Almost 2 hours late. Took days to get an initial response. Not professional, walked in our home without properly being notified to do so-just knocked once and let himself in and walked around our home like he owned the place. I am very thankful I chose to print off a contract from the internet and made him fill it out because he did not have one. His price changed from $1,000 to $1,200 last minute causing us to be short on the money to pay him so paid $1,000 and owed $200-and my husband helped do half the job!. This was all around the holidays 2020-he said he would be in touch for the other $200. Been waiting for his call. Got a call almost 4 months (today-03-20-2021) later saying we only paid $900 and owed $400, my husband said no I paid you $1,000. Jason said he couldn’t find his invoice right now and my husband said we still have ours, we just have to pull it out, just got a lot going on right now-should get to it next week. THANK GOD for having the inclination to print out a contract and make him sign and get a receipt. DO NOT DO ANYTHING WITH JASON /DRYKE PLUMBING without a contract- specifically stating service to be provided and agreed upon price. The contract wasn’t filled out until after services so had no proof he agreed previously over the phone to do work for only the $1,000 (3hrs of work-and my husband did half of it with him) and if you pay in cash GET A RECEIPT!!!!!!!
Our sewer was backing up into our basement and we called Dryke Plumbing to help out. He was EXTREMELY late (lucky we work from home), talked all about other updates we could make to our house which had NOTHING to do with plumbing and the comments were quite rude. Made my husband help carry his machine to our basement because his partner just didn’t answer his phone or show up to the job. He spent about a few minutes trying to clear the drain and the claimed our line to the street needed to be replaced. He recommended a construction company to do it for us and get this.... he even called that company and had them call us before we could even get a second opinion (sounds pretty sketchy to me). Well I’m SOOOO happy we got a second opinion because the next plumber got our sewer opened up just fine!! What a waste of $185. I would never recommend Dryke Plumbing! STEER CLEAR!!!
Jason is excellent to work with. He is very knowledgeable and helpful. After some diagnosing he found that the Gas valve on my boiler was not opperating correctly. After a quick trip to a plumbing supply store I was up and running! Thanks Dryke!
Answered the phone right away, which is usually a good sign of reliability...made an appointment to get a quote for the next day, he no showed so I contacted him 20 minutes after the hour he gave me and he said he got busy and set an appointment up for the next day...he never showed for that one either, tried texting him, got no response. Probably a good plumber, wouldn’t waist my vacation time hoping he has improved his customer service skills.
Very pleasant initial phone consultation, I was hopeful. I took 1.25 hours of vacation time to leave work and meet at our home to go over options for a basement bathroom. Never showed, I called 1/2 hour after the appointment was to have started and left a message. No one has ever called to this day with an explanation or an apology etc. I understand things happen but my message, 2 phone #'s and an address to find me- this is unacceptable. If you're too busy or didn't want the job- be upfront about it, don't waste my time! Bad business practices and lack of respect. I suggest looking elsewhere for someone that will value your business.
FIND ANOTHER PLUMBER FIRST Dryke Plumbing was recommended by HomeDepot to replace my hot water heater. I was told by HD the work would be done on Wednesday. I got a call from Jason Tuesday evening telling me he couldn't do the job until Thursday and gave me a window of time between 12:00 - 2:00. I took the day off work so I would be here. He TEXTED me (wasn't even professional enough to call me) at 5 minutes to 12 and said his technician was sick and he wouldn't be able to replace my water heater until Monday. Honestly??? He didn't find out his tech was sick until 5 minutes before he was supposed to do a job?? I called the HomeDepot service company and all they said was "I apologize for the inconvenience" and recommended I contact another company to install my water heater! This company is very unprofessional and unreliable. I can't say anything about the kind of work they do because they never did the work. My recommendation is to go with a better company.
Jason Dryke is one of the nicest, easiest to talk to plumbers I've ever dealt with in my 23 years as a home owner. Jason replaced my hot water heater in a prompt and professional manner and at a fair price. I highly recommend Drake plumbing. Give him a call. You will not be disappointed.
Earlier this summer Dryke plumbing came to my home and redid my plumbing from the late 1940's. It took them a few days . Did a good job and cleaned up their mess.. I now have pfaucets that pour out water rather than a trickle. No more rusty water and both my dishwasher and washing machine take at least 20 minutes less time to do a load. I have two outside faucets that finally work. They also recommended a very nice guy to replaster where they had to cut into the wall and ceiling. I wish I had called them yrscago. They were also reasonably priced as I had gotten several other bids.
Very friendly and professional company. A 4 hour job turned into 7 hours due to no fault of their own. They took the time to fix the issues and still charged us the quote they gave for the 4 hour job. Highly recommend this company for your plumbing needs.
I am shocked at the other bad reviews. My experience was phenomenal! Communication turnaround was fast and efficient, the work completed was timely and professional, and the cost was reasonable. The technician even did some additional work at no cost. I will definitely call them again!
I'll start by saying we've had them about 2-4 other times at our place with no serious complaints...welp here's why they have now lost our business. They came to help unhook a gas dryer, put on a new valve and clean vents- a one man job but they sent two guys and charged us $250 for an hour of work and one of the guys talked to my husband for a chunk of time...then when we asked them to return to hook up the new dryer they showed up 1.5 hours late and charged us about $100 for a half hours work and didn't even give an invoice, just told my husband he needed to pay. So naturally we call to issue a conversation with management...I've now left 5 voicemails with the owner, Jason and talked to the office lady with no return call! Unprofessional, conflict avoidant and also just snakey business!
We contracted Drykes to fix a drain in our bathroom shower. It flowed great for about two weeks and now there is standing water and it will not drain at all. They already took our payment and now we cannot even get a phone call answered or a voice mail returned.
