Very nice, knowledgeable, professional people! Our ancient oil furnace started backfiring and rattling - blew the chimney cap off an old vent and made a huge mess in the basement. We had to shut it down as it kept backfiring. We were referred to Jake's by our fuel supplier for servicing. I did have to leave a message but was called back immediately and the lady who called back gave me an idea of what it could be and what it might cost - I was fairly panicked but she reassured me it was all fixable. They likely would have squeezed us in same day but we had things blocking our oil filter that had to be moved. Three days later, in under 45 min we had a new transformer, oil filter, nozzle, and air filter, an all system check, plus lots of great tips on how to keep our old girl running smooth in the future. Do not slack on furnace maintenance people - they must have a once a year professional service, we failed ours there and paid the price!
Excellent service and a pleasant experience. Dan the service tech squeezed us in the same day we called. Stayed in communication with us via phone to let us know when he was on his way. Showed up to the house and got straight to work on the problem. Put on a new nozzle and made some adjustments to the air intake and fuel ignition system . While we talked he told me that he had been servicing oil furnaces since the 60's. He was an open book when it came to sharing tips and knowledge so that we can avoid similar issues in the future. Jake's furnace repair will be our go-to for future service and repair. Thank you, we appreciate your service.

Emailed Jake's and received a reply the next morning. Tech was able to get to our house that day to service the furnace. Had all parts on hand and knew how to fix each thing that wasn't working properly. The lady I talked to on the phone was very friendly and courteous. Price was a bit high after all said and done but working in the service industry I can understand the prices set. However, no other company could get to us within the week so you gotta pay the price to get service. I Would recommend them to anyone who needs service in a friendly and prompt manner at a fairly reasonable price. Glad we called this company to service our furnace.
My oil furnace would not fire so I called them. Prompt reply and even came out after normal business hours. He quickly found the problem, had the parts on his truck and got it running. Total was $268.00 for service call, new transformer, and adjustments!!! Best guy around.
Very professional and kept me from spending money that wasn't warranted to fix the problem.
