Several years ago I had an issue with my water furnace that one company misdiagnosed even though they claimed they work on geothermal systems. I called Ron and he helped me troubleshoot the system and fix it over the phone. Recently I decided I was ready to buy a new geothermal system and I contact Ron for the install. The new system is phenomenal, more efficient and cools/ heats the house faster than ever before.
Buyer beware!!! Caught Ron scamming us. Read and know you warranty. Told us our 1 year old system was not covered for the labor. I called Waterfurnace and they informed me that they did indeed pay him labor for our job. They had us send in the invoice and pics. After review they agreed that he had over charged us and sent us a check next day for $150.00! Ask him for labor break down. My advice STAY AWAY!
Could not be happier with the install. Purchased the Water Furnace 7. Ron's attention to detail was appreciated. Not only did he install the Water furnace, but he also corrected the improperly installed ductwork that was existing. Ron also Cleaned up our plumbing when installing the additional Hot Water tank for the system. It took a little more time than expected for the install but in the end his attention to detail and overall knowledge was worth it. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

We moved into a house that had geothermal heat and air. While putting in water and electric lines to my barn I ended up hitting 2 of the geothermal lines and completely cut them in half. The previous owners had made us aware that Hottinger was the one that installed the unit, so we called him and explained the situation. He came out and looked at the damage immediately, but while here he was extremely disrespectful and acted like we were burdening him by giving him business. He stated he could fix it, but it would be a minimum of 700$ if everything went "smooth". He also stated that there was a very good chance that he would need to dig up the whole geothermal unit and replace it all which would be astronomically expensive. Once he left I decided to get a second opinion so I called elite heat and air. They were very helpful and respectful on the phone. I explained my problem and the guy walked me through everything that would need to be done. He also made me aware that there was absolutely no need to dig up the whole system. He stated the issue could be fixed and the system up and running within an hour and a half and that it would be no more than 200$ and the work would be guaranteed! Needless to say, I scheduled with elite heating and cooling and will be warning all people about the possibility of being ripped off by Hottinger!
Excellent experience replacing my water heater that feeds into my geo system. He pointed out how the previous install was not correct. He also revised some other weird plumbing issues in my house. Cleaned up everything and was reasonably priced. A great find.

Ron is the very best businessman to work with for your heating and cooling needs. Great troubleshooter great experience - extremely trustworthy and friendly. A remarkable find in this day and age. My family is very pleased with the installation and rapid response to our service needs all these years.
Hottinger Geothermal LLC was fantastic to work with! Ron and his Team replaced our outdated Waterfurnace with a 7 series Waterfurnace with Zone control (4 zone in our Home), along with the Symphony "Web Portal". We couldnt be Happier with the whole process! With the zone control, the Home is much more comfortable! No cold spots! No hot spots! Plus, when Ron or Larry found a problem tgey notified us and corrected immediately. Can't say enough, other than I trust Hottinger Geothermal Heating and Cooling!
