First let me start with I never do reviews. So this is my first review of any company and I am frustrated to say it is a negative review. Buyer beware of this company. Inspect all work that is completed. After the install I was told that everything was complete and working properly they then had had me sign a form that everything was completed. My statement to them was I wouldn't know if it wasn't and we all chuckled. If I had only knew. Later in the week curiosity got the best of me and I wanted to see my new shinny units so I went into the attic to see. When I got into the attic I noticed that garbage and packaging had been left throughout the attic. So I called the salesman and he apologized and they sent someone out to clean up. Ok not so bad problem fixed right. Nope .... I called and asked about warranty documents and the credit for REMC. First I called for over a month and nobody would ever call back until finally I got the owners number and called and spoke directly with him. He said that the lady who had been processing warranties and credits was retiring and they were behind and promised to get everything taken care of. Ok so again I gave them a chance to perform. Again a month goes buy and no return call. Finally I just wore them out with phone calls until I got someone on the phone and they promised that the credit would be taken care of and the warranty would be applied. On my next REMC bill the credit finally showed up and I called Trane and verified that the warranty had been registered and it was in September 3 full months after the install and right at the time limit to register to get the full warranty advertised. Ok lesson learned their customer service sucks but at least I my units were working as advertised oh wait it hadn't got cold yet. The first day it got cold enough for the emergency heat to kick on we noticed that it was freezing downstairs. We called Davis and they said they would send someone out the next day and look at the unit. When

After getting several quotes we decided to go with Davis for a high end geothermal system to be installed on November 10, 2014. During the quote phase they seemed very professional and were reasonably priced - not the highest, but certainly not the lowest quote. The actual install of our system took almost 3 weeks thought, instead of 2-3 days as promised -unfortunately that's the smallest of issues we've encountered with Joe Davis and the system he sold us. Our initial quote from Davis was for a 4 ton geothermal unit - we have 3 floors and two additions on our home, so the load requirements are approximately 59,000 BTUs, per an analysis provided by another geothermal dealer. After the initial quote though, Joe presented us with a new option for a zoned system, for about $4000 more than the first offer. I agreed this would be the best way to go, given our home. However, Joe left the size of the unit off of his second quote and installed a 3 ton unit instead - which has a maximum capacity of only 32,000 BTUs. A few weeks later, when we figured out that Davis installed a 3 ton unit instead of a 4 ton unit, Joe insisted that we didn't need the bigger unit. The Davis team did not initially do a load analysis and has not provided one since - even though they did come out and take the measurements of our home. Because of the smaller unit, we are having many problems - 1. The home never reaches the temperatures we set on the thermostat - we keep it at 70 degrees; when it's below 40 degrees outside it will not climb above 68, on warm days it doesn't get above 69. Below 68 the emergency heat comes on. Because of this our electric bill has more than doubled. 2. The outer portions of our home (3rd floor, wings on the 2nd floor) are always significantly colder - I work in my office with a floor heater. 3. There is a thick build-up of ice on the pipe that runs into the geothermal unit - leading me to believe that the unit is being strained, shortening its life. Joe Davis h

I cannot express how impressed I was with Davis Heating & Cooling! Unfortunately, I was faced with the daunting financial responsibility of replacing the A/C unit in my home. After receiving a quote from a competitor, I called Davis (on a Sunday). They were willing to come right then to check out my situation. When the Rep arrived, he was intelligent, thorough, and accommodating. He went above and beyond my expectations to make sure I was going to be happy with my decision. He did not try to sell me something I didn’t need…in fact; he went through all the options for me. We decided to go with a high-efficiency model that will save me up to 75% on my monthly electric bill…that is not a typo…75%!! Davis offered me a no-interest financing option which will pay for itself with my savings. When it came to installation, they were willing to work around my schedule. I was genuinely astounded with how well-mannered and knowledgeable the installation guys were. They walked me through every step and even helped me set up the app on my phone that links to the thermostat. Davis was recommended to me by one of their customers, and I have told anyone who will listen about how happy I am with the entire transaction! Overall, my experience with Davis could not have been better!! Thank you Davis Heating & Cooling!

We had Davis Heating & Cooling install a geothermal system in our home in New Albany, Indiana this winter. It is the most comfortable home heating and cooling system we've ever experienced. I did extensive research before choosing Davis Geothermal and I have no regrets. Not only did they do a great job during the install, but afterwards, they also took the time to help walk us through everything we needed to get our local utility rebates and tax rebates. Great system and a great company...highly recommended!

Had another local company (that I wont name here) give me a price of $2800.00 to replace my furnace. According to them it couldn't be repaired. I called Davis Heating & Cooling and they sent their tech Darrell Cole to our home. He was on time and totally professional. Done in about an hour. And charged $144.00 for totally repairing our furnace. If this Google thing allowed 10 stars they'd get them. Way beyond outstanding service and price. We couldn't be any happier. Do yourself a favor and don't bother with calling the others. Call Davis ask for Darrel as your tech, he knows it all, and I'm not joking. He really does!
