Efficient Air and Heat is the best in the trade! Would not use anyone else.
John and JD Mathis have been our “go to” air guys for years!! They are very responsive to texts and calls and always get our issues fixed quickly and efficiently!! The a/c went out today in this 105+ degree Texas heat and JD had us fixed up and the air cooling right away! Cannot recommend them highly enough!
Mr. John provided service during the time the temperature was very hot. Even if it was last minute call on a Friday afternoon, he came. To this we are extremely grateful. We will be customers for life. We will be recommending their services to family and friends… Thank you so much!

Our a/c went out on a Sunday when Texas decided to turn the heat up. Monday morning, I reached out, and they sent a tech out by noon! I was ecstatic to get same day service, to say the least!! Turns out the capacitor had gone out, and he had one on the truck! Not even 10 mins later, we had a/c again! Needless to say I have their number now saved in my phone and know who I'll be calling for all future a/c maintenance and repair needs!! Thank y'all so much!!!
Little John was very nice and professional. Repair work was done quickly and efficiently. I would not hesitate to use this company again, and most likely will.
If you need someone to service or repair your HVAC system, I CANNOT recommend this company high enough! John is always friendly, on-time, detailed... just use them! You won't regret it.
I can’t give enough praise to this company and JD. They were able to come out same day and was actually here within 2 hours of me calling. He was very professional, knowledgeable, and walked me through what was the issues and how he was solving them. He was very reasonably priced. I hope I don’t have to call anyone for A/C repairs anytime soon but if I do it will be these guys again.
We had an issue with our AC, late at night and on the weekend. John came out and was able to fix it within an hour so we didn’t have to go without. Couldn’t have asked for better service!
TL;DR - John came to check out my system. He was curteous, prompt, and did not try to upsell me on anything. This is a great family owned company with fair prices. Prior to today I only ever used my dad for my HVAC needs. It's been quite a handful of years since he passed away so it's been a while since anyone other than myself has looked at my system to the tune of seven years. One because I am knowledgeable and capable of doing my own PM. Two, because I just don't trust anyone else to be honest with me. After having some issues the other day with the AC not keeping up, I decided it was time to have someone give it a look to check all the things I don't know to check myself or simply don't have the ability to. I knew there was nothing major wrong, but I was wanting peace of mind that there wasn't a more serious problem lurking, that needed to be addressed. So, I asked around and got a reccomendation from a friend. When I called, I was listened to, and asked a few basic PM questions (had I checked filters or cleaned coils) to which the answer was YES. He told me thier schedule was kind of packed, but still had an a avilibilty for me NEXT DAY. I know this field, I grew up around it, that is crazy that he could work me in that fast during Texas summer. Very pleasent and polite. John came out to check everything out. He was on time, courteous, professional, and was not bothered by me wanting to ask questions or look over his shoulder at times. He checked everything I wanted him to check plus a few things I didn't know about. He ended up replacing a capacitor that hadn't totally failed but was in the process of dying. Admittedly this is something I could have checked and done myself, but the point was to check everything out. Luckily, nothing else was wrong with the system, other than some rust on the unit, indicating it will eventually need to be replaced (that unit is like 14 years old) but right now there's no point because it's working and there are no leaks. We have used Efficient Air & Heat several times in the past few years for problems with our AC / Heat units. In every case, they have provided excellent and timely service. I recently called on a very busy cold weather day because our indoor fan unit had failed. John answered the phone quickly. He let me know that although they already had a full schedule, he would send help sometime during the day. In addition, he gave me suggestions on steps I could take to discover if I could “reset” our system until help could arrive. His son actually arrived at our home within an hour and quickly diagnosed and repaired our problem. The price for the repair was unbelievably fair. This is a quality company, run by an excellent businessman who goes far above and beyond to serve his community (Saginaw area) and surrounding area. The level of service provided is five star. We needed an out-of-the-box solution to a ducting problem. Your service technicians seemed to really enjoy the challenge.! Your techs were knowledgeable, efficient and polite. They cleaned the work area afterwards.Would definitely recommend them.
After nearly 2 weeks of trying to find someone to install a new package unit on a rental property, I stumbled upon Efficient Air & Heat. It's an odd unit, not widely used, where everything is outside & connects to the homes duct work. It's also apparently hard to find right now, during this plandemic. I've owned rental property for over 3 decades & thought I had plenty of contacts, but no one could find one in Texas. John Mathis found one the first day he started searching & had it shipped immediately from Tennessee. That aside, I've had a lot of systems installed over the years & this sounds a strange description, but it was a thing of beauty. Everything aligned perfectly & snug to the house. It looked almost too good to be on this old house. The unit also runs almost silently. I had to ask if it was still on when we got inside, because I couldn't hear it running. Efficient Air & Heat has moved to the top of my list as who to call for HVAC service. Thank you John Mathis.
Referred by a friend who used their services in the past. Called on a Sunday afternoon; scheduled a visit later in the afternoon. Coils were rusted and Freon had leaked. Added more Freon and would provide a repair and new equipment estimates. Received the estimates the next morning. Very responsive to email and text questions. Shared that the Freon did not hold and we had no AC through the night. They came back to the house in the early evening with two portable AC units to hold us over until the new equipment installation date, which was scheduled for Friday. Scheduled for Friday between 7:00am and 7:30am. Arrived on time and got right to work. Completed the installation and testing by 11:30am. Reviewed warranty paperwork, set up the WIFI thermostat and IPhone app. We had cold air blowing! I highly recommend Efficient Air and Heat. The owner is professional and knowledgeable. His son is very focused on the tasks at hand, respectful and professional too. There was a third person who had these same characteristics. They did not charge us for the use of the two portable AC units, which were brand new. They went beyond expectations by providing those units. What a great level of customer service!
