Prompt service!
HIRE JIH&A so you DON'T GET RIPPED OFF by the corporate companies in Charleston. If you're considering the likes of Preferred Home Services or LIMRIC or other corporate companies, be ready to pay way more for the same service (These guys are just as good if not better and I have hired the previously mentioned companies for other work). JIH&A's service, transparency and quality only make them more valuable. I can't say enough about this family owned local business. After getting astronomical quotes from the previously mentioned companies, I reached out to JIH&A and spoke with the owner about my needs as well as my experience in the quote process. Darrell, jumped right in and provided value from the get go. I will be hiring them again for my annual maintenance as well as an entire system redesign & install, after our addition / renovation is complete in late 23'. The current completed scope of work on 10/31/22; Michael showed up early to install a new heat pump and verified all the existing equipment was synced and hooked up correctly. He did a fantastic job at and I am an extremely happy customer. JIH&A's prices were much lower and not a single corner cut, I am 1000% satisfied and HIGHLY recommend this company. Being in the home building industry for over 20 years (outside the South Carolina market) I have had a lot of experience with the trades; I wish I had these guys on my team and would have just hired them time and time again. What can I say? When everyone else is giving excuses why they can’t got to you in a timely manner in this oppressive heat, Derrell does everything he can to show up. He has saved us so many times including on the price of a new unit that was required on our condo we were selling. Call them…,they will be there.
Top Notch! I needed a new hvac system and my FORMER hvac co wanted more than double the cost of the same unit. James Island Heating & Air did an awesome job at a fair price. James Island will be the only HVAC contractor I call from now on. Highly recommended!
We’ve had to call James Island Heating and Air a few times (because we have 2 VERY OLD units) and they have been wonderful to work with. They are very prompt, honest, and dependable. When our air went out a few weeks ago, they were here that same day to fix it. We thought for sure we were going to need to replace the entire unit but with their guidance they recommended just replacing the part for now. We have been so happy with their service and professionalism!

I could not be more pleased with the level of professionalism that was present throughout the entire process. From the owner answering the phone and walking me through the process to the extremely knowledgeable technicians. I would recommend to anyone with HVAC issues to give them a call first!
I wanted to thank you all for doing an amazing job on my HVAC in Riverland Terrace. The install crew was great and you were all amazing in responding to the minor issue that we had with flue positioning. Darrel, I really appreciate you coming out and checking out my system after the install. This is a great company to work with. I am very impressed and I will be recommending you all to my friends. I will also be coming back myself when I need additional equipment or service.
Our AC Condenser died last week during the worst time of high temps in Charleston and we needed a solid professional, QUICK!! These guys were fantastic!! The owner came by himself to see what was wrong and knew we needed AC back up quickly. They were booked solid, but found time to get us a technician out that day to make the repairs and to our surprise found a solution that was very affordable. We have their magnet on the fridge now and will never call another service company. Local with over 30 years experience, nice to see compassionate honest people out there still. Thanks JI AC!!
You will never ever find a better person to work on your heating and air. He came through big time on a Sunday when I thought I'd be suffering in the heat for at least another day. Huge fan.
