightly later than expected but within my original time window, they were very professional and polite, and upfront about the costs of potential solutions. Explained things in lay terms but also got technical when I inquired about specific aspects about my AC unit and usage. Took their time to explore the problem but didn't work too slowly and stayed sensitive to my schedule even though I was the last appointment for the day. The whole process took about two hours, and the final cost was fair. Went from an AC unit only pushing out hot air, to one that was repaired in a few hours thanks to an application of refrigerant and sealant. Will happily work with them again next year and for years to come. Highly recommend this local service provider.

John Lane has been doing work for me for a few years now, at my house as well as a rental property. In more than one occasion, I have talked to and gotten quotes from more than one HVAC guy, and John's advice has always turned out to be spot on, even when the advice wasn't always in his own best interest. I know I can trust John. Whenever we have had somebody else do HVAC work for us, we have been constantly disappointed. Last summer, another company came out and told us that we needed a new AC system. We had John take a look at it, and he said that the system didn't need to be replaced for a few more years, and fixed it for < $1,000. The system worked great the rest of the summer. In at least one occasion, he came to my house to do a minor fix and didn't even charge anything for the service.

AC went out in the middle of the night, called them in the a.m. and they rushed someone out. They said he would be at my house between 9 and 11...he showed up quickly; 9:15...WOW!!! Super NICE, polite young man (Ivan???), that was easy to speak to, and went straight to work. Fixed my unit, made some very helpful suggestions, and didn't cost us too much. Their standard fee is a bit more than others I called, but they are quick, professional, and they don't tell you a low price then charge you add-ons to get the price up once they are in your house. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND! These guys are my annual HVAC maintenance guys as of TODAY!!! Thanks GUYS!!!!
