These guys put a unit in my sister's property, it doesn't work, they don't answer text or calls, just screwed her real good. They have a small child
We were customers of First Coast Climate for a few years on their yearly (billed monthly) maintenance plan. Once COVID started, their service went downhill. They became nearly impossible to reach, they missed maintenance appointments, etc. As time went on, they became increasingly difficult to reach. We had an appointment for our winter maintenance last November 2021. This appointment was missed and after several attempts to reach the company, I finally made contact. I was informed that they were switching away from the maintenance contracts and I would have to pay for the November service out of pocket. After going back and forth trying to figure out where my contract ended and where I now had to start paying for the maintenance, we decided to cancel service with them. Since that time, they have continued to bill me for my monthly maintenance contract (December 2021 and now January 2022) and have been impossible to reach via phone or text. I have had to dispute the charges with my credit card company, but First Coast hasn't responded to either dispute. Do NOT do business with these folks. They are dishonest and unreliable.
After nearly a year, my wife is finally letting me post this. I sought First Coast Climate Control out because of a positive review. Needed a repair to the coffin the handler sat on and some minor maintenance. The technician was terrible, missed details, forgot to bring parts (twice), took a hammer, left a sprayer, said a vent was blowing air and then that it was an intake vent. He spoke to a girlfriend on the phone about hi pain medication use and his employer needing to pay him commission and then comes in to tell me we need to do x for $$. Meanwhile, he didn’t check the one thing I specifically asked him to check. Plus he smoked, left cigarettes butts in my garage. Two repair trips to our house by one technician and then another trip by a different technician. I thought I was a case of ‘good company hiring a terrible tech’, so I let it go - trying to give the company the benefit of the doubt based on the positive reviews I had heard and the quality of the second technician and the office staff. Also, I figuring it was settled and I wouldn’t have to use them again. Immediately afterward we noticed the heating pump blowing was cold air (literally dropping the temperature in the house). We’re hoping the first technician just overlooked something when he put the system back together. This summer the unit started leaking again - its Florida, humid, etc. I go check to see if the united is iced up. No, not iced but there’s ~4 inches of standing water in the coffin. Put a level on it and the damn thing is tipping AWAY from the drain. It hasn’t been draining correctly this entire time. I had such high expectations from First Coast Climate Control and have been very disappointed. First Coast Climate Control needs to do a better job of screening its technicians. Have not and will not do business with them ever again.
I have been a subscriber to the $14.95 a month "service plan" for 2 years. They charge me $14.95 a month LIKE CLOCKWORK. What have I received for my money you ask? The pleasure of one partial service and many messages and requests to schedule cleaning and inspection IGNORED. Not even a call back to thank me for the money each month and tell me how stupid I am to keep letting them take it every month. My "service plan" included 2 cleanings and inspections a year and discounted parts and service. GOOD LUCK GETTING SO MUCH AS A RETURNED CALL let alone any service!!
Was a great job saved us money while the other company was trying to rob us and make us go without ac for a hot week of torture... Thanks again to the honest and reliable company y you are.
When I was researching alternate central A/C system manufactures online for the “best” highest efficiency choice multiple reviewers said that total cost was a factor but less important than selecting a highly rated manufacture and a competent installation contractor. My research lead me to a select a Lenox 20.5 SEER 4 ton system and a 22 SEER 2 ton system each with Lenox Pureair photocatalytic oxidation air purification systems and Ultrasmart thermostats. For the installation I selected Certified Climate Control which recently changed their name to First Coast Climate Control. The installed price of $19,777 with a 10 year parts and labor warranty was among the highest we received. Removal of the old functional by lower efficiency 10 year old Carrier systems and installation of the new equipment was all done in a day. If I had to do over again we would insist on a more realistic work schedule. It took the installation crew almost 14 hours from start to finish plus travel time. No one can work that long at peak mistake free efficiency and necessarily complete the entire work scope. In my case I had asked First Coast as part of the job to adjust the duct dampers to more evenly balance the air flow throughout the house. The installers did not have time to do the damper adjustment and never came back to do so. I should have retained a percentage of the contract payment pending receipt of all manuals, warranty paperwork and completion of the entire work scope. First Coast was very responsive prior to receiving the order and did a good job installing the equipment; however, I am very disappointed with their post installation responsiveness. It took over 2 months of multiple emails and telephone calls to get copies of the compressor, air handler and air filter manuals. After the installation the first correspondence from First Coast was a 4/20 email stating that our purchase did not qualify for the Extended Warranty listing 7 reasons none of which made any sense to
I called First Coast Climate Control because they had an A rating on Angie’s List and this was the best decision. Rasheed called when he was on his way and arrived on time. He was extremely polite and professional. He took the time to not only explain what the problem was but also what further maintenance we could do to extend the life of our a/c unit. He did not try to sell me a new unit as other companies have in the past. We had the capacitor replaced and purchased the maintenance plan for just over $200. I am going to call the office and request that Rasheed be our technician for future visits. I will definitely recommend First Coast Climate Control to everyone who needs their a/c serviced or repaired.
