Great AC company, very helpful gets the job done. This is my 2nd time using their service and they are outstanding.
Brian installed a complete system at my old house and did an incredible job. True professional. We moved and now use K&B for our new house.
Before selling my last house I had Brian replace the whole hvac system. True professional, showed up on time, cleaned up and the install was perfect. Flash forward to my new house. I moved in to a house that had a maintenance contract with another company. They showed up, tried some sketchy stuff. I called Brian at K&B and didnt tell him at first what the other company said. He only discovered some wiring that wasn’t up to code. He showed me the pictures and then showed me the pics after being fixed. True professional and the best price around.
Our son bought a new town house. We were working on it and had to leave on a Monday. The heat went out Sunday and a cold front was coming. I called at 7:45 Monday morning. Brian was helpful and said he would text at noon when he thought he could come by. He texted at 11:00 and was there by noon. I know some electronics and knew the wiring was odd. Brian asked "do you mind if i do this right". In 30 minutes the wiring was corrected and the blown fuse replaced. To call at 7:45 and have the problem corrected by 1:00pm. Brian was a terrifically nice guy and very efficient. You don't find service like this!!!! It was great.
My wife Kim and I moved to Chesapeake a couple of years ago and our 14 year old HVAC systems are showing their age. The heat pump that services the second floor stopped cooling. We called a large well known HVAC company who quickly pronounced the system dead and said they could replace it in a couple of days for several thousand dollars. I called another local company that spends a lot of money on slick TV ads and they concurred that buying a new system was the only option. Being mechanically inclined myself, I know that any mechanical system can be repaired. I just wanted to find someone to do honest troubleshooting and give me the options. I found K&B through positive reviews online and called them. The whole experience was great. Brian came out and diagnosed the problem as a leaking evaporator coil. Repairs weren't simple, the unit is in an attic. Brian ordered the part and came back and had it working perfectly 2 days later. Brian took the time to explain everything to my wife step by step. The repair bill was a small fraction of what a new system would have cost. Brian also quoted the price of replacing the system which was way less than the other guys. He explained the pros and cons of repair versus replacement. I made an informed decision to go with the repair hoping to get a couple more years of life. Inevitably when the system does need to be replaced, we'll be calling K&B.
