I was very impressed with every aspect of my service call for my Carrier HVAC. The technician was very knowlegeable and informative, and did a thorough job checking out every aspect of my system. I highly recommend them.
Couldn’t have been happier with Cold Comfort and Nestor. He serviced our AC and addressed a couple of lingering issues.
I have hired Cold Comfort for two separate jobs in my home (two zones, separate issues). Both times I received fast service for diagnosis, proposals that fixed the problem without going beyond the necessary scope (at much lower costs than second opinions collected on each job), and prompt fixes within a couple days. Gabriel (owner) was available via email and text to coordinate the service. And the lead technician who fixed the issues, Jary, was professional, thorough, and clearly knowledgeable. Thank you for the great service!!!
Gabriel and the whole team at Cold Comfort were great. They replaced my furnace, AC unit, and hot water heater. My thanks to Fabio, Alex, Marvin Rosales, Klayener, and, especially, Ritchie, the crew chief for doing such a professional job. Ritchie always kept me informed of their progress and showing me how everything worked. The whole team was friendly and respected my house, covering the carpets and removing all the debris. I highly recommend them.
I had messaged on Yelp to schedule an appointment to have a regular AC tuneup done before the weather got too hot. They were busy for that week but had availability within 2 weeks so call in advance of your tuneups! $99 to come out. Nestor came promptly and was friendly and double checked all of his work. He helped us label our unit since it’s on the roof which was nice of him to do. Would use Cold Comfort again for servicing in the future!
Cold Comfort was communicative, thorough, and a pleasure to work for my Heat Pump installation. They took the time to explain the pros and cons of different models and the install team was polite, clean, and great and what they do.
Gabriel and Cold Comfort did an excellent job installing a new HVAC system and water heater in our house. When our furnace died, they were able to promptly come out and provide an estimate. Their cost was about 20% below other highly rated companies. Once we decided to go with them, they were able to schedule an appointment the following week for the install. The installation was completed in one day with all services up and running. They did a great job of protecting our house and cleaned up afterwards leaving no mess behind. They did discover that the previous water heater installation had incorrectly tied the vent into the furnace vent and were able to resolve that issue as well, with minimal additional cost. Gabriel did an excellent job keeping me informed and promptly replied to any email or text I sent out. Clearly he understands good customer service and was very professional in all of our interactions. I highly recommend Cold Comfort and will certainly use them again for services and any other issues that might come up.

I called and was able to get an appointment next day. The technician Jary was professional, personable and informative. He was able to quickly diagnose the problem and explain it in a simple and informative manner. They have honest pricing and I did not feel any pressure to pay for additional services/parts as with other companies. I would highly recommend them for any repairs and/or system maintenance.
Cold Comfort is an excellent company. Antonio is a straight shooter who gives you the facts, and explains what will work best for your home in detail. They installed our A/C unit quickly, efficiently, and they have a good service plan, too. I come from a family of general contractors, and I know a great company when I see one. Cold Comfort is a great company. Highly recommend them.
Our AC unit stopped working on the hottest of day of the year so far. I once again went to my goto--Yelp--and searched for a contractor with a very high number of 5-star reviews. Of all the quotes I was given for a technician to come out and assess out our unit, Cold Comfort HVAC Services charged the least. Not only that, but they responded to me within minutes of my requesting quotes and set up an appointment for the next day. The technician that came out, Gabriel, was friendly and courteous, very knowledgeable and did what he needed to to fix the AC unit. Our unit is back to cooling the house like normal. I would highly recommend Cold Comfort HVAC services for your HVAC needs.
I was very impressed with Cold Comfort. I've heard a lot of horror stories going around about HVAC companies misleading clients, but I had a very positive experience with Cold Comfort. I found out about Cold Comfort through a friend who said they were trustworthy with him, which is the #1 I look for in HVAC companies so I decided to give them a shot. They were very responsive and came out when they said they would. To make the long story short, something unexpected happened when the first tech people came out. At this point 99% of HVAC companies would probably try mislead and tell me I need a whole new unit, but Cold Comfort guys were honest and fixed the unexpected glitch at no cost to me. That goes a long way and, as a result, I would not hesitate recommending them to anyone. Thanks, Gabriel, I didn't get a chance to tell you this because I didn't know you were a co-owner, but I appreciate what you're doing for Ukraine (donating 1% of sales for Ukrainian humanitarian orgs).
They sent the tech out the same day, he arrived early, and fixed the problem quickly. Every other place I called could not send someone for 3-4 days. The tech, Nestor, was professional, friendly, and helpful in diagnosing and explaining the problem. I would use them again and highly recommend this company.
Excellent communication among all the staff I interacted with. Management has integrity and patience. The technical team that performed the installation are highly knowledgeable about the advanced and complex HVAC system I have in my home.
We cannot state just how much Cold Comfort helped us out after we lost heat in the winter. Would recommend them to anyone in the Gaithersburg area. Cold Comfort replaced our old HVAC equipment with a new Bosch system after an electrical fire destroyed our old equipment. The fire was on a Saturday night and Gabriel was already getting a quote together on a Sunday for us before we could even get in contact with the insurance company. He promptly came out, explained what they would do and even what he think happened to cause the fire in our old system. Ricardo came out with a team of 4 guys who were all extremely friendly and didn't waste time getting to work. Each of them took the time to explain various parts of the system to ensure we understood how to run it and provide proper maintenance so that the new system would last for years. Ricardo even pointed out a handful of concerns he had with some electrical wiring that had been cut before we owned the house and were still live so that we could remove it and keep our family safe.

Cold Comfort is A+. They installed a new A/C and heating system. Their bid was a significantly better deal than the competition, which enabled me to select a top of the line Lennox system, which came with an additional rebate. Gabriel, the owner, is great to work with and willing to answer many questions. John and the rest of the installation team did great work fitting the system into a compact townhouse laundry room. Highly recommended.

Long overdue review for this company. My first experience was receiving a free estimate for converting our home heating to gas furnace. Their quote was the second-most budget friendly of the 5 estimates we received. We ended up going with another business solely on cost even though the difference was marginal. Antonio was by far the most professional and in hindsight we should have went with Cold Comfort. When we were in the need of a new AC a year or so later, we again received 5 estimates and Cold Comfort's was the most-budget friendly. Gabriel was super helpful immediately and we moved forward with the work. Seeing how they handled our AC install made me even more disappointed that I had not gone with them for our gas conversion earlier. On the bright side, I now know who to contact and trust with any HVAC work we need. Everyone I've come in contact with at Cold Comfort whether in-person, over the phone, or over text has been super customer focused, friendly, professional, and most of all trust-worthy. They seem to be a company that values its customers and the quality of their work more than anything else. John also was extremely helpful when he came back out to our home to fix a wiring issue caused by another insulation company. Cannot express enough gratitude and accolades for my experiences with Cold Comfort. I highly recommend they be your top choice for any HVAC needs.
Great, efficient and quick service. install team was quick and clean. competitive price for new HVAC / Heat pump install. Nestor, the first tech at our house for initial work, was very friendly and knowledgable. We ended up with a new Lennox air handler and heat pump installed (our old one was 16 years old and many problems.) Antonio and Gabriel were quick to respond to questions. I would highly recommend these guys to anyone. Clean, tight installation.
