This poor company. Completely incompetent. The person who came out to inspect my heat pump wasn't even able to find the filter. I had to show him where it was. Also, he completely missed the obvious leak that was indicating a serious problem with the unit. He concluded that a heat pump isn't designed to heat and that if I wanted to heat my home, I should buy a space heater. He even showed me the one he recommended on Amazon. It's truly astounding that this place is licensed. Wow. Just... wow.

The best, Mark and Zack helped me out big time, I've been trying to fix my AC for 3 months, went thru 3 different companies and finally this one pulled thru. In a few days, right after the inspection, I got lucky because they have available parts already, they were able to replace my AC right away. They went out of their way of helping me out since the AC was too big to even fit in my door, we had to lift it over the backyard fence saving me hundreds of dollars on using a crane.

First time, It took a week for them to show up. They were rude and arrogant. Just got assigned to them again from our home warranty company. They never returned calls. It’s been two weeks now. Do not waste your time or money with this company. They are incompetent. The first time they came out they said it was not broken. It is still broken.

Our AC stopped working in the heat of August. When we requested help from our home warranty, Generations called to make an appointment. We were desperate, being seniors with recent trips to ER. Zach came immediately, identified the problem, ordered a new motor, and made an appointment to install it. It is working perfectly now, and we are very grateful.

Zack and Mike were amazing! On time, called before arrival, and made the repair to the A/C capacitor. I also had the outside unit thoroughly cleaned below competitor pricing. When the inside unit stopped working, they quickly responded and fixed the problem. These hardworking men are honest and helpful. I would recommend them to my friends and family.

My home warranty company contacted Generations HVAC and they were able to schedule an appointment with me on the same day. Zack called when he was on his way, he was on time and when he arrived, he quickly assessed the problem and fixed the capacitor. Air Conditioner was back on and working. Extremely disappointed with the service, communication, demeanor & overall professionalism. My recommendation would be to continue researching elsewhere, hire a different company. First scheduled visit was a no call, no show. I considered the reschedule because no person/business is perfect & I'm all about supporting local small businesses but the repair appeared to be a major inconvenience for him.

Our heater was working on and off. We had that cold spell here in SD over the last month or so and we were freezing!! Zack was super nice on the phone and had his tech Michael out very quickly. They discovered the problem was the gas ignitor and fixed it. They were very honest and did not try to upsell us. It appeared the furnace had not been cleaned forever, likely 15+ years! We purchased the home 2 years ago and have 2 dogs. We asked about having the inside of the furnace serviced and agreed on a very reasonable price. When Michael opened it up, we were shocked at how bad it was. Years of life was added to our old furnace thanks to Generations Heating and A/C!! I highly recommend them.

Dispatched by our home warranty and never filed the proper report to indicate what needed to be fixed on our furnace. This will now require a second visit, that will cost more money, simply to re-diagnose the issue. Also charged me $45 for a filter that runs for maybe $10, but I made the mistake of trusting the "professional".

worst company EVER, have been dealing with them for a month now and our heater still does not work and it is freezing out! Our home has been so cold over the holiday season that we had to buy a bunch of space heaters for our guests and family staying with us. Initially contacting this company, the man was so unprofessional, this should have been our RED FLAG! He was speaking to me in a derogatory manner, with children yelling in the background, I could barely hear him. We realize people are working remotely due to the current situation however......still UNPROFESSIONAL......remove yourself from the area. The tech came out and it was fixed for 2 days, then broke. Reached out to our Home Warranty and the tech and because it was the holiday season they were delayed (which we understand). Jan 3rd my husband contacted the same person from this company and he HUNG UP on my husband. AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL......keep looking for another company people. SUPER unprofessional and incompetent

AC was not working so called my warranty company AHS who sent me this company to diagnose the issue. The Mike the tech came and replaced the thermostat and stated the issue was fixed. One day passes and it’s blowing room temperature air. Contacted AHS again for a recall due to the issue still being present. They sent out Mike The tech again who this time goes up to the roof and assesses that the condenser has a leak and that he needs to get authorisation from the warranty company to repair the Freon leak and resupply the missing freon. One week passes with no response. I contact AHS who says that the contractor can’t work on the unit because it was tampered with. Mind you the roof access is closed by the HOA and you need permission to opendoor to the roof. So it shows that this is totally fabricated so as to not do the work as per the policy. I contacted the contractor multiple times to discuss this with their master Tech Zack. Its been the weeks and I’m still waiting. Fortunately, AHS sent me another contractor for a second opinion. The company United Home Air diagnosed the issue quickly as a leak coming from the condenser which required a new system put. Thankfully this diagnosis is a covered service by AHS. I would not use this Generation HVAC again and I don’t recommend anyone else utilising their unethical and inept service.
