Great service, but the furnace repair people need to wear face masks on the job. "I already had Covid two weeks ago" is not an excuse to not wear a mask. The virus remains in your system for months after infection. Please follow standard safety protocols.

Everyone at this company was a pleasure to do business with - even from the start when my furnace went out and I talked to the friendly office staff. A knowledgeable technician was sent to evaluate my situation - to fix or replace - and I appreciated his honesty. The salesman Jeff sent a fair bid that was straightforward with clear options. The crew that came to do the installation of my new furnace and AC were super efficient. I am so pleased with the service I received from this business!

I quoted with 5 different places and in the end Hillestad had the best price and the best equipment option. The install took all day because our setup has so many quirks. When they were done I couldn't imagine a more professional looking job. I definitely would recommend them to anyone. They always shoot very straight with is on annual furnace checkups at a very reasonable rate as well.

We had an air conditioning unit installed. I had brought in several HVAC contractors to have a look at the project and I took the opportunity to ask each many questions about their products and about the installation process. Jeff from Hillestad was excellent at listening to our HVAC needs and providing answers to my numerous questions. He took the time to explain the product and the installation. I was impressed with Jeff's no-pressure approach to sales. Hillestad's installation went flawlessly. The installers were courteous, professional, and efficient- just great guys to work with. We are very happy with Hillestad. The pricing was very fair and the AC unit is operating very well. I will be using Hillestad for future HVAC projects.

I’ve had trouble with my ancient furnace and air conditioner in recent months. The furnace broke on a freezing cold day and the air conditioner broke on a 90 degree day, go figure. I feared they would need to be replaced. However, Phil, a Hillestad technician, was able to fix them both. The service is always prompt and knowledgeable, which is most appreciated. A great company all around.

Tech came out to service my AC unit. He acted very annoyed and irritated to be there, and made my girlfriend uncomfortable. He went off on my girlfriend about the terrible work performed by whoever had worked on it previously, and also went off on her about another tenant, "Some woman who doesn't know how to f@#%ing drive!" Sounds like maybe he was just having a bad day, and I can forgive that. But when I called Hillestad to give them this feedback, the person I spoke to was immediately defensive, argumentative, and completely unapologetic in any way that could even remotely be considered sincere. She totally made me feel like the bad guy, and I hung up in complete disbelief over how I was treated. In her words, "I have to protect our technicians" and "Well, that's just your side of the story," and "Well I wasn't there", etc. I have used Hillestad several times before and they were great. I thought they would want to know if one of their service techs was unprofessional, but obviously they don't care. I'm sure they will respond to this and deny it, which is fine, that's how I was treated on the phone, too. They have lost for good a potentially loyal customer. But according to the person I talked to, "Fine, that's your decision!" Yes, it is. A little customer service and professionalism goes a LONG way. I can understand even a tech has a bad day, but don't have a "the customer is always wrong" attitude when they call and politely explain a bad experience. Never argue and get combative with a customer, or imply that you don't believe them. Offer a sincere apology for the bad experience, say that it will be addressed, and let the customer know that you value their business. That is customer service 101, and it's very simple and effective in keeping customers. Too bad.

Despite the fact that they were incredibly busy, they made us a priority at all hours of the night & day to quickly iron out the kinks. We interacted with several employees & we found each to be knowledgable, honest, professional & beyond helpful. I would recommend them without hesitation.

A/C gave out on a Friday at 5 PM. Called the emergency line and spoke to a person who tried to trouble shoot and talk me through the options. We decided to wait until Monday, at which time a technician came out and fixed the 20-year old unit. I feared the worst! Good thing I didn't need a new one because I learned they were about two weeks out with scheduling. Still, I appreciated the prompt service!
