They would be my last resort to call and use. I definitely do not recommend. I have been trying since April to get a new a/c installed. The parts are in and home warranty keep calling them and they lie to appease home warranty. They have even told them I have called to reschedule the install when they refuse to call me back. I call them every 3 days and they never return my calls.
Doesn’t call to schedule appointment, doesn’t return service update requests. Now they are trying to get AHS to replace the whole unit when I told them it just needs a new fan motor. The “diagnostic” was less than 5 min in which the guy said “it’s a little dirty, I think it’s the compressor.” Oh, and they showed up 5 days after being scheduled… I’m worried they won’t work with AHS now and fix the simple problem.
I worked all night get home stay up until 3:30 before I get someone to finally return my call to tell me they meant to call me and tell me they wouldn’t be able to make it and the smart mouth xxxxx on the phone gets mouthy with me because I was frustrated. I’m guessing it’s a south broadway business and she just answers and returns calls in between tricks.

Very poor work ethic. Do not come when they say they will, also never get call backs in a timely manner, if you get one at all. They installed the A/C unit incorrectly, kept blowing fuse on heater, instead of finding the cause, they told me i needed a new heater, also, installed the ECoils incorrectly. After i paid a professional to come take a look, tooke him 30 minutes to find and fix their mistake on the fuse blowing.. no new heater needed..( had to replace transformer, and fix crossed wire) also, took him 2 and 1/2 hours to fixs the ECoil mistake, now it does not freeze up and runs great. Would highly recommend not using this company if you can.. I only had to use them because of Choice Home Warranty.
Terrible company! They called and stated they would show up twice by message, never showed, then tried saying it was our fault we didn't answer a random call after their office stated the tech was on its way----twice, then had the gull to tell our home warranty company that we were to blame. Unfortunately for them we had the voice-mails to prove otherwise.
Have had many no shows no calls. I call and leave messages with no return call.
I thought my A/C unit was done for. Josiah and the other technician with him, came out and performed maintenance, checked everything, and also provided tips to keep my unit healthy. Thanks!
This group canceled my appointment 4 times over the course of two weeks including the last time after contacting me that the technician was on the way. They have someone to answer the phone but they can't answer any questions and call backs are rare and certainly not timely. Apparently they only work from 11-3, which may be the problem, but when I suggest that, I was being disrespectful to the person who was rescheduling me for the 5th time. Don't waste your time.
STILL NOT FIXED 2 MONTHS LATER. I would give negative stars if I could. Late December our furnace began to have issue with the heat sensor. This company was sourced by Choice Home Warranty (which has always had amazing vendors who have been quick, dependable, and communicative). The first call out they reported the system repaired, which they only cleaned the sensor but reported no issues of a heat sensor, to the Choice and closed the ticket. Later that day the system seem to not want to stop supplying heat. When I open the lower portion of the unit, I found a jumper, causing the furnace to not turn off. I truly believe this could have been a very major safety issue. I removed the jumper and the system seem to act accordingly for a day or so. Mind you this December and moving into January. I attempted to call them back where I was advised they had installs to work on the next day and would be back out later the next to repair. No contact was made to reschedule. I had to message choice to reopen the ticket and advise the system still needed repairs. We are now into mid late January when they came back to install the part finally. I had to call the vendor, repeatedly attempting to obtain some sort of repair schedule. When the part was installed, they then found additional issues that required now a control board. I was told this is a hard to obtain component which had an over one week lead time. I had to call again repeatedly to find some sort of update where I kept being advised ”as i stated (by the individual receiving inbound calls), this is a hard to get part and we are not sure when it’s going to come in,” I asked them to get tracking or additional information so we could have a timeline as to when our house would have heat again… Late January H & S called to say the part had been received, and they scheduled another visit. This is visit number 3 to my residence. A part was installed, but not verified by the technician to see if any heat was being supplied. This
Bought entire new system had trouble with it from the start and when notified system was not installed properly and malfunctioning was told he didnt care if it was dine wrong or not he wasn't going to fix it it was my problem
Updated Review: I changed the rating from a 1 to a 4 because the Office manager called and apologized for all of the confusion and has made everything right. It doesn't take much to help make things better and she was wonderful. Customer service, "isn't our job".... NOTED! I had a service call for my heater and the technician showed up at 5:30pm when my service window was 11-3. He was late, but it was fine and the technician was pleasant and professional and he told me that he needed to order a part. When he told me that I owed a service fee I told him that I believed that the warranty website stated that I had a free service call. He said that he would try putting the claim information in and if it got denied I would need to call the office and pay my fee. A week goes by and I hear nothing, from either the H&W or my warranty company. I call and leave a message and still don't hear anything. I call two days later and finally get a person on the phone. This person proceeds to tell me that it is my own fault that I didn't know to call the warranty company to check the status. Because I deal with warranty companies all the time... no, that would be them. That it isn't their job to notify me that my claim didn't go through. It would have taken a 2 second phone call to notify me that my claim didn't go through, but it "isn't our job" to do that. Customer service, "isn't our job". NOTED! All it would have taken was for the office person to simply apologize on behalf of the company and to say that they will see what they can do to rectify the issue. I fully understand that it isn't that specific persons fault, but when you work a job like that customer service is a part of it. Do better H&W.
Took 2 weeks to finally come look at the AC. Diagnosed it, said it would be a couple of days to get back out to fix it. Never came out. After almost 3 weeks of calling I was told not to call and again and they never came out. Do yourselves a favor and don’t use this company. Unless you feel like waiting 2 month in 100°+ weather, then in that case, go ahead.
Home warranty company referral on 6/14/22 to H&S. H&S (or H&W depending on who answers phone) rescheduled my appt 3 times and then showed up late. Took 2 weeks for them to come out initially. Part was supposedly ordered and after 3 weeks of daily calls checking on part with no return calls, home warranty company finally reassigned to another company 7/8/22. Still not fixed and basically starting process over. They also submitted pictures for my other unit that they never did diagnostics on. Very unprofessional and unreliable. To not return weeks of messages is just flat out unacceptable. If they are too busy or just don’t want the work….just say so.
If you want a HVAC team that is honest, helpful, and transparent give them a call. I seen the bad reviews and I understand home warranty companies suck. H&S will be my go to team due to their customer service and dedication to get me up and running no matter the day or time.5/5 give them a call before anyone else.
This was our first time using this company, and I have to say we were extremely satisfied with our experience. From start to finish every employee we had interaction with was pleasant, professional, and eager to help us get our AC back up and running in the midst of 105+ heat. Josiah was very knowledgeable and had our unit up and running within an hour. We will most definitely be using H & S Heating and Cooling again and will be referring others to do the same.
Quality work, was running a bit behind but made sure to communicate with me that he would be running late. Had my ac up and back running within 30 minutes and cleaned our unit for us very nice gentlemen 10/10!
This company's scheduling is awful. It took a week to get a request submitted and approved from my warranty schedule and another week to get scheduled only to have them cancel on me after 2 weeks and try to reschedule. I took time off of work to wait for them. Their communication and scheduling is terrible. Do not recommend.
They were 3 hours late and told us they would call us 30 minutes before they got here. They called then left 20 minutes after they called when we showed up 22 minutes after they call. Idk why home warranty companies use such worthless company’s
