Epic as in epic failure! Chris, the owner of this company, clearly lacks integrity and professionalism. Thursday morning he scheduled to come to my home and service my air conditioning between 9:00 and 10:00 a.m. Saturday. He was a no-show. It is now 10:30am, and he finally responded to a text message. I had to call him and he told me he was not coming and he was not dealing with the warranty company. Shame on you Chris! If it was possible to leave negative Stars this guy qualifies.
Chris is the man. Top notch service provider. My go to for good ol’ Idaho customer service. Don’t mess with anyone else.
Started off good, Chris came by on short notice which was appreciated. Turned out to be a relatively simple fix by replacing the capacitor and took about 15 minutes or so (cost $79 for the diagnosis and $210 for the capacitor). Told me a "hard start kit" would help out with the compressor so I took him up on that (cost $275). Did not have the kit with him but would come back at a later date and install. We were set for the following Tuesday but never showed. Set a new date for about a week away cause I was going out of town. Called while I was out of town, so that didn't work. When I got home the hard start capacitor was on my doorstep in it's packaging. I have been home for about a week now, left a message that I was home and nothing. So I decided to install the hardstart kit myself. Went onto youtube, lots of people with videos on how to install. Looked up the kit I had on my doorstep (cost from Amazon 14.99) took me 2 minutes to hook it up! Two wires that slide onto the AC unit capacitor. SO that is $15 bucks for the part and $260 to install in 2 minutes...so roughly $7800 an hour.....not bad. Still have not heard from Epic Heating and Air. This is a bummer because I like to use small companies, I feel like you get better pricing and better service but unfortunately that wasn't the case this time. I know they have decent reviews and that is why I called them, maybe I fell off the schedule somehow and they forgot about me? But I still feel $275 for the hardstart kit is a bit steep for how little work it takes to install. 7/25, still no callback after I left a message to call me. That is the reason I decided to install myself. It only takes a minute to call and schedule a date. You still charged me $275.00 for the kit with labor. because I had to installed the kit, is there a refund for the labor? It is just simply a poor business practice to do what you did.
Our a/c went out during the hottest time in years! No one else could get out here for at 3 days. Chris showed up in one hour! He was professional, efficient, and fixed the issue! Highly recommend Chris and Epic Heating & Cooling. Thank you, Chris!
I am a Realtor and have used Epic several times. Chris is always right on time and extremely well priced. When my air conditioner in my personal house stopped working he came right out and got us up and running again! I would highly recommend Epic Heating and Air.

Chris is awesome. We had him service our heating and a/c system and not his fault but a week later our ac went on the brink. I called Chris at 830 at night in a panic and he was able to get to our house the very next day. Truly felt valued. Was reasonably priced and fixed same day. Will definitely recommend and use in the future

Excellent service. Was at our house within 20 minutes of calling, to fix an AC unit in July. We were desperately hot, and Chris the technician was professional and fast and fixed the problem effectively. Outstanding service and prices.
We had Chris come to our house late at night when we smelled gas in our Garage. He found the problem very quickly. We had him replace our aging furnace, AC unit & water heater that were all over due for replacement. He did a nice & clean install, takes pride in his work and kept us up to date on what he was doing. we had him make several trips to our house to help us out while we were having construction done our house & he was very understanding & accommodating. Not enough positive words to describe our experience with Epic. Chris was very honest when describing our issues and options and and was very clear on pricing, which was extremely reasonable and much less than i was expecting! He had us up and running in no time. So, if i could give more stars i would in all areas. Fast, reliable, affordable, friendly, professional. I WILL be referring him to anyone and eveveryone i can! THANK YOU CHRIS!
Chris from Epic Heating and Cooling saved the day! Our AC went out yesterday afternoon July 3rd...and he stopped by and helped me do a diagnostic and replaced the part needed on the 4th of July, no less!
