Our AC broke in the middle of a heatwave in August - the day our daughter was born. Our system was an old R22 unit, meaning there was no easy fix…we needed a whole new system. There’s a company with a whole fleet of vans driving around San Diego that we called first, figuring they’d be more likely than most to be able to squeeze us in. They could squeeze us in alright…to the tune of $30,000!!! What was even more appalling was that as soon as it became apparent to them they were losing the sale, they dropped their price to $24,000. That’s right, we were preparing to bring our daughter home from the hospital and they were using it as a money making opportunity. That company’s name rhymes with schmanderson by the way! Octavio of Climate Heating and Air Conditioning had done work for a friend. He came to our house on his wife’s birthday after hearing our dilemma. He gave us a quote under $10,000 and finished in record time. We couldn’t be happier with his work. A thousand thank you’d from a grateful family!!!
I highly recommend this company. They did work for us at two different locations and I will never call anyone else. I first called one of the big name companies in town because they know me. Big mistake. It seems that they now send their best people to the high rises and really big jobs. The tech that was sent from the big company did a whole lot of nothing. After that disappointing experience I was introduced to this company and I could not be happier. They take their time to diagnose and explain everything and the equipment has never worked better.
