Used them in Feb 2023 for a water heater and expansion tank replacement via home warranty. I had to pay out of pocket to move the expansion tank to be horizontally installed instead of vertical, which was fine and expected (1-2 feet of PVC and a brass fitting...no big deal right?). Made me pay up front with promise to refund any unneeded cost after job done. That 1-2 feet of PVC and a simple brass fitting and about 15-20 minutes of extra labor cost me $670 and they refused to refund me or provide me a detailed invoice explaining the cost and why it was $670 for 1-2 feet of PVC, a basic brass fitting. Reporting them to states attorney and possible law suit in the works.
Karen was terrific in scheduling my services. I won’t type the whole story but I made a mistake when scheduling service through my home warranty and Karen was very understanding and helpful with my mistake. She then scheduled me an appointment right away and even moved it up to an earlier slot the next day. Hyland helped me clear a pretty bad stoppage in my pipes. The tech who showed up (didn’t get his name) was extremely helpful and professional as well. Great experience all around. 5 stars.

I wish I could leave lower than a 1 star. They were dispatched by home warranty company. Plumber assessed 4 issues and said he needed auth to to from warranty. Wen they got auth and called to schedule very different story. First they claimed some of the work was already done and I had signed for it. When I said no not true plumber took list of work and asked me to sign as auth to do when they come back. Finally owner stated they made mistake and work hadn't been done. Then owner claimed plumber told me some items were "home owner maintenance" and not covered. Changing story is key indication of non-reputable business. Also owner claimed water heater under manufacturer warranty and I was told this by plumber but plumber said could be due to several issues including build up on heating element affecting performance and he woudl figure out what he needed to do and address when he returned. Then I had water lead noted in drywall in ceiling form leak. He couldn't find leak and said needed auth to open wall or could try caulking and see if it works. But said when I told him I am away for weeks a time if I am not around much and leak could cause damage best top open wall. Then denied saying that. All this is signs of games and not to be trusted. Stay away. use at your won risk.
We have had major drain issues that two other plumbers were unable to fix/solve. After two months of issues AHS finally sent us Hyland- who diagnosed the problem and fixed it. They went way above and beyond to ensure our kitchen sink drained properly- even coming out late on a Friday night to complete the project. Shout out to Jason at Hyland - thank you !
I had a home warranty that sent me to them for servicing my water heater. As first time home buyers my sister and I had a few questions and concerns. But all the questions that were asked were shut down and degraded almost immediately. We did what they asked, not wanting to cause any issues. They then ordered the water heater for us. About 3 weeks later we were able to schedule the service, but it was pushed back a week to accommodate the time the technician requested to get it done. We’re not picky, waiting an extra week wouldn’t kill us. When they got around to it, the technician was very rude and then left without doing the work. They wouldn’t answer our calls and ended up cancelling our service. Huge waste of time. We did what they asked and tried to be understanding during the process but were only greeted with ill-mannered representatives and technicians.
This company has been great to work with. We have been without a hot water heater for 5 weeks waiting on AHS to approve and find a new hot water heater. Karen was responsive and the only person that communicated with me on the regular to keep me updated on our situation. Then the installers have been nothing but professional and helpful! Great company! American home shield not so much, will be canceling them.
I have a home warranty and was directed to them for service of my ac. They did not answer the phone and when they did answer, said that I called too many times in a row and that they would not service me because my request seemed to urgent. I believe I spoke to someone named Alex. At some point when I was calling they even sent my call straight to voicemail. When I got someone on the line, She was rude and then put me on hold because an other customer was calling. It took over 30 mins for me to get ahold of someone and I politely asked what the process looked like since I had just put the claim in. The entire time they were wildy unprofessional and cannot believe that’s how they talk to potential customers. Luckily an other company quickly answered their phone and was able to service me. On a 96 degree day I was just hoping to talk to someone about timeline and get service in a timely fashion.
The Hyland techs came out through American Home Shield Warranty to replace our water heater. They were professional, friendly, and performed the work with our immediate family needs in mind. These folks are clearly experts in their field. I am grateful to have them on our list of future vendors for anything HVAC or plumbing related. I highly recommend Hyland Services for any of your HVAC and/or plumbing needs.
Jason came out to fix a bathtub issue that was fixed incorrectly by a different plumber as part of our Fidelity home warranty. He was awesome! Honest, straight forward, and committed to fixing the problem correctly even though it required labor intense work. Karen, in the office, went above and beyond to communicate with Fidelity and get some financial issues fixed from the lies told by the prior plumber. 100% would recommend and use again.

Hyland Services was assigned to us by our Fidelity Home Warranty, and we're so glad we have them in our book of contacts now. Jason is incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. With a 40 year old boiler system, he's very skilled and educated us. We've had multiple claims on this beast of an appliance, and he and Karen have helped us along the way. We will continue to use Hyland services after our warranty has run out. Very trustworthy company!
Jason was very understanding of our AC problem and refused to give in to our home warranty to repair our 20 year old AC that had been repaired 3 times previously through our home warranty company. Both Jason and Karen worked tirelessly with our home warranty company to get a new AC ordered. It cost us a lot of time and worry that our AC would go out completely before the problem was properly fixed. Once our home warranty company finally got around to ordering the new equipment and it came in Jason and his helper promptly came and installed the new AC. They were very professional, knowledgeable and thorough. During testing the system after installation a small leak was detected and instead of just patching the leak they took the time to cut out the problem area and fix it correctly with new material. The AC system is working great and I would highly recommend Hyland Services to anyone. I would definitely request them for any future work. A BIG THANK YOU to both Jason and Karen for the time and effort they put in to resolve our problem.
Really unprofessional in the main office, tech was nice but nice doesn’t fix A/C. It’s been weeks with a broken A/C with an infant at home.
Very unprofessional team ! Took 20 days to service water leakage and didn't even fix the problem. Wastage of time and money with this firm....
Actual service was ok. Customer service was horrific. Our plumber was supposed to come out and call us and he apparently tried calling us through the gate directory which we don't have set up because we just moved in. Ok no big deal. Probably should've called the phone number we provided but I can understand the mistake. When I called to get it rescheduled, the woman who answered was so rude and defensive and was accusing me of not being home and not answering my phone. I tried calmly explaining to her that we don't have the gate directory set up yet and she continued to be rude and finally gave me a new date and time they could come out. Not impressed and will definitely not be using this place again.
Our home warranty set us up with them and they came and "diagnosed" the problem then said they would order the part. They called us back later in the day to say they can't fix it. Now our thermostat doesn't work when it did before their visit and our A/C is still broken. Do not use this company.
Karen and the team fought a long hard battle with my home warranty company and won. I definitely would use them again. Techs were nice and knocked out the unique work. Great job and highly recommended!!!!!

Absolutely amazing service and very knowledgable! Jason is beyond the best plumber and HVAC person we've every used. I highly recommend using them and will continue to call this company. Very through and even helped with other house questions that saved us a ton of money now and in the future.
