I cannot say enough good things about my recent experience with Capitol Cooling LLC my AC broke on the Fourth of July during a heat wave in Austin. Scott and his team were excellent and very quick to respond to set up the appointment, and repair my AC to keep my house, cool and comfortable again. Professional, reliable, and straightforward are all words I would use to describe my experience. 10 out of 10 would recommend.
Scott and his team were phenomenal. Responsive and well-priced, Capitol Cooling installed a completely new system in about 6 hours. Awesome.

Scott was punctual, knowledgeable, courteous and incredibly honest and fair with his explanations and prices. We have a 23 year old unit that Scott seems to have bought us some time on. Incredibly thankful and Scott/Cap Cooling will be the first call when the inevitable happens to our AC in the future in this Texas heat.

I must admit I was thoroughly impressed with the prompt service provided by Capitol Cooling. Scott came to my apartment with very short notice, and he fixed the issue with the capacitor on my coolant unit. Probably what I liked the most was that Scott took time to explain to me what was going on, and he showed me the pieces he replaced and the damaged capacitor. It's really hard to find people and companies that you can trust these days, but I can honestly say this was one of my best experiences. They swiftly diagnosed the issue and resolved it in no time. I highly recommended them
Scott has been my go-to technician for both my business & home HVAC needs for several years. He is knowledgeable, thorough & very professional & has been super helpful in last minute situations, including recently during a critical heatwave. I continue to recommended him to others because he’s an excellent resource at an affordable price. I am continuously impressed by his responsiveness & attentiveness to his clients.
The company responded immediately to my call for help. Scott did a repair on a unit installed by a different company. He wasn't certain the repair would hold because the unit had been poorly installed the first time. The repair didn't hold so he came back, replaced the unit at a very fair price and gave me credit for the previous visit. I am VERY pleased with the new unit but most importantly, the service. I felt that Capital Cooling did a great job at a very fair price. I will call them again if I am in further need of help.

Scott was on time and was right to the work after introducing himself in a way that was not only professional but also made my fiancé and her mother feel safe and also didn’t feel like they had to worry about being taken advantage of like other HVAC services in the last which had even asked inappropriate questions after I had left. But by the time I had return Scott had figured out a solution to the problem legitimately saving her over 10k vs what she was told by all the other technicians and he had even stuck around long enough to make sure the unit would successfully reach the thermostat which it did not so he replaced it with a thermostat that he had in his truck from a previous job that was gonna be thrown away but it made everything run more smoothly and she couldn’t be happier. I could go on about the way he was able to entertain the dogs as well as offering them treats making sure to ask us if they were allowed first. But this guy is a different level of professional and doesn’t try to skip to the end by replacing everything. He really saved the day and we will be recommending him to everyone we know. I really hope this reaches people so anyone looking for a serious pro can stop looking and I suggest you book him now because I don’t see him staying free for long.

I have now used Capitol Cooling on 2 occasions. Once to have my 36 year old AC fixed and the other for system maintenance on another newer AC unit. Before being referred to Scott, I called a few larger A/C shops and during the intake calls, once I mentioned a 36 year old AC, they automatically went to try and sell me a new unit. I felt like Scott had my best interest in mind, versus trying to upsell me on a bigger issue that could lead to more business for him. I remember thinking, his straightforward approach made me want to give him exclusive business. He was flexible, walked me through my options and did a great job giving me preventative advice to avoid similar issues. The overall experience has left me convinced that I’d never want to work with anyone else. I’d highly recommend his services!
I asked Scott to bid on replacement of my old 3-ton air conditioner. He quoted a more reasonable price as compared to the “big” HVAC companies, but when he inspected my existing unit, he was very honest and told me that my unit was performing very well and did not need to be replaced at this point in time. My next annual service contract will be with Scott … and he will be my first call when my AC unit does fail and needs service and/or replacement.
Scott did an amazing job while servicing our AC unit. He was very thorough, responsive and honest. He doesn’t price gouge and his prices are fair. Very happy with his service.

Scott was efficient, professional and explained the problem and the solution in a way that actually made sense. My emergency heat was stuck and constantly running which was driving up my electric bill. Scott was quick to respond and fixed the issue within 15 min. Thanks Scott!
