Jacob came by today for some basic maintenance. I was scheduled just a few days after my initial call despite that fact that August is prime AC maintenance time and I'm sure Jacob and his crew are very busy. Despite that, Jacob was friendly and professional. He did the work quickly, efficiently, and for a very reasonable fee.
I have known Jacob Miller, the lead technician for EvenFlow Heating and Cooling for more than a year, when he came to install a new central AC and Furnace at my home in Round Rock, TX after being assigned for an AC repair by Choice Home Warranty. Recently my almost brand new AC unit wasn't cooling as expected and I called Jacob for an inspection and he agreed upon a $45 service fee to come look at the issue while my tenant was at home. During his visit he cleaned the drain pipe and filled 2 lbs of Freon in my AC unit, without informing me or asking for my consent for the repairs. Two days later I get a call from his office from Misty asking for $450 in repairs which I never agreed to. The very next day I get a call from Jacob asking me to make the payment or he threatened to go back to my place to remove the 2 lbs of Freon he filled in my AC unit. Couple of days later I get messages from Jacob stating that he will put a lien on my property if I don't make the full payment of $450. As of today my tenant is still not satisfied with the performance of the AC unit as its not cooling as expected and Jacob wants the whole $450 for the invoice he sent over. The whole experience dealing with Jacob the second time has been unprofessional as he was threatening and used the F word during our conversations. I have made every attempt to compensate him genuinely but have failed. I have never ever posted a negative review for any contractor on google or any other site for that matter. However, I am obliged to post it this time as I don't want others to go through a similar experience with EvenFlow heating and cooling.
This is insane, my air conditioning went out also and i have choice home warranty company as well, Jacob came out and said my unit was too old and recommend to replace the whole unit that it wasn't going to be covered by the warranty company, when I told him to check for the problem not just telling me that unit was old, he did nothing and left, does even flow and choice home warranty have a deal where they don't take care of the clients, I had called other company to come out and inspect, they said I was low on freon and fixed the problem in 30 minutes then checked out my whole unit and it's blowing COLD AIR now, even flow and choice home warranty is a definitely a rip off, don't do business with them, I am considering reporting both companies to Better Business Bureau
Jacob was sent out to my home by Choice Home Warranty, on 4/28. Upon arrival Jacob spent a few minutes trouble shooting found a wire out by the condenser was broken. He then called me and told me it was not covered by the warranty company and wanted to charge me $195.00, to fix the break. I told him no and so he got his stuff and left. He did not even put the A/C cover back on. This repair took me 5 min a pair of side cutters and some electrical tape. This company is a rip off!!! Don't do business with them.
