Overpriced. $99 service call fee & $175 to blow the AC drain. Said his pricing was higher just because he took the time to show and explain his work. Had quite the argumentative tone when I asked about the pricing. Wouldn’t use again.
Ed repaired my very old system and then I got him to install my new HVAC system and a ductless heating and air system upstairs that never got enough air. He also does my yearly maintenance now. He is so fast to respond and great prices. He will be my go-to man for all my electrical and HVAC needs from now on.
We use this company to repair the electrical damage due to Hurricane Ida. Can lights were installed, wiring was run, repairs were made, overhead lighting and bathroom lighting fixtures were installed, work in the attic was done, outside lines were run, and so much more. The owner of the company and the two workers that were at the house were 100% professional. Out of all the workers I have had since Hurricane Ida this has been by far the best experience. There was a detailed invoice so I knew exactly what was going to be done and how much it was going to be costing. We encountered a slight snag in which the repair cost a slightly more but all of it was discussed with me prior to doing it. What I liked about this owner and his business is there were no surprises. They were highly professional and efficient and worked from morning till night and got the job done. I would use them again in a heartbeat and would trust them in my home even if I was not there. Unfortunately I can only give them five stars 5 stars. I wish I could give them 50. Excellent service.
I highly recommend G.E.M. Air & Electric. I have used them for several years; and they consistently give phenomenal customer service and their work is top quality. They are prompt and they get the job done right the first time. I recommend them without any reservation whatsoever.
Ed Medina and GEM Air & Electric did a great job replacing my worn-out HVAC. He got me through an obnoxious permitting process and was always responsive to my concerns. His team left no trace of this major job-- inside and outside units and all ductwork replaced-- when finished. He taught me how to use the thermostat and downloaded an app to my phone to allow for remote operation. He even took care of registering the new equipment to get it all under warranty. He's professional, personable, smart and conscientious. I recommend highly!

Ed was fantastic. Knowledgeable, personable, punctual, and very informative. I had a new Air Handler and Plenum installed a few days after he took a look at the awful condition of the original ones that came with my house. There’s a price you pay for solid, trustworthy work and I’m one of those people that will pay for the peace of mind. Large homeowner expenses suck, we can all agree on that. But if it needs to be done it should be done by the right people, and that’s G.E.M.
Ed answered my initial phone call quickly and professionally. He listened. He’s a great listener. After listening and small talk with a joke about my last name, he offered to come look at my problem. I have a 3 zone mini split that someone else installed improperly. Ed arrived a few minutes early and looked at the system. He began methodically working and found a major leak from improper previous install. He thought through things to fully check and repair the problem. And check for other failure points. Once all was done, he left the area clean and I couldn’t tell he had worked there. That is how clean he works. He has proper tools, and professional equipment to do the job right. He’s a super nice person and we had great conversation while he worked. My AC is blowing cool and he is a great person for attempting to work on my system. I’m grateful he shows up and did such a wonderful job. Highly recommend him.
Ed from GEM is awesome. He has always been there when we needed him. His knowledge of the systems and his trusted advice has saved us money and stress over the years. He installed a new 5ton unit and has maintained it as well as our 3ton unit. I would highly recommend him and have advised my sons who are new home owners to reach out to him and sign up for his annual maintenance plan.

i cant say enough great things about mr. ed and G.E.M. Air & Electric! mr. ed came almost as soon as i called him for an emergency repair to my a.c. and then again a few months later for a potentially hazardous isuue we were expirencing with the old wiring done to our condo and he knew immediately what needed to be done on both occassions and he resolved the issues with no problem and his prices are very reasonable! the love he has for his workmanship shows through the level of professionalism in which he carries himself.. he was kind enough to not only locate and fix our problem with the wiring but when he seen that other condos had the same wiring and could possibly have been expirencing the same issues my condo was he made it a point to make sure that my neighbors were informed
Ed and his team are amazing. He always returns calls promptly and arrives when he tells you he's going to be there. Ed goes out of his way to ensure that every job is completed to his high standards. I have four central a/c systems that Ed maintains and repairs when necessary, and I wouldn't think of calling anybody else.
I've been working with Ed for over 3+ years now. I don't call anyone else! He returns you call. He shows up. And does a great job. Ed & his crew have done multiple jobs for me, ranging from installing AC & furnace, Nest cameras, ceiling fans, and many more household electrical needs. He's a pro! Call him. Ed is friendly and very responsive. We first found Ed because we needed help with our Nest Thermostat. He has been servicing our unit ever since. I’m January our heater went out on the coldest day of the year. Ed answered immediately when I called, and worked around my schedule to come out and fix it. While he was diagnosing the problem he explained to me what he was doing and how the heating unit initializes. He is friendly and helpful. Ed is my first call when the AC has problems!
Ed is extremely conscientious! He is also one of the cleanest repairman I have ever had on my premises. He is meticulous in his work and takes the time to leave things even cleaner than when he arrived. He also does the research to make sure he understands the cause of the problem so that he can fix the issue right the first time.
Ed did all the electrical work for my full renovation. He did a wonderful job and was great to work with. Ed answered all of my questions and was quick to respond throughout the process.
