My job was an exceedingly difficult and apparently a highly complicated one as a result of very bad work from two previous air conditioning firms. The first thing that I would say about Earth core is that they are very technically competent. Showed when they said they were going to show and they did the work that they said they were going to do on time and at the price specified. They followed up to make sure that all was well hard to be more pleased.
I would confidently recommend Earth Core. I found them to be responsive, reliable, flexible, personable and knowledgeable. Initially, due to an address mix up on my part, the service call was not completed as scheduled. Not realizing my error I called the company irate and the owner Luca got back to me right away. Rather than make excuses he made arrangements to come early the next morning himself which was a Saturday. It really was all positive from there. They sent a timely estimate, they spoke extensively to my insurance company and then completed the work as scheduled. When the unit did not immediately work, the tech spent a lengthy amount of time troubleshooting to find the issue which was another part in the inside unit that could not have been foreseen. The part was ordered and the job completed within a few days. Additionally, the pricing is fair as the estimate and insurance allowance were very close together. Luca and his team were a pleasure to work with.
The technician came in and said he will charge $115 per hour and 2 hours minimum. He showed up at 9.15. I showed him my Condensation pump that was making noise and my water boiler that needed a pipe change. After 15 mins at 9:30 he went to get the pipes for boiler. He came back at 10:30. And at 11 he came to me saying that the boiler is fixed and gave me a invoice of $470. His explanation was that he started from his home at 8 and was at my house till 11 so he charged 3 hours @ $115 per hour and hardware cost and tax. So for a $50 labor and hardware i was supposed to pay him $470. When asked about pump noise he said it is fixed for now, and it needs a pump replacement. So basically he dint fix the pump noise, on the contrary after he left, the pipe from the pump started leaking and since then i m manually draining water. I talked to his supervisor and paid him 2 hour rate, but they never fixed my primary issue, instead they made it worse. I will never recommend them to any one. Worst ever experience, Will never do any business with Earth Core again. I am surprised how they have got rating of 5. It is misleading. Please dont trust it. See attached picture. He technician broke the pipe and dint even inform. Left it hanging there.
