Gj was super knowledgeable and fixed the problem in minutes. I will call them again next time
It seems as though we were scammed. They came back in the late August to fix the a/c because it just shut off. The guys were nice and all, but they came late so they promised to come back out the next day. They returned and did some work but they never did anything to the outside coils and I had requested that they do a complete full service maintenance of our entire system. When the central a/c unit faltered and stopped putting out cool air this October - I reached out to them to see if they could come back to finish the job since it was obvious they never fully cleaned out the outdoor coils and who knows what else. I am disappointed because I called them back, was told they'd reach back out to me - and I never heard back. I feel like they were avoiding my calls (much like what happened to another recent review). I'm not sure what happened with this company but I am not pleased that they seem to just avoid contact and owning up to not doing a good job in the first place. I would not recommend them and find someone better.
These guys really let me down. I previously left a 5 star review for them, that was a mistake. They did a repair for me on a 4-year old system, and later they cleaned a few units inside. All was good and mostly professional, but then they just went limp and disappeared, leaving me with a broken system. I called them for a repair, they came and quickly diagnosed the problem and said I needed a few simple repair parts. They claimed they would get the parts from the local supplier and call to schedule the fix. That was a couple of weeks before Christmas so I gave them some time and even waited until after the New Year - they never called to finish the work. So I called them and reminded them the job was still incomplete, they said "let me check on that and call you back",,,, no call back. I waited a week and called again,,, this time they recognized me, apologized profusely for failing to follow through, again, and this time they promised they would call me by Monday to get the job done,,,,,, no call on Monday. I waited two more days, called again, this time it went straight to voice mail,, I pleaded with them to please come fix my A/C like they had promised to do three times,,,,, no call back from Joel. Now its like they're too embarrassed, or too scared to call, and they're paralyzed by fear and inaction. I don't get it. I was always very polite with them, I tipped the guys who cleaned the inside units $20 each. I gave them lots of time and opportunity to let them follow through on their word,, and they didn't have the respect or decency to even call. Just a total blow off! I've been sitting with a busted A/C for almost a month now. Time I could have used to find someone who isn't lazy and unprofessional, and masquerading as legitimate tradesman. Not reliable, not worth anyone's time. At this point I wouldn't let them fix my A/C for free. I just don't trust them to do a good job. He was amazing!! 10/10 recommend! I called and even though it was close to closing, he still drove out and helped me with my AC problems! Super professional and will be using his services again!
Fast response to my request for removal and replacement of a window unit. GJ was very helpful and cooperative. Worked hard to remove my old unit and installed the new one with some difficulty but was determined to do the job to my satisfaction. LG unit is very quiet and am highly satisfied.
Failed to properly troubleshoot and diagnose the problem my HVAC system. Instead of doing their due diligence they quoted for a complete system replacement. Another company spent the same amount of time (roughly an hour and a half) and actually went through a good troubleshooting process to discover the problem was a simple electrical connection issue. This illustrated to me that HI State Services LLC didn’t even remove any panels to check those simple functions, nor did they use professional tools to check the system electrical or fluid levels, instead they just looked at the exterior of the system. This suggests that they lack proficiency with unfamiliar systems, a bad trait in a company that purports to be provide general HVAC services. The final fix from the other company cost the same amount as HI State Services LLC’s service response charge, and I was saved from HI State Services LLC influencing me to replace a still functioning HVAC system several years prior to its true end of life (a difference of tens of thousands of dollars in price for the work, and over the lifetime of the home). Would not recommend based upon this interaction. I sincerely hope the company can improve its professional competency to provide more honest, quality services in the future.
I had a window unit installed as well as a portable AC put in. Sure, I could have figured it out myself but it was so much nicer to have Joel do it for me! Fast and friendly service and we are nice and cool in our house now
I will definitely be recommending Hi State Services to everybody I know. This is a small business run by two brothers, and their professionalism and quality just can't be beat. They responded quickly and gave me a fair quote and also explained everything to me. We need more companies like this!
I love that HI State Services is an owner-run and operated, family business! Joel is very professional and friendly. I would recommend his services to anyone looking to install air conditioning. Especially in the hot summer months!!
Joel and his team are amazing , from the time they answered the phone I could tell the difference. Professional and accommodating , explaining the process and keeping me informed of common problems and setting proper expectations for me. If you need ac repair or a new system call Hi State Services - you wont regret it.
Joel and his staff are Great!! Very professional and quick !! They went out of there way to make sure my system still had warranty and cut my cost in half!! If you want honest ac repair call them!!
