Stephen was prompt and clear with communication, his work was extremely reasonably priced as compared with others, and he and his team did an awesome job removing a beast of a furnace and putting in a new one. Passed inspection with flying colors. Highly recommend these guys!
We wanted A/c added to our existing unit. Called three Co's one was insanely expensive even for the Peninsula, one was not so polite or pleasant even if the price was good, so we went with Dorst/HVAC. The entire team were on time, professional and went about their business like it was their own home, they delivered on their accurate estimate. After the first day you never have known they had been there , cleaned and tided up spotlessly. Second day finished up the main installation. Day three finished up the job as promised, everything worked flawlessly . The electrician Arsen electric-see sep review, was excellent running in new electric as needed. This was the most pleasant home improvement experience we have ever had. Highly recommend Dorst/HVAC no reservations.
Stephen and his front office staff are very organized. Doug came to our house to provide an estimate and was the only technician that went into our crawl space to gather information to provide an accurate estimate. We received the bid when promised within a few days. We booked them one to two months ahead. Doug and Eric did a solid job. They were professional, detailed and cleaned up after themselves. We were very pleased with the installation. Scheduling was perfect: started and finished on time.
Updating: Received an apologetic email with an offer to come today (next day). As a result moved up to 3 stars. However, was able to have another company lined up Original: Thing twice before you schedule with this company. Unless you have a standing contract for maintenance, they cancel on you! Not only do they cancel on you, they cancel last 10 minutes before the window of the appointment being over. What a horrible horrible experience. So much for relying on you guys!
We had asked Steve to perform a large and complex job - replace heater, install AC, and move all of this equipment to the attic from utility closet. To add to the complexity, the attic access was way too small and the attic space very limited. Some of the contractors I have asked for a quote, refused to even attempt to move equipment to the attic. Steve took on the job, and found a non-trivial solution that did not require an additional cost to us. The setup was done within promised timeframe, and with virtually no intrusion to our life. I think Dorst HVAC represents a perfect combination for a business you want to bring into your home - experienced, knowledgeable, professional - while still small enough to care about every customer.
The service I received was excellent. Doug came out, was very friendly & extremely knowledgeable and I was so impressed with the service he provided. He was much, much more thorough than Service Champions that I normally have service my a/c and heater, I cannot say enough about Dorst/Hvac, from the friendly conversation with Ana when I called to make an appt., to actually feeling real air flowing through my house before Doug left, I would highly recommend Dorst/Hvac to everyone. Thank you Dorst/Hvac for the best experience & excellent service, I feel like I have a brand new unit!!!
It was a hot sat morning at 6:30 when I called. Steve, the owner answered! He was at our home within the hour and by 8:30 we had our air conditioning working. He was terrific, professional and friendly. Had the capacitor replacement in his truck and made the switch on the spot. Highly recommend him.
