KoolVent Mechanical LLC installed my HVAC unit in 2017. The technicians did not seem knowledgeable and had to return 3 times to correct continuous running of the AC. My email of complaint to the company at that time, was never responded to. They installed a Goodman furnace 96% energy efficient with a heat pump. In 2023, my furnace stopped working ( on a friday night). I called their emergency number. After speaking with a technician, I opted to call the office on monday due to the cost of an off hour visit. On Monday I called the office. The woman I spoke to advised me that they don't service my area! Evidently, they install in my area, but they don't service in my area!!! She assured me that this WAS the case. So even tho they installed it, they would not come out to service. Out of their service area! Unbelievable! When I questioned her about my ten year warranty on all parts, I was advised that this was a manufacturers warranty and that I needed to go through the manufacturer. Because of all the aggravation and frustration with Koolvent, I called a local HVAC contractor who advised me that there was a bad board on the outside unit. Having been without heat for 4 days, he suggested that the heat pump be completely excluded from the system. He questioned why a heat pump had ever been installed. He re-wired the system so that I now have heat and air without the heat pump. He also questioned why a Goodman furnace was installed.
