I bought my first home and used First American Home Warranty. Our second day owning it, the water heater went out. Expert Mechanical came out, and rather than check anything like the thermostat or heating elements, they insisted on replacing the whole unit and then charged me out of pocket 300 dollars for "up to code" changes. After having another repair man look at it, it seems that they didn't even bring it completely to code, over inflated the prices, and installed a unit not meant for my type of home. (Right now it is broke after 2 years and bring replaced again.) On another occasion, I was assigned Expert Mechanical to fix piping in my home. Instead of fixing it they refused to come out for 3 weeks plus, until I got a hold of a FAH regional manager. They immediately called and came out and talked about how they don't think the warranty will cover the fix,but will get back to me. They kept insinuating I should call another plumber and not go through the warranty company. After several more weeks, the Warranty company had approved and was waiting for Expert to come out and fix the problem, however, they wouldn't answer their calls or mine. It took over half a year to get someone to fix the piping under my house that was leaking waste water. And it was all because Expert Mechanical dragged their feet and refused service, but wouldn't tell the warranty company that. Their excuse for not doing the fix was, "It's close to winter now so we only do HVAC repairs now cause it gives us more money then the home warranty would." It was only close to winter cause they waited a whole whopping 6 months. And now they've rebranded. Not gonna hide poor workmanship.

Air went out and Our home warranty sent out Kaleb with expert mechanical. He was pleasant and thorough. He got our air up and running and made sure everything was good to go before he left. It’s been about a week and our ac is blowing colder than ever. Thanks Kaleb!

Anyone who gives these people more than 1 star there is something wrong with you. They do not call anyone back and never come back. Call someone else trust complete waste of time.

BEWARE! (Expert Mechanical) Had the company dispatched to flooding in our home from home warranty. They may have spent 5 minutes at the house and tightened the bowl on a toilet. I gave them extensive information about a potential obstruction in the drain line and water backing up from the sewer drain NOT THE BOWL. They said if tightening the bowl didn't fix the problem to just call them back. That would "could" have worked, but when our house flooded again (same exact issue I detailed before) I called them back and they refused to come out. Wasted time and secondary damage. They are negligent, as well as First American Home Warranty.

There was some confusion about appointment time and we had to reschedule for the next day but when Rick arrived within the scheduled time he was professional, quick to evaluate and repair problems and repaired them and replaced necessary parts. He was equipped with all parts on hand in his truck. This was our first experience with a service call with First American Home Warranty and we are very pleased.

We moved to Oklahoma in August. In September our AC unit motor went out. We called First American Home warranty and we were assigned to this company. He came out initially and said that he didn’t have the right motor, instead he put in a smaller off brand motor. Problem fixed. He was placing an order for our correct size and brand motor which was supposed to be installed the following week. We had a massive family emergency that happened the day after he initially came. They never came out to replace the motor. It was on our back burner with the family issue, but we did try several times during the winter time to resolve the issue. No return call or update or text. Fast forward to April. AC unit stops pushing cold air through, called the warranty company and explained the initial issue again, and they stated that expert mechanical had completed the order. My warranty company stated that no one else could come service the unit until the right motor was in it. So we reopened the claim, first American got ahold of expert mechanical and they contacted me stating they had an appointment for 4/30 available. I said that worked. They never showed, I called and texted. Called again this morning. Then called the home warranty company, the warranty company stated that expert mechanical came and serviced our unit yesterday. LIE!! No we have to have the issue escalated. Meanwhile it’s 80°+ degrees in our house and I’m a nurse who works nights and has to try to sleep during the day in this heat. We have been trying since Tuesday to resolve this and now we will have to likely wait for another company next week to come fix their scams. This company is such a sham and they are totally scamming everyone. Stay far far away from them!!!

I was sent this company through my home warranty. He went to my home and told us what was wrong was not covered because it was regular “maintenance”. Then said he could do it for $850. Never listened or addressed the noise it was making. I called three other well known top rated companies and they all said he lied. That what he called maintenance would never be covered under any tune up. It was a big job that involves taking apart the entire unit and recovering the Freon. So fast forward three weeks. My AC has completely quit. Its 90 inside my home. My warranty company referred me to this company again, minus the usual fees because I proved he should have fixed it the first time. So I spend all day calling and get nothing but an answering service. It’s now 8 pm. Still no AC. I have small children and my 80 year old father in the home. Never heard from this guy. I’ve had to call the warranty company back and find a different company. And even the warranty company couldn’t reach this guy and he wouldn’t even call them back. Do not use this company!

A regular old con artist trying to act like he's a business. Unfortunately I wasn't home whenever they showed up to take care of our air conditioner and he tried to scam my wife and our insurance company. Now here we've been two days without AC in the heat with elderly and children in my house thanks for this guy. Apparently all day today he's forwarded all of his calls to a call service, and can't even bother to take care of any jobs. Don't partner with an on-call insurance company if you can't handle the work and you're going to try to scam their people.

Have these guys assigned to look at my sump pump in my basement by my home warranty company. The guy came out spend about 10 minutes in my basement and said we need to replace my sump pump. That was over four months ago. the guys are schedule appointment and then not show up for it. then they would not return phone calls or return text messages. the only time they would ever return a call is when I had the Home warranty company give them a call. But they still miss to schedule appointments. I have no idea if they do good work because they won't even show up to do the job.

I read the reviews that DO NOT USE this company and they are correct. I had very very bad experience with Expert Mechanical Services. I had first American home warranty, they assigned my claim to this company, this contractor never show up, never see any Email saying what date or time they will visit for service. 3 weeks later I received an service fee invoice from First American Home Warranty that i have to pay for 75 dollars for service fee. I never wrote any bad comments like this online but I have to this time. Everyone please if you want get billed for nothing done to your AC system then go with Expert Mechanical Services. I stop buying/renew my home warranty with First American Home Warranty because of this. They never listened to me, all they said is they received a report from the contractor that service has been done on July 9 2019. What funny is until July 16 I still receive Email from Home Warranty that do i need help to schedule an appointment. What does it mean, its mean the service never been scheduled and now they want me pay for service fee. I have all the proof, Email even text message from the contractor I asked him when they come, and they never reply. SCAM avoid at all cost.
