Copper Cottage was hired to install the bathtub drain for my sister’s renovation in her basement. I’ve been doing most of the other work for her but we agreed a “professional” should handle the plumbing. Everything looked okay and even passed inspection. We had some trouble with the mortar bed when setting the tub so it was decided we would need to pull the tub completely out. Once I disconnect the plumbing from the tub it fell over, I’m no plumber but I don’t think it should have fell over like that. Initially I thought we may have broken it when setting and leveling but when I started feeling around for the other side of the break I couldn’t feel anything. Put my phone under there and started looking for where it broke off from. There was no hole or T connection for the pipe to fit. They had connected it to the tub but did not connect the other end to the sewage drain. They left it to drain straight into the foundation. I could not believe that a “professional” would make such a mistake instead it was pretty clear they just left it thinking no one would notice for a very long time. The weeping system would surely drain off the waste water fast enough to be unnoticeable. When we contacted them we were told the manager was unavailable and transferred to voicemail. Copper Cottage can fix it, refund the costs and do whatever to try and “make it right” but it still doesn’t change the fact one of their team did this. Plumbers and electrician’s work is something you will rarely see in your home. It’s assumed that they have done their job correctly and everything will be good because a “professional” performed the work. When the professionals are doing this level of work and charging premium rates then who can we trust?

Wow. I called this morning with a furnace issue. They were here within 6 hours of my phone call and have the issue fixed within 20 minutes of being in my home. The technician was friendly and knowledgeable and showed me how to prevent the issue in the future. I recommend copper cottage to anyone needing assistance with with their heating or cooling equipment. Extremely low invoice for the work that was done and education provided. We will not be working with any other company after the prompt, professional, and cost effective and work that was completed.

Again, would give zero stars if I could. They came back and "fixed" my AC...but again it has the same problem a month later. I cannot believe the low-quality of service I've received. Not sure who I can contact to get this resolved.

Would give zero stars if I could. They serviced the AC in my apartment once and apparently did not fix the problem because now it stopped working again. Same problem two weeks later :) Hopefully they'll get it right the second time around but I'm not holding my breath.

The only positive thing I have to say about copper cottage is they are prompt to visit the first time. But it didn't really matter to me since it took three visits to diagnose and fix the problem. They are also not good at communicating. The technician said he would get the part from the supplier and be back on Thursday to fix it. No one called and he didn't show up on Thursday. When *I* called *them* to file a complaint I was told it wasn't guaranteed to be there. Very poor customer service.

Days late to show up for the job. Job done incorrectly. Called to say the job wasnt done right and they say they will be back in a day or two. Weeks later still not back and because the job wasnt done correctly now I'm sitting with a $2,000 machine that is broke. Do not use this company.

I've used Copper Cottage twice now in the past couple of months. The first time was for an A/C general maintenance to make sure my A/C was running properly. The technician was professional and knowledgeable. Cost was a bit high, but not completely outlandish. The second time was for some general plumbing needs; installation of shut off valves, replacement of faucet cartridges due to leaking at handles, and general maintenance. Again, the technician was great and informative. Estimate was NOT provided up front of the work that was going to be completed. The technician did not have the parts on hand and had to order them. A week later or so, the technician returned and attempted to complete all the work as previously stated. There were two faucets that he was unable to fix due to the set screw being too corroded and would spin when attempting to loosen. He left a couple of faucets unfixed, which was understandable. Now, here comes my frustration. I received the bill in the mail a few days after the work was completed. The charge was almost $400, which seemed really high. Even more concerning was that I was charged for parts/labor that the technician was unable to complete due to the faucet screws being corroded and would spin when attempting to loosen. So, I thought no big deal. I will just contact the office and get the invoice corrected. I've called 4 times now trying to get a hold of some guy named Bill. Each time I have gotten through to the receptionist (Nice lady, Deb I believe is her name). She would take down my information and stated that she would pass onto Bill. Bill would never return any of my phone calls. So, I decided to stop in one Friday in hopes of being able to chat with him face to face. Surprisingly enough, I got my chance. I was able to talk with Bill, showed my invoice, expressed my concerns of work not being completed and being charged. He stated that he would need to talk with the field technician to get the details of

Our air conditioning stopped working during one of the hottest weeks in June 2017. We didn't yet know about Copper Cottage, so we called a few different companies in Sioux Falls and the surrounding area. The only company that was able to come out at that time said we needed to replace our unit to the tune of about $3500. We decided to get a second opinion, as the "service" person was not very professional and didn't spend much time on the problem. We called Copper Cottage because a friend had a great experience with them. They came out right away! Chris was great! He was courteous and professional. He fixed the initial problem quickly - and when we had a second issue come up the next day, he was out right away to fix it, too. All for a very reasonable price! Copper Cottage came to our air-conditioning rescue during the hottest week in June, when no one else would, was able to, or charged "an arm and a leg" to get the job done! Thank you SO MUCH!!

Our central air conditioning unit went out last night so I called Copper Cottage around 830 am this morning. 2 nice, professional gentleman came over around 11:00 am or so. They installed a new capacitor and took the unit apart and thoroughly cleaned it.When they got to our home it was already 80 degrees inside. Now we are comfortably cooling down as they repaired our a/c unit good as new! We will DEFINITELY call this company again for any future needs.
