5 stars all day long for James! He is the nicest and most honest person you will meet! You can trust he won’t try to upsell our gouge you. Rather than replace my 15-20 year old Furnace, James went out of his way to call several parts distributors to find a on older rare motor (not available in standard parts sites) to replace mine that had seized up. Ended up costing a few hundred dollars rather than a few thousand. James is out to earn your 5 stars!
James is an amazing technician and even better person. I first had a different technician come look at my heating system after the heat stopped working, and he said I could either try a costly repair that may or may not work (~$1000) or get a full furnace replacement ($4k-5k). Being such a big purchase, I decided to get a second opinion from James. I gave him all the information I had, including the other technician's recommendation to replace the system. James was able to immediately come in, diagnose the true issue, and resolve it for his standard hourly rate, saving me thousands of dollars. He could have easily piggybacked on the other technicians assessment and upsold me on a full system replacement, but instead simply fixed the issue. I will be recommending James to all my family and friends, and be coming back to Change in the Weather for all future HVAC needs.
James and his colleague did an outstanding job. They were very professional, and great with my dogs, while handling the physically demanding task of replacing my furnace and air conditioner. I appreciate the way they were able to figure out the best ways to overcome the unforeseen obstacles they faced. And finally, they saved me more than 20% of what I was quoted by a big company that has to pay for things like an office, a fleet of trucks and a place to store those trucks!
Without a doubt my best experience with a contractor ever! James and the crew from Change in the Weather are true professionals and exceeded my expectations in every category. James came highly recommended from a friend. Throughout the process of installing our new air conditioner and furnace I could not be more happy with his communication, punctuality, attention to detail and workmanship!
