James tells it like it is! He told me exactly what I needed to have done and saved me from having to pay thousands (not kidding) to the "big guys" in town who were pushing me to have my entire system replaced. You would not believe how much of a scam these other HVAC companies are running. This man is honest and cares about the customer's wallet. Great company! UPDATE: He is a small operation with a very busy schedule (especially in the summer). You may have to wait longer than expected.... but their work is of good quality and value when they arrive. As of this year, the scheduling aspect of his company could use improving. That alone might be enough to frustrate some people into choosing another guy, or even dropping a couple stars. However, the honesty, work quality, and value keep High Tech at 5 stars.

James Walker and his son Brandon are the best air conditioning and heating contractors and service technicians I have met in over 50 years extensive experience dealing with such. In 2013 James replaced my heat pump compressor and got Trane to cover the cost of the equipment just before the warranty expired. A few years later Brandon replaced my evaporator coil rather than try to sell me a whole new system the way so many HVAC people would. This summer they both installed a state of the art American Standard 2 stage heat pump and variable speed air handler in my daughter’s home and it is so incredibly efficient, quiet, and economical compared to the old system, James sized it with measurements and calculations rather than hunch. They are honest and proficient and anyone displeased with their advice or service is almost certainly the one who is wrong.
High Tech James walker is the most honest ac heating guy ever met. I submitted a service request with High Tech to help me troubleshoot the wiring on my new Nest thermostat. James was prompt and courteous the entire job. Not only did he have my A/C running in minutes, but he also taught me the control specs of each colored wire. Then he took me outside to the heat pump and gave me several maintenance tips to avoid any further issues. High Tech has my business for life!
Had an ac leak I wanted fixed, they showed up and filled unit with freon. Did not look for leaks just charged be 330$. I had to explain I wanted it repaired. He said I had 2 leaks (without looking at anything) and it would be 1,800 to fix. Scheduled a time to come back....have not seen him since. It is clear he never intended to fix the unit.
These guys offer great, trustworthy and efficient service.
