5 stars is not enough for Josh and the team at Charest Heating and Cooling. Our furnace stopped working unexpectedly on the same night our new tenants moved in. We called Charest afterhours and Josh (the owner) was over and fixing it in under half an hour. He was extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and kind, and he had the problem fixed in less than 30 minutes. Thanks to him, our tenants had heat on their first night, and had no other issues! Josh and his team are amazing, I can not recommend them enough. They have earned my repeat business, personally and professionally, and my referrals to everyone!
Our AC system froze up for the first time ever. Called the number on Friday night (9pm) to see if I could leave a message. Phone was answered live (what?) by Josh and booked an appointment for the next morning. Our Freon was low, Trevor came out and charged it. It's 90° today and we're good. Thanks Charest!
Josh is amazing! He came the day I called, showed up exactly on time, and was so quick! As a first time home buyer it’s easy to scammed on services you truly don’t know much about, but I’m glad I called Charest. My guy to guys from now on.
I had to call a company that serviced my furnace according to their website and this Charest company came up in the local listings. I had never dealt with them before but I had to trust the manufacturer. I scheduled the appointment which was quite quick I might add, and I'm so glad I did. Jordan was so polite and professional and I felt perfectly comfortable leaving him alone in the basement to do his job. He was 100% topnotch! As I understand it there are a few others like him at the company, Nick and Josh if I'm not mistaken that are just the same! I will definitely be calling them yearly for maintenance. And should I ever need a service call again now I know who I can depend on! Thank you to Charest for making this a great experience! I definitely recommend this company! 5 stars!

I have talked to and tried dozens of HVAC companies over the years - the big brands and the small shops - and, without a doubt, Charest is the best HVAC company I've ever worked with. They are incredibly knowledgeable, they're very competitively priced, their service is prompt, professional, and extremely personal. They get to know their customers and they make sure their customers are taken care of. I will never use another HVAC company!!
I feel five stars is not high enough of a rating for this company. I have used them multiple times on my rental homes. When you call the emergency number at 1:30AM because of a heating/AC problem, the owner answers! Nice, very nice. And he is responsive. On time every time. Leaves the workspace as clean as he found it. very price competitive. His team focuses on me, the client, and not themselves. Very refreshing. Makes heating and cooling challenges very non stressful. Thank you, Josh and your team at Charest heating and cooling. You make my life as a landlord so much easier. thank you, thank you. Tom
I will start by saying I never write reviews. My furnace stopped working this past Saturday. Charest responded quickly and diagnosed the problem within an hour after I called. I was told it would require a new blower motor. Received call that I also required a blower control board. Quote was for $1740. I was stuck with no heat so I approved work. Upon approval my furnace was fixed within two hours. 3 hours of work and less than $300 in parts. What a ripoff. He knew I didn’t have heat. I wouldn’t ever use them again and would never recommend. This should have been no more the $600 repair.
If you need a furnace give them a call, they are very professional & caring. Josh {the owner} really knows his stuff & was able to provide my family with a new furnace just in time for the cold. They are reasonable & makes sure the job is done right. Thanks very much for such an Amazing job! Josh.
Josh was able to stop by within hours of calling to fix my furnace. He was super friendly and quickly took care of the issue. 10/10 recommend and I will call him again when needed!
I gave this place a call the day after Christmas, on a Saturday, hoping to get my heating issue resolved. My house wasn't staying up the temperature, but the heat was still occasionally going on. Josh picked up the call and was very friendly. I explained my issue, and he said he'd be able to squeeze me in and gave me the prices up front. He showed up exactly when he said he would and went straight to work. He diagnosed the issue, fixed it, and thoroughly walked me through exactly what was wrong. It was super helpful for a new homeowner such as myself. Josh was very friendly and very informative. I appreciate how quickly he was able to resolve the issue.
We added a large family room and master bathroom on our house. We needed a new HE furnace, AC, power vent water heater, new ductwork for the addition, a bathroom vent, and our gas dryer, supply line and vent moved. Charest H&C was recommended to us from a very good friend who had used them in the past. Josh and his crew always arrived when they said they would and they did impeccable work. They were very clever in how they altered our existing ductwork to accommodate the needs of the addition. During the continued construction, I had an issue where I needed to completely stop the flow of air to the addition and Josh responded immediately to offer a solution. We highly recommend Josh and his crew to anyone requiring any HVAC work, from the simplest need to extensive projects like ours.
You will not find better service or a better crew. Very professional, truly above and beyond.

The new owner, Josh, was very helpful and patient explaining everything we needed for a new AC and furnace. He was out for about 2 hours explaining how everything worked and answered all of our questions. We had 4 different companies come out to give us a quote. Charest was very competitive, but the time he took to explain everything and why we needed what we did opposed to something bigger is one of the main reasons we went with them. The install went well, and again he took the time to make sure we understood everything. Great customer service and I would highly recommend him!
Charest recently added a cold air return and a new vent in my basement, they also rerouted some pipes and ducts for increased head room. The owner, Josh, is great to deal with and is very knowledgeable. His crew is extremely professional and the quality of work is excellent. I couldn't be happier, highly recommended!
We had a new furnace and air conditioner installed. We have only been in the house for a few years, but both were original to the house (1970's). We were not really sure what was the best route to go in terms of brands, power, ductwork, etc. We hosted a miniature bid and had 4 different companies propose their recommendations and talk through the different options. We found Charest to not only be competitively priced, but they were also able to exceed all of our expectations. We had one quote try to sell an option at double the price. It also goes a long way when the people you are dealing with are personable and friendly. Would recommend.
Charest Heating and Cooling is my “Go To” professional when I need any type of heating/cooling/hot water heater type of work completed. I have several properties and over the past several years Charest’s ability to quickly, professionally, and economically handle a variety of tasks has been second to none. They never try to oversell a customer to purchase a big-ticket item that is not needed. Charest’s crew understands dwellings and the appropriate mechanicals to maintain them. Josh, the new owner, and his team took care of us this winter when our furnace broke down. One call and we were warm again by the next day. I will definitely be recommending them in the future.
