Tech called 15 minutes before showing up. Pleasant and knowledgeable. Checked unit in attic ( 5 minutes)than Freon in AC ( 10 minutes) , added 2lbs.? @ $90 per pound AND $150 service fee !!! + tax Total = $350.00 🤨 amount of the service fee was never mentioned when making an appointment or at any other time until it was time to pay.was looking for a new company to use for service going forward with my two houses . I’ll be using someone else !
They replace my combination heat/AC unit this week. They were responsive, professional and competed the job in less than a day. Most significantly they were much cheaper for the same unit than three other highly rated HVAC contractors.
Temperatures outside were over 90 degrees. My A/C units (2) were set at 72, but keeping the temperature to around 76 to 77. I knew I needed some refrigerant in one of my units. I normally use Environmental Heating and Air and have always been pleased with the service, but I just happened to see an A/C guy at my neighbor's house and thought to myself, "let's get the unit fully charged...after all, what could go wrong?" The man came over and cleaned both units, Put refrigerant in one unit, then informed me that he did not have voltage on one unit outside and would have to look at the blower in the attic. He was back and forth multiple times, asking me to change the thermostat when he was outside and asking me to check the outside units when he was inside. After about 3 hours of "work" he informed me that he would have to bring an electrician in the next day to rewire from the attic to the outside unit with no power. He also said that I would need a wireless thermostat to make it work. When he left the one unit was blowing, but later I found that he had jumped the blower to always run (Hot air). Our house temperature went up to 88 degrees. I told him to just not come back! I called my reliable Environmental Heating and Air at 9:00 on Friday July 3rd (everyone is usually off, but they had Norm..my favorite service man on call) Norm came in and found 1. the other guy had re-wired both units so that there is no way they would have worked. 2. the other guy had unplugged the condensate pump, which stops the A/C and had not told me about that. Norm assessed everything, fixed it and had my A/C going within 1.5 hrs. I will NEVER let someone else other that Environmental Heating & Air work on my A/C again!
Have always had great service from Enviro-NC. I try to recommend them to everyone I come across who needs a new system. They are very reasonable in their pricing.
John, Kevin and Zack were amazing! They did a great job with replacing my existing units, and also upgraded my A/C and heating from 1 zone to 3 zones. Professional and clean. I am pleased with the outcome, and highly recommend them!
We just had Environmental heating & cooling replace our heating system. They did a fantastic job and we would use them again if needed. The owner John was involved in the entire process from coming over to give us a quote to reviewing the work his technicians ( Zach & Alex) did. I also found their labor and equipment costs to be very reasonable compared to quotes I got in the area. They have even filed our warranty paper work for us to make sure we are covered by the warranty should we need it.
This is my second purchase of a replacement unit from Enviro-NC. They are the best in the business! I received other quotes to do my due diligence for such a large purchase. Both times Enviro-NC was the most responsive and offered the best value. John offered me exactly what I needed at a fair price. Kevin and Zack were the installers for my new unit. These guys were prompt, courteous, and completed the work in a timely manner. There are a lot of Sharks in this business; avoid getting bitten by buying from this trusted group.
We had Environmental come out and look at the HVAC system that we bought with our house. We had been told by someone else we would need a new unit, John came and accessed the unit and informed us it had more life in it. They cleaned it up and saved us lots of money! The unit is running wonderfully now thanks to Environmental! They also fixed some duct work that was not attached in the attic and installed all new vents and returns. We are very happy with Environmental and appreciate the transparency and fully informing us about everything we needed to know about our system. Highly recommend them!
When I lost heat on the weekend, technician Jason came to evaluate heat pump. Motor was gone so he got permission to go buy a space heater to give some warnth thru the weekend. Alex and Zach did a great job of installing new unit. I highly recommend this company to meet your HVAC needs.
This is the second time I’ve use this company for the replacement of an old unit. The first time a few years ago, they gave me an estimate and they had my AC unit replaced within 48 hours. Fast forward to a few years later when we move to a new house with a unit that is now over 24 years old. It finally quit and my family was very cold inside our house. I called them along with four other companies to get estimates and they were the best service and price as far as the estimate process goes. When I came to the day of replacement, the guys showed up and immediately got to knocking out the project. I offered the installers water and let them know that they could come inside at any point to use the restroom. They were still extremely professional and knocked and asked permission to come inside whenever they needed to while working on replacing my gas pack. The two installers were very quick and professional and were very nice to answer any questions that I had. Even though they had to make some noise while installing a new unit, obviously, I could barely tell that they were there the majority of the time which is helpful when you have two young children napping in the house. It was great to have them finished a little ahead of schedule and almost immediately have my house warm again! Lastly, the sales person John is one of the most honest, helpful, and insightful sales people that I’ve met. He was more than willing to answer any questions I had when deciding on two different brands. When I contacted him post install with a few questions he answered with promptness and even checked up on us the following week to make sure everything was going well. Let’s be honest, nobody likes having to buy big things like this unexpectedly, but I have no problem spending my money with this company. They are honest, and straightforward. I highly recommend them for any AC/heating unit issues you may need.
I've lived in Cary since 1990. I've gone through quite a few service companies. This is the one that I have found to be the most reliable, knowledgeable and efficient. When I needed a new Furnace and AC three years ago they were the company I turned to. Today I needed a evaporator coil replaced, things break. Thanks to their Service technician Norman the issue was spotted soon enough and I got the job under warranty. Today Alex and Zach came out with the part and in two hours the job was complete. The Owner/Manager's name is John, HE WILL TAKE GOOD CARE OF YOU.
As a Property Manager, I'm constantly in need of a good HVAC service who is quick, does quality work, and most of all competitively priced. Environmental Heating and air and all the office staff are friendly, experienced, and reliable. Thanks to John for all you've done for me and I look forward to future years of business together.
Please don't use this company. They came out on two different occasions and were not able to fix our air conditioning after taking a week for us to get an appointment, and then still charged us. After the two appointments, we hired someone else and he was able to fix the problem immediately. Additionally, they were extremely late to the second appointment and when I called to check to see if they were still coming, the woman who answered was extremely rude and told me they would get there when they get there...
I had a great experience with Environmental Heating & Air on the replacement of our HVAC system. John the owner of the company was extremely helpful when looking over our old HVAC system, and answering any questions we had along with providing us a quote on several different units. I chose to go with a Trane system, and they were the best in pricing, and right on time with installation. The installation crew John has is very courteous, knowledgeable and above expectations on making sure everything was done right.
They did three replacements for me and on one job we had to have the inspector come back five times because they couldn't get it right, and on the second job they absolutely butchered the basement ceiling and the brick facade in two places. Third one they never scheduled the inspection so who knows what's wrong with that one. Stay away!
So we've been using John and team for our AC work for over three years now (repairs, checkups, and two major installations), and they've done a fantastic job every time. Recently, we had our furnace fail, and despite being incredibly busy, they were able to diagnose the problem, give us a quote for a new furnace, and install a new one within two days. And their prices were very fair too; in fact we shopped around and all other quotes we received recommended we replace our AC unit in addition to the furnace. I brought this up to John, and he told us it wasn't necessary and said we shouldn't have to buy anything more than what we need. Alex and Zack (who were very friendly) also tuned up the HVAC unit we bought three years ago; they noticed a rattling issue and fixed it without creating a separate work order. All in all, working with this company is great. You get the expertise and bandwidth of a large operation combined with the friendliness and honesty of a small one.
Great customer service from the beginning to the end. Quality of work was excellent and cost was affordable. I highly recommend this company and team!
Called for an estimate. Came out, Technician never called or emailed the quote after repeated request to get the quote.Update-This was a new install quote, the technicians name was John. Check your records for 2/28-3/4-3/12-3/28. After seeing the response from the owner I have sent him a picture of the business card he left with me. Either they are willfully misrepresenting the facts or not keeping up with their own appointments.
I have to hand it to John and his crew, Alex and Jason, (two great guys) for doing a wonderful job of replacing my upstairs heat/air unit. I could tell they were busy over the last couple of weeks trying to meet the strong demand for their services, but when my day finally came it was done very professionally and efficiently. I based my hiring of them on the great reviews and now I'm adding one myself. Use them, you won't be sorry.
What an amazing company. Our 15 year old gas furnace went out recently and I tried all the tips online to get it going again, with no luck. Although the company had a small driving fee because we live about an hour away, it was so worth it. I was convinced that I'd have to get a new furnace because of its age and because we had several bills due, haha. However, Enviro-NC only had to repair a switch. The repairman was professional and honest. He could have told me I needed a new furnace, and I wouldn't have questioned it. But he didn't, so Environ-NC has my business from now on. I just hope not to see them for awhile, no offense:)
