Very important…someone answered the phone! Made appointment and called that morning to inform running half hour late. Showed up to install sump pump. Very professional and informative. Happy to use again and give a good review.

Very poor experience for this company - For starters, this plumber overcharged me for travel time. They charged me for 1 hour and 30 minutes. The person who came to the house was here for only 1 hour and 7 minutes. I always time plumbers and electricians to the minute in order to avoid being overcharged. I contacted Chris Donnell's assistant, Lori. She said I had erroneously been charged for travel time, as my home is located just a few minutes from their location. They promised to issue me a credit but failed to do so, instead re-billing me for the entire amount months later out of the blue, therefore overcharging me by $21.25! In fact, I have Lori's e-mail right in front of me (which I had saved and printed), promising to credit me for this overcharge - and then she had the nerve to send me the exact same invoice again! Also, they failed to perform the work properly, leaving a smell of solvent under my cabinet. They did not correct or attempt to mitigate the problem, leaving me with no place to put my pots and pans except in the living room. Also, the plumber who came to the house was inexperienced; may have been just an apprentice; unsure. All in all, very poor quality work and was overcharged for the work on top of that. In summary, I would definitely avoid Chris Donnell Plumbing and Heating, opting instead for some of the other fine and customer service oriented plumbers in the York Maine area.
