UPDATE 4/3/2023, still 5 STARS highly recommend Burke's Heating and Air! 1 year ago Burke's installed my new upstairs AC unit (and serviced my existing downstairs ac unit) and all COOL during extremely hot days with high humidity. Excellent work! Burke's Heating and Air exceeded all my expectations above and beyond. I plan to call on Burke's Heating and Air for future service! Thank you again Mr. Walter Burke!

Walter and his team did an excellent job from diagnosis to installation of heat pump and AC unit. Pricing was extremely favorable after getting other quotes. Also, very impressed with the level of communication and responsiveness.
Cannot recommend highly enough. Most professional HVAC provider in the Triangle. Extremely high quality. Always goes above and beyond. For example in one routine check, they noticed that the AC drain pipe was uncoated, so they painted it to match my trim. No charge. In another example, they repaired the door to my crawlspace. Don't bother with anyone else
I needed my 13 year old dying heat pump replaced. I had 3 highly rated companies come to give me estimates. Burke's Heating and Air were the most responsive and Walter even managed to triage my old heater and got it to work long enough to ensure that I did not freeze and my pipes did not burst. Walter also did not try to up sell or over charge me, unlike the other two companies. I was able to get a top of the line heat pump installed in a very short time and can now face this winter without worry. I HIGHLY recommend Burke's Heating and Air and plan to use them for service for as long as I own my home.
11/17/2021 Walter Burke's Heating & Air came to the "rescue" after 2 major Raleigh HVAC companies insisted that our old upstairs attic furnace couldn't be repaired. This was a distressful financial situation, facing $6,000-$11,000 to replace whole 2-Ton 14 Seer system. Their inspection, cleaning & diagnostic review led to the discovery that the pilot light was out, as a result of gas shutoff whole house when new hot water tank was installed early 2021. He was knowledgeable, professional & fast, spending time discussing possible outcomes before & after actual home visit. As a senior, this was a wonderful, welcome experience!! Thx!
Arrived very quickly. Assessed the problem very quickly and double checked some items. Also takes time to teach new people a trade that is becoming increasingly difficult to find new people for. Overall, A+ Service.
Outstanding experience, thank you! Repair was initiated through my AHS policy. First company took a week to schedule then after visit, AHS reassigned it without me knowing. Burke came out the next day, figured out what was broken and had it fixed the next morning- really went above & beyond. The problem and plan was explained to me which was very informative and helpful. Very happy consumer and would highly recommend.
Just had a wonderful experience with Burke’s Heating and Air! Walter Burke, the owner, informed me that he is a licensed HVAC contractor and a licensed electrician. He also personally takes care of every repair and installation, so you are guaranteed to be receiving the benefits of his licensures and years of experience. Walter came the same day as the call. He discussed the best plan for diagnostics and upon our approval, proceeded to do so. He was respectful, courteous, kindly wore a mask the entire time on a hot and humid day during these times, and provided information that was empowering to learn. After previously speaking with others, we were under the impression that we needed to go a very expensive route to have functioning heating and air. However, after speaking with Walter, we now more clearly understand what is necessary and what is not. He explained everything thoroughly and instead of rushing out, asked if there were any further questions he could answer. He also went out of his way to assist with an additional electrical question. It was a blessing to have his wisdom and assistance today! Will definitely be using his services for any HVAC needs in the future. So grateful!
I am so thankful for Burke's Heating and Air! We had some problems with our air conditioning system cooling so we called a well-known company in Raleigh to come and see what was causing the issue. We have a home warranty but did not want to involve them until this well-known company came and told us the problem. The company told us basically that our whole HVAC system would need to be replaced at a cost of $18,000 +. We called our warranty company to make a claim and the warranty company sent Burke's. Burke's came the very same day we called. The owner of the company was the one who came and he looked over everything thoroughly. He was so professional and you could tell he had a lot of experience in the HVAC industry. After doing his assessment, it turned out all we needed was some new coolant and a little bit of cleaning to take care of the problem and now our house cools exactly like it should! And Burke's charged us less than $400 for this....they saved us from paying $18,000 unnecessarily to the well-known company and I am forever grateful. The amount of worry and money that Burke's saved us is just indescribable. I will be using Burke's for all of my future HVAC needs!
Walter was great from start to finish! He was very responsive when I called and got me set up for service right away. He let me know when he was on his way and was very prompt. He was very professional and courteous and took time to answer questions I had. I appreciated the great service!

Very responsive anf professional. They didn't try to sell me on extras, and just what I needed. I was very comfortable that they were being truthful and had my best interests in mind.
AC went out over the weekend. We have a 12 year old gas pack and feared I would need to replace it. Burke’s Heating and air came out quickly and got it running again. Reasonable price, very professional service, gave us a couple tips to extend the life of our main unit. Will definitely use them again when needed.
HVAC response was great, on time, courteous, very thorough and knowledgeable. Not in area, but have a rental and called Burke’s to help tenant resolve problem. Owner took time with them and me to explain the issues (I like to understand these things!), how he would proceed with fix, and what safety measures the HVAC unit provided thereafter. The system now running effectively and efficiently with no complaints from tenants also I plan to have Walter take care of ongoing maintenance routinely. Understand fix was done neat and clean during his work, going in and out of the house. Other service techs in past walk in with muddy shoes and leave a mess. I would highly recommend using Burke’s Heating and Air.
