Our property management company acquired custom heating and air when out AC quit working. Dave has gone above and beyond to a. Get us up and running, but b. He has checked in or come by daily to double check things and make sure we are comfortable! This intense summer heat has been rough, but having Dave and his team go above and beyond has not only restored some of my belief in customer service, but given me a go to guy for friends, family or anything that may arise when it comes to heating and Air issues. We did have an issue with the compressor in our 2 yr old system and Dave did a great job getting a new one ordered and had it installed as soon as it arrived. I don't enjoy the heat and was pleased to have it up and running before the wicked heat arrives.
Dave replaced our system a couple of years ago with an affordable step-up from what we had. We just had a minor issue...dog chewed some wires. Dave came on a Saturday and fixed it. I would not hesitate to use him again.
Dave and his team were amazing to work with!!! We shopped all around the Treasure Valley to get a good idea of fair price and services. We ended up needing a whole new HVAC system installed (yuck), and they by far offered the most quality and affordability. They even made suggestions to help improve over all design for improved airflow and efficiency. They completed the work within a few days of the initial quote, just before the toasty 85 degree heat! If you're looking for a fair price that comes with top-notch service, I highly recommend Custom Heating & Air!

Installed a minsplit and diagnosed another flow issue. Work done was clean and professional. Will use this company for our HVAC maintenance. Reasonable and professional. Got the job done.
Our air conditioner stopped working and the 100 plus degree weather made it very miserable. We were extremely desperate for repairs and Dave Sorensen came out and fixed it in minutes. He even came out past 8 which no other hvac place I ever heard of would do that. Very very thankful and he is gonna be my first choice to call next time I run into any issues
Very prompt and professional
The other company's either blew me off until I canceled or quoted highway robbery prices. Dave came the same day I called, told me what was needed and what demo I could do myself to save on the cost. I was very happy with the price and the install was scheduled quickly and done on time.
He lives up to his company name. I bought a mini-split system and did all the leg work for prepping then I called Dave. He took the ball and ran with it and finished the install. He even was ready to help with lines or parts that I had overlooked or miss ordered. His prices are competitive and he knows what he is doing. Defiantly will call him over anyone else because of all this.
Custom Heating & Air Conditioning is an amazing company! We have used them numerous times over the past 10 years, for both our own home as well as my parents. Dave the owner is a fair person with excellent customer service. Recently the cold front hit (snow in spring?!?) & my parents heating went out he came right away and fixed the problem immediately. He replaced our water heater in an emergency. Dave stands behind all of his work. I can not tell you how nice it is to call a company you can count on! Over the years I have come to know Dave and his company are top notch I would highly recommend them.
Dave is a terrible business owner who uses other companies to do work for him and doesn't pay them. Would not recommend
Dave came out on his lunch hour, during a heat wave. When all the other guys were "too busy." Dave had very transparent pricing and even advised up front what the two most likely issues were and what they each would likely cost. He did as much as he could with no one home. , and then came back after hours to finish up the work. All without charging some ridiculous "after hours fee." Honest and competent, Dave will always be my HVAC guy from now on! Thanks Dave.
Don't count on Dave or his company to service your equipment warranty. He installed a furnace in my home less than a year ago. It began to malfunction and I had him come and take a look. He did very little diagnose the issue and spent most of his time acting put out and blaming the problem on everything but the furnace. He asked me to have the gas company come out and inspect their equipment which I did and since then he won't answer my calls and the one call he answered he again began blaming other things and ended up hanging up on me. Really terrible customer service!
Very Fast & Very Professional and knowledgeable at a fair price...I will definitelly use their services again! And I would recommend them to any one looking for a heating contractor you can count on.
