I called Howell heating and cooling when my Moms AC stopped working. She was about to start chemo and we were in a heat wave in Escondido. I didn’t want her any more uncomfortable so I needed to get this fixed asap. Most places said they couldn’t get out for a week. One of their techs came out that night on Sunday to inspect it and it turned out to be needing a whole new unit. The owner Korey called me and explained why the unit wasn’t working anymore, why it was blowing the fuses for me, and gave me a couple scenarios and different price levels on the repair. He explained that x could save money, but there’s a risk of x failing, and so on. They are very knowledgeable, respectful, and friendly, and seemed like straight shooters. We ended up going for the new unit, and they were able to pick it up that next morning and install it so my Mom didn’t have to be extra uncomfortable for any time at all. She keeps saying how quiet the new unit is, and her house stays nice and cool for her now. Thanks guys!
Korey and his crew finished the job on time and did a quality job! Extremely happy with the finished product. Will use them again on my rental property. Reasonably priced!
My AC suddenly stopped working and I was stressing about the coming heat wave with little ones at home. Korey was vey accommodating and came on a late Saturday afternoon. Korey was on time, very polite and he completed the work quickly.He explained what needed to be done and gave me several options on the level of repair. I’m very satisfied with his work and I highly recommend Korey and his team. I will continue to use his service if a problem should arise.
Korey and his team did such a wonderful fixing our AC. We were in a panic since we are new homeowners and weren't sure what was wrong. He came in, assessed the situation, and went straight to work. He identified that our thermostat should be replaced with something more reliable (the previous one had issues with keeping wires in place). He did a thorough job of checking that the AC and heating were working perfectly. While taking the extra time to make sure everything was working, he noticed that we needed a part replaced. He showed us the issue (the previous owner had a faulty safety setup!). He swiftly ordered a replacement part for us and had his awesome associate, Austin, come by to replace the part and even made sure to check the grates to make sure they were angled properly. Both Korey and Austin went above and beyond in helping us out and making sure we have a comfortable home. I wouldn't recommend anyone else!
Korey really saved the day for me. He worked late, on weekends and kept me updated the entire time. I wouldn’t go anywhere else, Korey gets the job done. It did not feel like a business transaction, it was more of a friendship. I highly recommend Howell Heating and Cooling!
Howell Heating & Cooling (HCC) really takes a consultative approach to their work and is conducted in a very professional manner. We moved into our house about 3.5 years and the original AC & Furnace & AC were in place. We initially engaged HCC for simple maintenance of our existing AC & Furnace and not only did the maintenance performed over the system prolong the lifespan our original system, but they also began by installing a smart thermostat and rewiring appropriately to accommodate the smart thermostat. Being able to manage and control the Heat/AC remotely was a game changer for my wife and I. After a couple years (September 2020), our system gave out completely and we had the confidence in HCC’s ability to replace the AC & Furnace. Within a day and a half our brand new system was in place and we were able to enjoy cool air in the middle of the heat here in North County San Diego. We would 1000% recommend HCC to anyone looking to either expand the lifecycle of their current HVAC system or get a completely new system in. Great price point, great service, and most importantly, very quick turnaround time. THANK YOU HCC!!
Super upfront and does everything at a great price. Usually you have to pick between quality and price but somehow Korey the owner is able to provide both. My go to guy now for anything a/c related
Great service. Kory at Howell heating and cooling was extremely friendly and explained the AC issue we were having. Quote was accurate and work was completed as estimated. We felt comfortable with the services provided because of how knowledgeable the tech was about our ac system. Would not hesitate to call again if we ever have any issues.
I think Korey is prompt, knowledgeable and is honest about what you need. I’d recommend him to anyone. The work he does is thorough and I think that is really hard to find today. He always gets back to me right away and I appreciate that as well.
