I had Hawkins install an AC system in Dec 2014. About 2 weeks ago the unit shutoff and I called a different company I've been using lately to come out to fix it. They found that the unit in the attic was not installed properly and was crushing the condensation pan. I called Hawkins to get a quote for the repair, but they wouldn't do anything without charging me a service fee to come out and take a look. I asked them if they would waive the fee since I was willing to give them an opportunity to fix their mistake and retain me as a customer. I wasnt trying to get out of paying for the repairs, just the service fee that is going to tell me what I already know. She became super defensive. She told me it wasnt possible the pan would get smashed and asked why now, 5 years later would it all of the sudden cause a problem. Obviously it took that long for the pan to be smashed enough to cause the issue. She questioned how I could know it was the pan, but didnt let me answer. She just continued yelling as if asking them to waive the fee was absurd. I told her I had pictures and a quote from another company, but I honestly don't know if she even heard.

I made an appointment with this company and they never showed up. I waited for an hour past my appointment and then called to find out why Eric hadn’t showed up. They put me through to Eric who got an attitude about how they didn’t work in the rain and had tried to contact me all day to let me know. I called back to the office and some lady claimed she called and left me a voicemail at 1 that afternoon. I have no voicemails and no missed calls. I did get an appointment reminder in my email at noon though. Mistakes happen, but the attitude of the people I spoke with was completely unprofessional.

I contacted Hawkins when my AC went out. The first technician was super friendly and efficient and was able to get my blower motor replaced the same day - the technician went and got the part right away and came back to install it. I had a vibrating noise after the installation, and what impressed me the most is they stood behind their work, came back out, and fixed the issue at no charge (the Freon line was slightly moved when installing my motor and was on my over the range microwave vent). Thank you to Mike and Eric for your friendly service and to Hawkins for a incredibly awesome job. Would recommend them to anyone.

Had a warranty plan through a company called HMS that used Hawkins as a contractor to do warranty claim calls. Heat went out prior to one of the coldest weeks this winter and technician in this area at least, comes out to replace a capacitor on the outside unit due to the outside fan not running, charges us the deductible and leaves. Never checks to be sure we were getting heat again, and come to find out, mistook a built in baseboard heater we had running in the kitchen for the actual heat duct of the house!!! Really? So he comes back, says the air flow is weak, and it must be the system. No explanation on what to do, what he means by it must be the system etc. So he leaves anyway and says run the fan only for the night and see if the flow returns. It never does. Call the guy back and we get the normal stuff of anything that is preventative maintenance is not covered by the warranty. That is all fine I have no issue with that so he comes back 4 days later, all this time without any heat in the house outside of the fact that some rooms were designed with built in base board heaters as supplemental heaters due to this being a heat pump. After finally coming back out, he crawls under the house to check the coil because our house is a townhouse with a crawlspace where most of the piping and so forth is. This also makes us think this is why we cannot get any service due to the difficult nature of where the coil is. Well the air flow issue according to this tech is due to a very dirty coil that needs to be chemically cleaned and he would need to find some heavy duty cleaner to avoid removing the coil to have it bathed in this cleaner which would be expensive and that was two days ago and still have heard nothing. We even asked to setup a yearly maintenance plan with them so we could have it checked every year for the fee and give them the business if this was the case but not happening now. If it would let me rate 0 stars I would have. Been through 2 of the coldest days

Mike was sent out to see why ito furnace suddenly stopped working. Quickly found the problem and had us back up and running. Hard to find a company that doesn't want to just sell you a new unit when there's plenty of life in what you have. I only and will always use Hawkins HVAC!

Don’t like this company and won’t recommend. Trying to sell everything . I bought a house and ac unit needed just to add the Freon and the tech was trying to sell me a lot of other things and said I will fit in couple of thousand bucks . Another company came and did a great job for just two hundred. Never going to call Hawkins again. All reviews here are scam!
