They were Supposed to check a problem, I ended up with a system that leaked from 2nd floor to basement. They never came back to make corrections that we they promised to make. $900 in damages

I am writing this review on behalf of my parents. Champs Heating and Cooling LLC has rendered piss poor all-around service. Their services were requested on June 23rd to fix their central air unit. Today is August 13th and the issue has yet to be resolved. Also on today, the guy they sent out brought the wrong size board so now they have to wait for the correct one to be shipped. In the meantime, he left the fan on but the a/c is not working. And the company phone has a voicemail that is full so we can’t leave a message! It’s 85 degrees inside my parent’s home right now and it’s not okay! This is the most deplorable, sloppy and unprofessional service I have ever encountered. I warn you, do not go with this company. I blame American Home Shield (homeowners insurance company) in part for sending them knowing their BBB rating, but I will send a separate complaint to them.

These folks misdiagnosed the issue with our AC twice, and left us without ac for 20 days in extreme heat. They Did not complete either of the repairs they thought they needed to do. Champs repeatedly missed appointments and left us in disarray. As others mentioned, it’s very tough to get them on the phone and we found that when we really needed an update, their phone was off. If you’re sent to Champs from a home warranty company, please push for a different service provider. It is not worth the headache.

Poor communication, indifferent customer service. Almost impossible to get ahold of for updates and scheduling because the mailbox is full and they only reply sporadically. Ordered a part for us and did not make us aware that it was already in and they had replaced it. So, we were "waiting" on the part for 3 days without an update or A/C while it had already been fixed without our knowledge.

Yesterday, I was assigned Champs Heating and Cooling LLC from HSA. I received a call from them this morning saying they were in the area. David came out within the next couple hours. He was professional and polite. He fixed the air and let us know what to do to keep it working properly. I'm very happy with my service.

This company is horrible. I read the other reviews and seems like it is a pattern of no shows and no calls. I too got them from my home warranty company and i got one visit and several promised visit of course which were all no shows or calls.NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL!

License Plate number OHU-022 is driving super recklessly! Speeding(Beyond what would at least be acceptable), Driving too close to the back of other peoples cars, and purposely speeding up to not let other people get to a different lane numerous times! I don’t know about anyone else but I want nothing to do with a company that lets its employees drive in this manner.

We tried using this company through our Home Warranty they said they would be out to our house the very next day. They never showed up or even called us to say they couldn't make it to the house. Then I tried calling them multiple times to find out where they were no on ever answered. I finally got ahold of them on Day 2 they promised they would be out that day. Again they never showed or called. On Day 3 my Home Warranty company spoke to them and Champs told them the would be out to my house the very next day. It is now Day 3 and they did it again. Don't ever use this company. Frustrating Unprofessional Company.

I was referred to Champs Heating and Cooling through my home warranty. Sam and David were very professional. Sam initially told me they would try to get to me within 24 hours, but definitely within 48. They were able to fix my AC within 24 hours! And unlike some of the other reviews, Sam was responsive when I called. Great service!!!

We just bought our house and discovered the HVAC wasn't working properly. The old home owner had already set up an appointment with this company and they had pushed it past closing. Fine with us, it was paid for anyway. But it wasn't fine at all. They've been a nightmare to get ahold of and when I did they promised to call me back three times but never did (even after I had informed them of how I failed to get a call back the previous times). Each attempt to schedule something (at various hours of the day so I know I'm not just grabbing them at a busy time) have resulted in brush offs and vague promises of having a scheduler call later. All in all, avoid this company like the plague. Zero communication and have stalled off weeks of which I could have contacted another company but didn't because I was too busy messing around with these guys. I would have rather been told they simply didn't want to work with me ages ago.

This company was assigned by my home warranty in response to a maintenance request for my AC. Since the assignment, their communication and follow through has been horrible. The one person that has the phone is overwhelmed and cannot handle scheduling, maintenance, part orders etc. We have been without AC for 11 days now because of this company.

Was referred by my home warranty company. After the first A/C repair company told us they couldn’t get to us until Friday (A/C went out on a Saturday) the warranty company contacted Champs and they were able to schedule us for Wednesday morning. They had cancellations and made it to us by Tuesday morning. Was so happy they were professional and worked quickly to get us up and running again.

Champs came to our home via referral from American Home Shield for an HVAC unit that stopped cooling. The technician said we needed 5 pounds of freon at a cost of $135/pound (of which $10/pound would be paid by AHS) without checking anything else that could have caused the problem. I said they cannot add freon until they identify the leak and repair it, which they repeatedly declined to do because we did not have a greater than 5 pound leak. It turns out the circuit board had failed creating a fan problem, and this can produce a similar set of symptoms that we had our unit. The company also took 5 days to come out for a failed AC and 7 days to submit an incorrect diagnosis to AHS. Beware of Champs. They may go straight to your freon, try to fill it without checking/repairing leaks, and skip over real problems.

Someone came out to check our problem, told us the price is”500$ I’m putting your order in now to get a compressor “ two weeks go by I call & check the status, they tell me I don’t see your address or problem on file so I need to come back out & check it..come out to check it, they say “oh yea I do remember coming here” again quoted 500$ another THREE WEEKS go by I call, “still waiting on your order” so finally I’m getting my ac fixed after almost 2 months, & STILL have to pay full price !!!!!!

The initial fix provided by champs heating and cooling seemed to open up another issue. After waiting a few days for a callback I had to call at least five times before I could get a hold of someone. I was told that they would be out in the between 10 AM and 2 PM to have a look. They never showed up or called. I repeatedly tried to call them after giving them until 3:30 PM to reach out to me. However, I only ever reached their voicemail. Three days later and I have called them three times today. They refuse to answer the phone or return a phone call at this point. Absolutely terrible to deal with. I will say that the gentleman who come out on the original service call was very nice, on time, and all-around great to deal with. Not sure what has changed since then.

After first dealing with a different company assigned by my home warranty company, Champs was a breath of fresh. Sam walked me through what he was doing, what the possible problems could be, and the associated repairs. The expectation is for the technician to be knowledgeable, but I also expect communication and feedback from any technician that comes to do work at my house. Unfortunately his company was not able to complete the job because it turned out he doesn't do repairs on my type of unit through the home warranty company. I was disappointed because I had a feeling i would have received fair, quality service.
