Completely Rude cursed on the phone complaining
Old Colony came to my home this morning to look at our heating system which was not functioning properly. They sent two men who after 10 minutes of looking at the boiler decided it needed to be replaced, for $8000. We had another company come for a second opinion 3 hours later - they fixed the system in the same amount of time.
Tech told me he would be there at 8am the next day. I set my alarm to be up before that. At 10 am I called to see where they were. He denied he said he would be there at 8 am and then said he called me and nobody answered. I was sitting by my phone the whole morning, no call was made. He was very rude and when I cancelled my appointment.
I left a message about getting a quote on installing central A/C. The owner calls back on my cell phone and is so rude. I explain that he called me. He eventually hangs up on me. If this is how he treats potential new clients I wonder how he treats existing customers. I am not going to find out. RUDE
Rude!! Tried to capitalize on our situation. Never again
We finished renovations on half of the bathroom before we realized we were going to need to make some changes to the plumbing. We called Cox and they came out to give us an assessment. Then they completed the work at the rate they promised and were so good about helping us make plans for routine maintence too. Great people.
Horrible!!!!! Run away from these crooks!!!!! Absolutely run away...
They replaced my Furnace and Central Air Conditioning in just a day and a half. They also threw in a new faucet installation at no extra charge. Everything with these guys is about making the customer happy. I will definitely use them again.
I'm so grateful to have found these guys! They were able to get my central air back up fast! Well, at least it was much faster than I thought it would be in the middle of the summer. You need to work with them.
My grandfather lives on his own just fine. We all take turns visiting, but really he's got this. To help him out we picked up a service agreement with Coxs Old Colony HVAC. They have been out twice now and are always so pleasant and helpful. They handle the maintenance of the system and we know he's good for another year.
They helped me resolve the problem with my heating and air conditioning unit, then they helped me arrange for regular maintenance, service calls, and have always been professional about it all.
It was a wonderful thing to have the service arrangement with this group. They have really been life savers for my family. They took care of everything when we needed them this year and they always are careful to keep the places they work clean.
Really weird company. They no showed on us THREE times with no call each time. Next!
I recommend finding somewhere else. Owner doesn't do what he says he will do. Don't take the risk.
UPDATE: After posting my original review, I received impolite phone calls from the owner, and a response to my review threatening to sue me for posting a negative review about my experience with the company (see below, and attached screenshot). He offered to refund part of what I paid him in exchange for my removal of the review, which I agreed to. I was told I would have the money by the last week of November, it is now Dec 10 and I've received nothing. I recommend finding somewhere better to take care of your home. ORIGINAL REVIEW: "Read the 1 star reviews before contracting this company. I was hoping to find a reputable heating and air contractor I could rely on for any HVAC needs and was hopeful with this company after seeing their the positive reviews. Unfortunately I should have read the 1 star reviews before I hired them. They did do a few things well -- they were prompt to reply and quoted $150 for a same day service call to diagnose and troubleshoot the issue, which seemed very reasonable. They were there for slightly over an hour and a half and were able to clean a few parts and get the system working without having to use any new parts or replace any components, which seemed great. Upon leaving, they said it would be $300. I expected them to charge slightly more than the $150 since they had been there for more than 1 hour, but $300 was incredibly high with no parts or components replaced. I believe their original intent was to quote low to get the work then bill much higher when leaving. It felt like a good old fashioned bait and switch. When I called Bill to discuss the billing he was aggressive and contentious, then proceeded to hang up on me. Very unprofessional to deal with, I recommend finding somebody else. I paid them for the work they did today, but will be finding someone else for future needs."
Always available to answer questions and delivered on time what was promised. Very professional.
I had just moved into a new house and had come to find out that my central air wasn't working. I called Old Colony to come out and look at it, and they were super fast about getting out here. He was extremely kind, and let me know exactly what was wrong and how it was going to be fixed. It was really fast service at a really reasonableprice!
They have great customer service and was able to answer all my questions professionally.

The company has really great customer service representatives. They were courteous and patient and answered all of my questions. They were also very detailed in making sure I knew what steps would be performed in order to restore my heating and air unit.
