We recently had a sudden significant leak in our home, which needed to be diagnosed and repaired ASAP. Sensing the urgency in my voice, Ariana worked her magic and Brian appeared a short time later. Luckily, Brian made quick work of it and helped us avoid considerable damage. Brian was very personable and did an outstanding job! Thank you, Firkus Plumbing!
I had another company come and look at our water heater two different times. They found nothing wrong. They merely told me I should keep it on hybrid mode (there are three modes that ALL should work). We had nothing but problems with this brand new water heater for over a year. Luckily, Brian and his co-worker came out and were very professional, located the problem quickly, explained it to me, and we are now getting a new water heater. I can't tell you how much I appreciate their work! Thank you!
Super happy customer. Main water line leaking. Jason and Jonathan came out to analyze the problem and proposed new line to avoid future problems . Quick response and job completed in a very timely manner with attention to detail and made sure to leave a finished look ; backfilled and cleaned up without any debris or dips in the ground. Excellent communication and customer service. Thank you Jason, Jonathan, John and Lorisa for a job well done so quickly, putting my mind at ease and reasonably priced.
I was delighted with the service I received from Firkus Plumbing. They responded very quickly to my plumbing problem, with courtesy and professionalism. Any questions or concerns were immediately addressed and they went above and beyond to make sure I was completely satisfied.
Firkus Plumbing and Heating performed all aspects of work needed to connect my septic system to the city sewer, including decommissioning the septic system. They did an excellent job in a timely and professional manner, disturbing the property as little as possible. I couldn’t be more pleased with how everything, including all the permits was taken care of. I highly recommend these folks and will call on them for future plumbing and heating needs.
The reviews seem to be polarized - either people love them (employees & family?), or hate them. I called to get someone out to look at my hybrid water heater. They sent Jason out. Turned out they were not an authorized Rheem repair office, like I thought (could be my bad for not being clear enough in the initial conversation). Jason didn't really know as much as I had hoped & was on the phone with his friend who knew more about Rheem water heaters than him. He then talked to Rheem directly, who needed him to give them some voltage measurements. Not sure how things played out exactly, but he said he would get an answer & get back to me. A month later, I called their office, but Jason was out. I asked that he call me back - he didn't. I called Rheem & they told me of their conversation with Jason & that they still needed the voltage measurements. I called Firkus Pluming back again a couple weeks later. Still not in the office & still hasn't called me back. Seriously???? At least they didn't bill me, as they probably knew where the invoice would go.
I didn't actually get to use their services, but I did get very fast and courteous responses, answering all of my questions. My time line just didn't match with theirs....not their fault. I will try them again!

Firkus, Sr. & wife ran a "tight ship" for many years with solid service & excellent follow-up. Current company policy (Jan., 2020) is a joke. Sons are absolutely hapless with follow-up/return of phone calls, and verbal promises to do same. Waited 5 days for return of phone call that was promised "before same day's close of business; and waited 3 weeks for a repair estimate that was $600 more than competition...... who inspected, estimated & performed work within 3 business days. Firkus handles plumbing issues at my restaurant Flatbread Pizza in The Old Mill. They are always on time and professional. The guys and gals at Firkus are a class act all the way.

Paid 2.5k to have them redo some plumbing at my house the employees were very lazy and still charged me for the time sitting around. After the job was done I had water coming out of the foundation of my house from pipes being hooked up incorrectly. When I asked them to fix this they gave me a flat out no and still charged me for many days worth of work when the employees were maybe at my house for 2 hrs at a time. I am very disappointed in this company because they were recommended to me by a good friend and I feel like I was totally taken advantage of even though I'm poor and just had my first kid.
I've only talked to these people on the phone. Extremely nice! They are servicing the place where I work and I've been extremely impressed by their customer service.
Great employees proved to be honest
I have always used Firkus Heating and repair they have always called, showed up on time and the techs have always been nice cleaned up after they were done. I am very sad to find they no longer do homes.
Had plumbing issue - husband called Saturday August 11 and was told $172 per hour and someone would call in 20 minutes- three hours later he called again and was told same thing! In the meantime we couldn’t use water / toilets and had grandkids visiting. No calls - nothing! Got someone else who actually called back and showed up - early! Fixed our problem efficiently. Firkus Plumbing called back all right - on Monday August 13 and didn’t explain or apologize. Have an emergency- don’t waste your time!
We hired Firkus to install a toilet and lav in our basement and change out a toilet upstairs...they were the absolute best to work with! The guys were so kind and efficient. We decided we needed to add a wall in the basement mid project and they graciously agreed to come back to put the toilet in. Honestly - this is the company and crew you want taking care of you. The best, period.
