Jay and Erin are great! I have a physical disability and am unable to adjust my thermostat. Jay and Erin went out of their way to update my thermostat with a newer model so that I could access it and adjust room temperatures through my computer setup. That was a huge game changer for me as I can now change temperatures myself instead of having to wait for others to make adjustments for me. Jay and Erin are competent, hard-working, and very thorough. I would gladly recommend them to anyone. I have worked with them for many years now and trust them completely with our heating and cooling needs.
I have know Jay Young for a long time. He serviced our home furnace and A/C when he worked for a local company and when he started Cincinnati Hometown Heating & Cooling I know I was one of Jay's first customers. I trust the work he does and he has always been very fair with his pricing. When he does the routine maintenance he goes over everything with me and makes sure I understand not only what he is checking but why. Jay is from the old school where he puts the customer needs first and will do everything the correct way to make sure your system is the best it can be. If you are looking for the best furnace & A/C service look no further.
If you are looking for a great heating and cooling company look no further. My air conditioner stop cooling. I called another local company I've used for years but never got a call until back until after I contacted Jay, and I'm glad the other company didn't call me back right away. My air conditioning unit is at least 22 years old. Jay solved my problem an was able to repair it, he is very knowledgeable at his craft. I will be buying a new unit eventually and Jay's company will be the one I use. Thank you Jay.
Our furnace motor went out for the second time in two years, this time during the dead of winter. We had previously gone with some of the “big guys” for general HVAC maintenance as well as the first motor replacement last year. The company providing maintenance (who installed the system for the builder and will remain nameless) was not thorough enough to identify a growing issue related to the humidifier; and the company that replaced the first motor did not take the time to find the root cause of the problem. When the replacement motor died we brought in a third company to diagnose the issue, and they were content to speculate as opposed to taking the time to confirm it. Rather than drop another $1000-plus without having peace of mind, we accepted a very strong recommendation to bring in Cincinnati Hometown Heating and Cooling. It was the best decision we could have made. Cincinnati Hometown was laser-focused on finding root cause, and they were successful in doing so after hours of grueling disassembly work. Their knowledge of HVAC systems was very obviously second to none in the area and everything was explained clearly to us. In the end, we elected to replace the entire furnace and air conditioning system because of the age and likelihood of future issues with the way it was improperly installed. The new installation process was the most impressive and high quality I have seen in ~20 years as a homeowner. Their attention to detail was representative of a higher level of care given to doing the job the right way -- without exception. There were several times when we were consulted on how something would be handled to ensure we would be satisfied. For instance, they even made sure we were happy with the way they were going to reconfigure our rock mulch area for the new A/C. I can’t speak highly enough of the workmanship and professionalism of this small business. 5 stars without hesitation.
Jay has done several jobs for us and is great at what he does. Very knowledgeable. He installed our new AC unit very quickly when it went out in the 90+ degree heat. He is professional and great at communication and follow up.
Jay installed a new HVAC system in our home last week and we could not be more pleased with the overall value and experience. Jay is a true expert and did so much more than give us new units. He spent so much time analyzing our home and how he could optimize EVERYTHING from the correct size unit, new ducts paths and connections, sealing leaks, upgrading filtration, surge protectors and so on. He was also extremely accommodating to our work and family schedules and made sure all his time at our home worked easily for us. Additionally he spent time explaining every piece of the unit, filed all manuals and paperwork on the unit, and finished the job paying attention to every single detail, even mulching around the outdoor AC unit. I'm super impressed with Jay's mastery with HVAC systems and I highly recommend!
