We've had Joel and his crew out here for big and small jobs. Hes always been honest helpful and fair. He is our go to for nearly every job from a bathroom remodel to adding lights or outlets. I can't say enough good things.

I've worked with Joel for about 10 years across multiple properties around the southwest suburbs of Chicago. Many of them have been rentals and Joel has always been great about accommodating his schedule around the tenants. He's always upfront about pricing and provides good insight on all aspects of the job. His quality of work is excellent and prices are very reasonable, especially given the current economic climate we are in. I highly recommend Joel and the team at JRW remodeling for all your house needs.

Highly recommend JRW Remodeling for anyone looking to remodel! Joel and his team recently completed a bathroom remodel for us and did an excellent job on plumbing, electrical, drywall, flooring, painting and all things related to a remodel. Joel and his team are professional, knowledgeable, detail oriented, respectful, easy to work with and have great communication and follow through. Joel and his team are professional, respectful, knowledgeable, and detailed oriented. I had faith in him and his team from the beginning. He has done numerous projects for us, including full kitchen remodel, install new doors and trim, repaired and stained our deck. They are fast and reasonably priced. They are considerate and always leave the house clean and tidy after their work. Couldn't be happier with their superb service!
I HIGHLY recommend JRW Remodeling & Handyman Services! Yesterday was my first time calling them and I'll definitely be a return customer! After the storm in the morning, I had a piece of siding up near the roof that was hanging off the back of the house, that was banging against my office window in the strong winds. Being such a small job, I figured it would take weeks for me to find someone to come out, so I started calling handyman services in the area. The first one I called said they are scheduling 4 weeks out for this type of job. Then I called JRW; and all I can say is WOW! From start to finish, Joel was the BEST! He came over within hours and fixed it quickly, professionally, and at a very reasonable price! And with me not being very handy (OK, I'm not handy at all!), I really appreciated it!!!
Joel has been my handy man for about 10 years, I wouldn’t call anyone else. He’s always been friendly,professional,prompt and honest. Once my water heater went out, there was no fixing it and I was in a bad situation financially, He got me a water heater from his own wallet , got it installed and allowed me to pay him when I could. I could never thank him enough. If you are looking for a handyman look no further! #HandyManForLife :)
Joel is a detail oriented professional with a hard working team that did quality work on our master bathroom, kitchen, patio door, deck, painting (interior and exterior) and siding repair. He is creative, fair and gives good advice. Highly recommend his services for your home projects!
Joel did a wonderful job replacing my kitchen faucet and installing a garbage disposal. We ran into a few hurdles and realized we needed some extra work done. Service was prompt and he took the time to explain what he was doing and why. Customer service was great. You can tell he genuinely cares about his job and his company. 10 out of 10 would recommend. I’ll definitely be calling their company in the future.
My experience with this man was awful. I decided to try the company out due to the great reviews online but my experience was the total opposite. I had a lot to do at the house so I provided a list. Most of my items were not done. I requested for 2 , the guy showed up with 3 men charging me approximately 7.5 Hours each at $75/hr. Most of the items I purchased were not used and the owner turned down my request to go to the store to get the right item. His excuse was I wouldn’t know which one to purchase so he went instead and and did a 20% markup on each item. My house was trashed leaving all removed items all around the house especially the formal dining room. I regretted using this company.
Excellent service. Called JRW to replace a sliding patio door. The job ended up being much more as there was clear and obvious water damage/wood rot when they removed the old door. They handled the whole situation perfectly. It became a much bigger job than anticipated but they were able to complete it, and did so in a timely manner with fair pricing. The new door looks excellent and we never have to worry about water issues again. Along with this Joel and his crew were extremely friendly and their cleanup was above and beyond.
Joel and team installed a backsplash, remodeled my basement, and many more projects. All done excellently!
I called JRW Remodeling today to replace a damaged mail box post. Joel answered the phone, was working in the area and so came over in 10 minutes to look at the job. He gave me a fair price and said he could get it done today. He came back 2 hours later with another worker and they replaced the post! I am very happy with their work and that Joel could do it so quickly. I will definitely call him again.
FANTASTIC!!! I needed a cooktop installed and had a hard time finding someone. Once I called Joel, problem solved. He was very quick in returning calls and texts and was flexible when my delivery date got bumped due to weather. He and Ed were on time, did a great job and SO NICE on top of it! They also hung a somewhat complicated ceiling fan for me while they were here. They even VACUUMED the cabinet after the cooktop installation! Simply can not say enough great things about them and will be calling when I'm ready for the next project.
We have a great team of service professionals for the cars, pets, etc. but we didn't "have a guy" for renovation and odd jobs. We're happy to say that we do now since we found Joel and his team at JRW! I hardly want to share this, as I don't want him to get too busy to work with us, but he deserves the accolades. We first had them come in to help renovate several bedrooms, an office, and do some other odd jobs around the house. Because of the great work and fair prices, Joel was my first - and only - call when a pipe burst in our home a month ago. He gave us immediate advice over the phone and then was at our house within 30-minutes. He came with his team the next few days doing teardown and remediation. He helped us navigate with our insurance company and is now doing a full bathroom remodel and repairing water damage in the family room. Joel and his team are very communicative; they're on time, keep things tidy and are respectful of our home and pets. They provide great design advice and don't push. We are very comfortable having Joel and his team in our home, even when we're not here. JRW Remodeling & Handyman are fantastic and we can't recommend them enough!
I can echo many of the great comments already listed here. Joel did a great job patching some damaged drywall. I was especially pleased with the ease of the planning process. For a smaller job like mine, I was happy that an elaborate estimate process didn’t need to be completed and an extra trip wasn't required. I sent some pictures and he asked the right questions to help get what I needed. A great attitude, being reliable and easy to work with are important to me above and beyond having the job skillfully done. Joel had all of these things and I will definitely plan to use for larger jobs in the future. Thanks!

There are several things you should always look for when you hire a contractor or handyman. They are: 1. Dependability 2. Honesty 3. Skill JRW are all of these things and more. I hired Joel and his team for a complicated build out in my home and was extremely pleased. The project was completed on time, and the attention to detail was over and above the call of duty. When the project was completed the job site was left very clean. I was happy to learn that JRW handles projects of all shapes and sizes, as I will call them for any home or commercial project I have in the future. I strongly endorse JRW, and would encourage hiring them for any commercial or residential project. I look forward to working with them on future business.
Quick, speedy service. Priced right. We needed a small PVC pipe buried just beneath the surface of our basement concrete floor to drain our home AC unit condensation to a nearby drain. Joel and his team were careful to setup plenty of plastic to keep the dust contained and left zero mess. Exactly what we needed. Could not have been better. Thanks Joel!
