BEWARE!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! Travis Dodson fed upon our desire to have the best System installed and have follow up maintenance as needed for that system in order to con us into paying an inflated price, with promises of a better larger system, installed properly and yearly maintenance for a worry free system. Travis instead blatantly and fraudulently installed a even smaller system than we originally had, in order to maximize his profit, did not install it properly and did not provide yearly maintenance or service. We have a contract that clearly says new 3 TON UNITS. We discovered later that Travis Dodson had in fact installed smaller cheaper 2 TON UNITS inside and outside (they look the same). The units run constantly. Travis Dodson admitted his error and offered to put in the 3 TON units but only if we pay him an additional $8000.00!!!! We have a complaint in with TDLR that is going to a prosecutor in the near future. Travis Dodson is also illegally using TDLR license # TACLA00068570E to operate 3 different companies, under different addresses, phone numbers and logos. They are: 1.Texas SDHV Systems Co. 2.High Velocity AC HVAC 3.Honey Nest heat & air
High Velocity AC is also Honey Nest Heat and Air - same company. Honey Nest replaced 2 HVAC units in my home in March 2020. I selected them based on there knowledge and price. They were installing a 2 ton and 4 ton Goodman system. A couple of things happened. 1. One of the installers put a foot through the ceiling from the attic. Nest did get somebody out right away to fix the drywall. But probably shouldn't have happened. 2. One of the condensing units they picked up had some severely bent fins – really bad. If I didn’t spot it I’m pretty sure that would have been installed. I ask that they get a new one. 3. After the new units were in place the installer could not get the Freon released in one of the units. It was considered a maintenance issue so they sent over a different tech the next day to complete the install. 4. They had to move around both gas exit vents that goes through the roof. After it was installed, and a rain strom came through, both vents would leak. I called multiple times and spoke with someone but after 5 months of no action I got a roofer to come out and seal the roof vents. Overall, the units both do work. But the process was more headache than I had hoped. And I’m not happy I couldn’t get anybody to come out and fix the exit vents. I would not use them again if I had to do it over.
